Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I stumbled across this location and I was extremely pleased. I had to exercise extreme restraint not to get any of the goodies in the dessert case. I saw pineapple upside down cake bars and berry cobbler bars that looked delicious. I settled on the iced almond milk latte and it was completely delicious. Definitely recommend visiting if you're near for some coffee. A treat for those who live nearby.

uncomfortable and embarrassing experience. I'm from Seattle,…read moreand I was happy to support a new local coffee shop. I even left a generous tip, but unfortunately, that did not seem to matter. I ordered something that I could clearly see they had available in the display. The employee took my money and told me they had it, but then she refused to give me what I ordered and instead tried to offer me something else. I felt like she wanted me to leave rather than serve me what I had paid for. The kitchen staff then brought me the replacement item, but it was very cold and was served with an unfriendly attitude. I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed that I ended up throwing it away. I cannot say for certain what the reason was, but I left feeling that I was treated differently because of the color of my skin. That is how the experience made me feel, and I think customers deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their race or background. I will not be returning. This was a very disappointing and hurtful experience, especially for my first visit. I understand that you were out of the item I wanted, and I would have appreciated a simple apology and explanation at the time. What upset me was not simply that you were out of the item. It was the way I felt I was treated after I had already paid, and the way the replacement item was brought to me. I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I shared how the experience made me feel. Instead of telling me that I should be embarrassed, I would have appreciated you acknowledging my experience and simply saying, "I'm sorry you felt this way." I am not looking for an argument. I was hoping for an apology and respectful communication. I wish you and your business the best.

There were two vehicles in front of me, and I did have to wait about 12-15 minutes to get to order, but when I saw their menu, I could see why. Their drinks are absolutely showstopping. I mean, they had elephant ear whipped cream, come on! They had staple beverages along with seasonal beverages, and the barista was so kind and patient even though I didn't know what I wanted when I got there. I was able to make my choice and get my beverages within a few minutes. They were perfectly balanced and very delicious. Since it's a house kiosk style coffee stop, it's pretty quiet around, and the barista did make a bit of small talk. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and will definitely be back when we're next in the area!

One of the biggest perks of Cafe Seoul is that they're open late, which worked out perfectly, so we…read morestopped by 9ish in the evening since my family was craving something sweet after stuffing ourselves at Korean bbq for dinner. I'm generally a latte person, so I went with the Matcha Pandan, and I thought it was pretty good! Most of my family was specifically craving ice cream, though, so they went for the soft serve. They have a few different drinks and desserts to choose from, making it a convenient place when everyone wants something a little different. My biggest gripe is the space (really, the lack thereof). We were a party of seven, and Cafe Seoul is extremely small and cramped inside. Seating is very limited, and we couldn't really sit together until some people left and others were kind enough to share or give up chairs. There were also a few students hanging out when we visited, so I definitely wouldn't count on this being a comfortable sit-down spot if you're coming with a larger group. The layout doesn't help much either. The menu and some of the seating are awkwardly positioned near the bathroom, and at certain points you're basically squeezing past people just to get around. For a quick drink or dessert, it's manageable, but I wouldn't personally choose this as somewhere to settle in and hang out for a long time with a big party. If you manage to snag enough seats, consider yourself lucky. Service was okay. It took a while for everyone's orders to come out, and unfortunately one of ours was completely missed. We eventually realized it hadn't even been included in the original transaction, so we had to go back up and pay for it separately. Nothing that ruined the night, but between that and the wait, service wasn't necessarily a highlight either. Cafe Seoul gets the job done and meets standard expectations. My Matcha Pandan was tasty, my family got their late-night soft serve fix, and being open later than your average coffee shop is a bonus. I wouldn't go significantly out of my way for it, but if I'm ever back in Federal Way and craving a late-night latte or dessert, I'd consider stopping by again.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #117…read more We visited Onit Cafe on a rainy Saturday afternoon in June, hoping to score an after lunch boba. Sprinting through the downpour, as we hadn't expected the rain, we threw ourselves into this modern, yet industrial shop, where we saw a couple of people sitting inside like us to wait out the rain. We placed our order with the friendly bobarista and got our drink within a couple of minutes. Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea has a heavy powdery creamer flavor, but it's not gritty or silty at all. Unfortunately it's so heavy that the drink tastes almost entirely like creamer with only a tiny bit of flowery finish. It's not the most pleasant flavor due to this quality. While the creamer is on the heavier end, the sweetness is not; at half sweet it's not too sweet. The boba is very good, super bouncy and chewy with basically the ideal texture. They aren't marinated that long so aren't quite that sweet or flavorful. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Onit Cafe is one of those rare places where I liked the boba far more than the drink. I don't visit Federal Way too often, but if I'm even down there again, I'd give it another shot to see if I can get a better drink next time.
