Lex, our 1-year-old Husky/Malamute mix, was a handful…read more He destroyed things around the house, barked when he didn't get his way (especially when it was time for his crate or bedtime), jumped and humped people and other dogs, counter surfed, dug, pulled, and basically did whatever he wanted. The biggest problem was that he just didn't listen. We reached out to several trainers and eventually found Viki through a mutual friend. From the beginning, she was super understanding of our situation, and her rates were very reasonable. After our consultation, she gave us a ton of advice and resources to work on with Lex before he even went to board with her. We started seeing changes pretty quickly, which made us feel a lot better about leaving him with her. During his boarding stay, Viki sent weekly videos/pictures, so we always knew how he was doing. By the time we had our final session, we honestly couldn't believe the difference. It felt like we had a completely different dog. Lex could heel, stopped pulling, wasn't constantly barking or chewing things, stopped counter surfing, and had an amazing recall. One thing Viki really emphasized was that the training doesn't stop when you pick your dog up. We needed to continue reinforcing everything Lex learned at home so it would become part of his everyday behavior. We actually did continue training with him consistently for a few months until we just got lazy. But even after that, Lex is still an amazing dog. I can trust him off-leash, his recall is incredible, he doesn't constantly bark, and he actually knows how to settle down and take a nap. I can even take a nap on the couch and trust that I'm not going to wake up to my house being destroyed. And honestly, being able to trust our Husky off-leash is something we never thought we'd be able to do. We genuinely appreciate everything Viki has done for Lex and would absolutely recommend her to anyone struggling with their dog. She clearly cares about the dogs she works with, and the difference she made with Lex has been huge.

Stella helped me with my dog Poppy when I was having a lot of issues with her reactivity. From…read moresession 1 and following her advice I started to see a huge difference with Poppy's calmness. By session 6 I could actually take her out and walk with her without her tugging on the leash. She got better at recall as well as listening to commands off leash in enclosed areas. While I couldn't finish my training with her due to me moving to the east coast, I truly appreciate her for how great she was at helping me make small changes that significantly impacted Poppy's calmness, patience and reactivity. I will continue to reinforce her training tips with Poppy to help her learn better. Bonus: Stella also provides tips with how certain products would work better for my dog and they actually did. Just introducing a new treat on our walks expedited her progress on leash pulling on our walks. Mega Bonus: she had a notion diary on all our training tips and videos for the session as well as homework. It helped me keep track of Poppy's progress and enforce the training at home easily.
