Such a great place. A total gem. Kind bartenders. The jukebox has awesome music. Everything you want in an Austin vibe bar.

Friendly bartenders, a really good jukebox, pool, darts, some cool old movie playing on TV and an outdoor patio.

The Flor De Fuego was smokeyy and spicy with a kick, while the El Mercado was perfect for my sweet-drink-loving heart. The space is small with limited seating, but a nice date night spot. Since they just opened, service was a bit slow and crowd management could use some polishing. Definitely recommend making a reservation so you don't have to wait for tables to free up. The mezcal selection is amazing, which is really the whole point. It's the best way to try something new, with over 20 different agave spirits from all over Mexico. The staff is super knowledgeable and passionate, and they take the time to walk you through the differences in flavor, region, and even who made it. You can tell they really care about honoring the traditions and the people behind the spirits. Cocktails are thoughtful and seasonal, but I'd recommend trying at least one pour neat. The food is just as good, as you might have guessed by the menu next door. The thick cut tortilla chips are unbeatable, especially when paired with fresh guacamole and homemade salsa. Whether you're a mezcal nerd or just curious, La Mezca is one of the most unique and thoughtful drinking experiences in Austin. I'll definitely be back.

It seemed quite busy but I was still able to get the bartenders attention amid a large group in front of the bar. I would say it's very similar to kitty cohens in terms of cocktail quality and over all atmosphere. It's also dog friendly which is a plus since I love bringing my dog wherever I can.

The drinks were pretty good, I had the moon tower cocktail which was a little sweet but still pretty strong and my date had a frozen cocktail which he also liked a lot. There is parking in the area (streets) that I do believe is mostly free; I ended up parking across the street at Este because I ate there first but there were lots of other cars parked around the place. You order at the bar; menus are on the table but you have to walk up/nobody serves you at the table. You also seat yourself. Bathrooms were quite clean too! Overall this place has a pretty good vibe; I have other go to spots around town I would choose first, but I liked Teddy's and if you live nearby/in east Austin it's a great option for a drink and chill :)

The drinks are good, the food is good, the vibes are great, and every cashier/bartender/barista I've had has been fast and kind. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's all well kept. There is sometimes trivia or drag queen night going on outside, something to keep in mind. There are also a few spots in the front of the building you can sit at, but that area tends to fill up with smokers so be aware. There are vegan options which are great. The margaritas are good and the last time I got a Michelada I was given four olives and that made it extra delicious for me. The coffee drinks are solid too. I have yet to have a bad time here. A great spot for last minute meet ups or other casual get togethers. I have a few friends that love this place so I'll be sure to come back.

No sweat, more of a laid back atmosphere and I'm pretty chill. We ordered off the QR code and started talking. 40 minutes later our food hasn't arrived, and still no one had come to our table. Mind you, we were right next to the bar. I hailed someone down and asked about the food. They went to check and said their POS system was down. Probably something you should either 1) know and let people know 2) find out seeing no orders coming with people there 3) or find out the quick and personable way by saying hello or checking on people at your table. After they realized this, they didn't really seem to care, but gave us a free queso for our wasted time. Food is decent for the price, but don't expect decent service.

Came here last night for the first time! Here's what we ordered:…read more Crab Rangoons (5 out of 10)- You get 5 small rangoons for $10. I know i have been ruined by cheap chinese places that fill theirs with cream cheese, but I don't think there was any cream cheese in these at all (which is specified on menu). The big place they lost points was how overly salted and peppered the outside was, as well as the fact there was something kinda of peppery and spicy inside that didn't add flavor, just burned my mouth. Bring the cream cheese! Burger with fried rice side (6/10)- the burger was good! Not the most earth shattering but not a ton of notes either. Would order again. The fried rice was not our favorite- while cooked well it had a strong seaweed or fish oil taste that was pretty dominating. Queso (7/10) - This was my favorite of the night. A good helping of really melty, gooey cheese with crispy wonton chips and also raw broccoli, which I appreciated. I do wish there had been more of the black garlic flavor which I didnt taste it at all, or chili oil, and less salt. Mapo Tofu (3/10) - This dish was fried tofu and ground beef in a sicy szechuan sauce, with white rice that was cooked with beef fat and pickled something. First off- it did not look appetizing. It was a big plate of brown that looked like dog food, and the texture was exactly how I would expect dog food to me. The layer of the dish was so weird- the beef fast for the rice was just pooled at the bottom, then you had a pile of the fried tofu with the dog food mixture on top. Which did not taste good. I just ended up eating the top of the white rice and the pieces of fried tofu. I usually love a good pickled element, but this was temperature hot and so it lost a lot of that acid bite that cold pickled veggies bring to a rich dish to cut through. It was a hard pass for me- texture wise, elements wise, and also just tasted like nothing except a burning pepper heat. Overall, all the food had a major salt problem and tasted very one note- everything just of reeked of black pepper and just generally made my mouth a little burny. Plus, the portions absolutely do not match the price point.
