When I first moved to her area, a neighbor recommended Dani to me, and I was a little nervous - pickups at my house without me there? No in-person visits to the farm? I was just supposed to trust this stranger with everything? Heck I have probably spent maybe 15 minutes max seeing Dani in person over the years (bc her team usually does our pickup) and yet I now trust her like family bc I have seen her put my dog - and all his unique quirks and personality - first, time and time again. - Pre-COVID it was amazing to find someone who could do pickups and dropoffs - I, like most people, can't guarantee a drop off on my way to work or even a specific pickup before 5pm, which made arrangements with typical daycares impossible. Knowing that my dog would be home and comfortable was amazing. - My dog - didn't like strangers before, was scared of the first team member to come pick him up - no worries, Dani moved the schedule around to make sure someone he was comfortable with was picking him up, even coming personally for some periods of time! Her team of dog lovers are also awesome - you can tell they're happy to see your dog too! - Neighbor moved, we were no longer super convenient for her route, she could have reasonably dropped us or raised our rates, but she stuck with us, going out of her way every day and never increasing our rates by a dime. In fact, she rescheduled our pickups around days that another dog whom Dani recognized as my dog's "best friend" could attend. - COVID hit, and for several reasons, we had to greatly reduce how often we could send my pup. Dani was there for us, accommodating around our life changes, payment timelines, scheduling needs, all completely outside her policies. It was obvious she made it personal at this point. It was all just her supporting my dog as his personal guardian angel. As we start returning to offices, I'm struggling to imagine going back to commuting without Dani. We are about to move, and Dani's service area was actually one of the top 5 considerations in our housing search. When we were unable to make that happen this time, Dani graciously offered to help us find a new option. She's in our corner and all about our dog's safety through and through. I can't recommend her enough. If your dog can join Heeling Star, you have to do it!

She took my dog Otto as a client and walked him fr 2003-2006 until we had to move across the bridge to buy a home. Since then i looked for various dog walkers, and we either didn't click or they just didn't do a good job walking the dogs. Suzan set the bar pretty high. she made sure Otto was well socialized and super tired lol... he was so happy to see her every single time and had formed a pack of friends, life can't get better for a doggie. Otto passed away not too long ago and we are starting to look around for puppies. as we reach this stage of our lives again, I have been thinking of Suzan a ton and really wishing i could find someone who loves, plays, and exercises doggies rain or shine :o). Both of our rescue dogs come with their own set of challenges, but Suzan patiently and knowledgeably is able to make it work. You can really tell that loves what she does. We have two rescue pit bulls, Panda and Boba, each with their own unique personalities and behavioral challenges. Throughout our training journey, Jared has been incredibly patient and resourceful. He's always willing to adapt his approach and try different techniques, tools, and training exercises--from various leashes and collars to using stuffed animals for realistic practice scenarios. Jared has also been flexible and responsive with scheduling, which we really appreciate since my partner and I are usually only available on weekends. Over the past two years, we've moved to different cities throughout the Peninsula, yet we've continued working with Jared because of the trust he's built with both us and our dogs--and the results we've seen.

She was quiet and a bit confused in those early days, and we honestly didn't know what "normal" even looked like. We started working with Jared literally the day after we brought her home, and that made all the difference. What stood out right away is that he doesn't just train the dog, he helps you understand your dog's psychology. That shift was huge for us. Instead of guessing or reacting, we started to feel like we actually knew what she needed and how to respond. He guided us through the basics like potty training and getting her to sleep through the night, and once those clicked, life got dramatically easier. More importantly, he gave us a framework we can keep using as new challenges come up. Our puppy still has some separation anxiety and can be a bit needy, but now it feels manageable. We're making steady, incremental progress and feel confident we have the tools to keep going. Jared has also been great with our whole family. He builds trust quickly, explains things clearly, and makes everyone feel comfortable and capable. You never feel judged or overwhelmed. If you're a first-time dog owner, especially with a young puppy, I'd strongly recommend working with him early. It sets the right foundation and saves you a lot of stress down the line.
