I was curious if I could buy it at a discount. There was nobody I could find in the vicinity. I carried the item to the front of the store. I had no intention of carrying it back. I'd either get it at a discount or leave it there. The young lady at the front was very knowledgeable and helpful. And she was pleasant. She told me I could get a 15% discount or I could speak with the manager. That didn't sound fun but I thought, "why not, I'll give it a shot." I'm not really a talk with the manager kind of person. Most often I'd sooner just leave. This was a bit different though. It took a little while but I wasn't in a hurry. Once the manager got there, I showed him a few scratches and dings on the item. He quickly agreed to authorize 50% off. I guess it was a win. As I mentioned, I was a first time customer. I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality or price of this one item. It worked out well in the end though. Also, I saw a lot of nice, interesting things while I was walking through the store. I'm sure I'll be back. The issue was that Macy's has these prices at $200 over what the manufacturer website has (for the basic ZGR)... and won't price match. Nor will they offere free shipping like the manufacturer offers (with free returns also if needed). The manufacturer also throws in an extended warranty for free. So I will probably go with the manufacturer.

The fabric on a sofa, which is obviously meant to be sat on, should never pill. I have owned many chairs and sofas over the past 50 years and have never had this happen. FWIW, I weigh 130# and live alone so any use should not cause this. The company refuses to take responsibility for inferior fabric. Edit: The company contacted me to "fix" the problem but, in reality, they only responded online to make themselves look good to google review readers. Their "fix" was to say they won't do a damn thing to stand behind their product except to offer me 10% off a future purchase. As if I would ever buy there again!

She does everything right starting by being a good listener. She talks to you like she's your sibling watching as you try out selected mattresses. Alexis helps you select the pillow that will align your head properly. She not only has great product knowledge but she explains why certain features will benefit you so you get a good night's sleep. I visited all the area bedding stores and Alexis is the only one who went above and beyond to ensure the customer makes a purchase where you'll be satisfied for years to come. Delivery was a disaster! I paid for Premium delivery where the bed is delivered and set up. Drivers just dropped off the boxes and declined to set up. They said they had no notes or orders to set up. I finally, tediously cut through the boxes and plastic and set it up myself. I immediately called and could not connect so I drove to the store to ask what happened. I got no help from a manager. He kept stating no refunds. I returned later that week and received nearly $100 refund for failure to set up. There's a big disconnect between sales and distribution which diminishes the good feeling I had as a buyer. When I returned to ask for my refund there was a line at the counter with other disgruntled shoppers. Not a great impression. Lessons learned. I was very disappointed that the manager on duty didn't engage more and try to understand or resolve my delivery issue rather than ignoring it with a cavalier attitude. He was very defensive. My sales rep was the only shining part of this purchase. She was great!
