I would like to have known that as we drove 30 minutes to get here and were quite inconvenienced. Being late was out of our control. She asked how much longer, I told her she was right down the road, she said, well she has 2 minutes. She could have given us a minute longer or been kind, that goes a long way. I got my dog out of the car and walked inside, Stephanie was standing around, she wasn't doing another dog. You mean to tell me a couple minutes made a difference?!

We have a black lab who doesn't get groomed other than nail trims, so I researched extensively for a groomer that could suit our doodles needs and keep her looking as fluffy and adorable as possible. I had seen many people in our town mention online how much they loved Show Dog Grooming so I decided to look into taking Zoey there. With 5 star reviews from happy customers across the board, as well as many pictures they had posted on Facebook of their grooming style, I knew Show Dog would be a no brainer. Our puppy is only 4 months old, so this was her first grooming experience. She was greeted with smiles and open arms and instantly shown love from Scott and his groomers. After discussing how I wanted her cut, I left Zoey and was told I'd be called when she was done. About 3 hours later, Scott sent me a picture of my adorable pup, groomed and decked out in Christmas gear! She looked perfect. He wanted to make sure I was happy with how she was cut and I certainly was. I came to pick her up and brought my Lab for the ride. Scott was also kind enough to squeeze in a nail trim for him without an appointment! Our Lab hates getting his nails cut, but their love and affection made his experience as easy as possible. I'm so happy to have found a kind, compassionate, and skilled groomer who truly loves dogs and their work. I explained the situation/problem and they took my dog out of the room (out of my sight) to express his glands. I heard him yelp so loudly I almost went back there. Over $300 later, they shaved his rear end, told me his glands were empty, sent me home with scented wipes, and told me it was just a hygiene issue. They shaved his rear end so close to the skin that the area was extremely irritated and raw. I couldn't use the fragrance wipes if I even wanted to. I've had my dog for almost 3 years now and this hasn't been a problem until a few weeks ago. I took him to another vet about a week later, who within five minutes of examining him (IN FRONT OF ME) found a large mass in the exact area where the other vet had shaved. This vet not only checked his glands and found the mass, but also tried to drain the mass (which was unsuccessful), took samples to send to the lab to get tested for cancer, and provided two different medications. Did I mention it cost less than Heart + Paw? I asked for a refund and they only offered a credit. I demanded a refund and told them I would not be returning. The Dr. who called only seemed interested in covering themselves, explaining that they have seen several pets who come and within a few days, the problem drastically worsens and they weren't able to examine it at the time of the appointment. It felt very much like the Dr. was trying to say this mass grew within the week between seeing a vet at Heart + Paw and going to the other vet. Now, I'm not trained in veterinary medicine, but with the size of this mass, it seems nearly impossible. You're a vet office. Patient first; not covering your ass first. WARNING: Do not take your pets here. Save yourself the hassle, money, and disappointment.

It was coming from the grooming area. I stood and watched. The groomer was clearly upset at the dog and being rough and push the dog a few times. The little dog looked scared. She seemed to sense me watching and started to be nicer to the dog. I asked a few people if it was their dog. It wasn't anyone's dog. I took a picture to show the dog. If this is your dog. I hope you see this and don't take him/her back. This is why I never left my dog at a groomer.
