UPDATE: TWO WEEKS LATER Received $1100.....we spent $2182. This is absolutely unacceptable!! The store blocked my number from calling, but was able to call from work no issues?? I have filed a complaint with the BBB! I have also contacted two TV news stations to do a story!! I want the remaining amount!!!! .....I was so excited to purchase the Maggie sofa and ottoman and another rocker/recliner. The items were delivered to our condo on a Thursday and the two delivery guys absolutely refused to even attempt to get them up the outer stairway. They stood the sofa up on it's END and said, "See, it won't fit". My husband even tried to tell them if they turn it on the side, it would fit and he even offered to help. They got agitated and again said, "It won't fit". We were furious and told them to just put them back on the truck and return to the store. The next morning, we went to the Clearwater Florida store to complain. All they offered was a replacement sofa and to try again. We were upset at that point and just asked for a refund of the total amount. They told us we'd have to call customer service which I did. And guess what....they said we'd have to wait 7-1o days for a refund. read more

This has been, without question, the worst customer furniture experience I've ever had with any store. If I could give them negative stars I would! We purchased a brand new couch bed from Ashley Furniture -- a critical piece for our small studio, serving as both the only bed and only couch in the apartment. What followed has been nearly two years of broken promises, faulty parts, and jaw-dropping incompetence. The delivery was delayed for months. Not once -- multiple times. Despite us explaining repeatedly that this wasn't optional furniture, but the only place to sleep, no one seemed to care. Only after repeated calls and escalating frustration did they finally step in to help the situation which led to us having to purchase a smaller temporary couch while we continued to wait for ours to be delivered. Months after the delivery date, we finally received it. The metal structure broke almost immediately. Then began the endless cycle: waiting months for replacement parts, then waiting again for someone to actually install them. Rearranging work schedules to be there when they arrive, only giving you a timeframe the day before delivery. Then the same metal replacement part broke a second time. Causing us to go through this headache all over. We did not pay for a cheap piece of furniture. Due to the importance of it, we bought real leather couch bed and paid for the extended warranty, but were told Ashley Furniture was still responsible due to timing (the first time) and then that Ashley Furniture was responsible for this type of malfunction (the second time)-- a convenient dodge that delayed the process even more. We had to wait over a month for the part and then again for the technician to be scheduled. This time the technician showed up with a visibly bent, damaged part -- and insisted on installing it anyway. Unsurprisingly, it didn't work. So we were forced to start over AGAIN. Each visit required rearranging our schedules -- which meant missing work again-- The recent insult? This time we waited until 2PM on install day to get a call that the part wasn't even on the truck. No solution offered other than to reschedule to yet another appointment weeks out. At that point, even my husband -- the most patient person I know -- lost it. Only then did they magically "find" an earlier date. Still, the couch remains broken, and we're left exhausted from dealing with this circus of incompetence. Each time, 5 TIMES thus far, we have been told that we will not be given a time of arrival, only an estimated time the day before. Talk about screwing with our work schedules on far too many occasions! The quality of the product is atrocious. The accountability is nonexistent until they push you to your breaking point. The service is an absolute disgrace. Do Better!!!! Also, I kindly encourage everyone to AVOID this company like the plague. read more

Wanted to spend more for a quality chest rather than going to manufactured wood and assemble. This is my 2nd chest, both of these chest were defective the drawers would not open, bearings laying in the drawer, missing drawer slides/brackets. Original and replacement chest were defective and not useable. Going now on 2 weeks to try and resolve this issue, Customer service is in Philippines, you cannot talk to a person or store in the USA, either chatbot or Philippines those are the choices. Unbelievable. Steer clear of doing business with Ashley furniture poor quality and poor customer service, good luck on getting your money back. I told the velociraptor sales woman at the door that we were already working with the Ashley store in St. Louis and just needed to sit on a sofa I WAS considering for our condo there and didn't want to take her time. She clearly didn't listen and insisted on helping. Fine. I bought wall art though the store and it was damaged upon delivery on 7/18. I have been trying to be able to return this for now over 5 weeks. Every time I call customer service they transfer me 3 times and then act like someone will get back to me and no one ever does. This all over an $89 piece of wall art. Furniture quality is good, value is OK. The problems are delivery, replacement of defective items, and customer service. Slats needed for the mattress of a bed frame were not delivered. Truck driver would not move old bed frame to garage without an extra cash tip. One of two lamps was defective which we did not know until the next day. Two months later we still have no remedy. Saleswoman in Clearwater does not return calls or texts. Can't understand the Customer Care representatives, and no action by them in 3 or 4 contacts. I went to Ashley and Clearwater Memorial day and was looking at sectionals had a really nice girl helping me and was ready to purchase the Lindyn sectional four piece applied for the Ashley credit card got it ended up going to another furniture store and finding the identical sectional for $1000 cheaper so on my way home from work, I showed my sales girl the taxted from the other store and the pictures because I wanted her to get the sale, she went to her manager and he said he couldn't honor it even though they do price matching without seeing another picture and all the paperwork on it so they lost a sale and I saved $1000. read more

Walked out after my fiancé and I tried to get the attention of multiple salespeople who were not busy, just standing around chatting with one another, for over thirty minutes when we tried to buy a bedroom and dining room set. We're not sure if it's because we look younger than our late 20s/early 30s, but we both make a good income and were dressed nicely enough. meanwhile we watched multiple older people come up and be helped when they were looking around. only Molly initially greeted us when we came in and asked if we needed help but we couldn't find her after (maybe she went on break). needless to say I've never had such a difficult problem trying to SPEND money. read more

Purchased an $800 outdoor chair. After only a few months, the base of the chair broke while I was sitting, sending me to the ground. Now... after all that, Ashley hasn't been able to get me a replacement part so I can use my chair or replaced the chair so I can sit comfortably outside. Came in on Sunday, Labor Day weekend. Purchased king size bed set and Temper Pedic mattress. Took about 10 minutes for someone to finally acknowledge us, granted it was a holiday weekend. It was nice they had stuff in stock unlike Rooms to Go (most of the products we liked there would be available 5-6 months). Sales rep was nice and knowledgeable. Got the financing for no interest. However did not know we needed to put 15% down with my own payment (no big deal, but I am sure some would like to know that before ringing up). Never told us of the $400 delivery fee. It was nice they gave me a military discount. I found a random $200 furniture protection fee that I don't remember accepting. I mentioned to my sales rep that I see a chiro for lower back issues and she told me a note from them would remove the Temperpedic mattress purchase's sales tax. I was told to get that in to them before Friday. I made it in Thursday, however, when I went in store to do paperwork, they have to remove my mattress from the original order and reorder it to remove the taxes. So instead of the Friday delivery with my entire bed set, the Temper-Pedic mattress is set to arrive 3 days later. I wish I knew that from the sales rep. Friday the bed set came. Headboard was broken. So they told us we would be delivered the headboard first thing Saturday. The online delivery tracker said expect 10am - 2 pm window. I waited patiently and NO ONE came. No phone call to say we are behind. Do these people realize we have lives and things to do? So I call around 3 pm. Ashley Clearwater phone number and it sends you direct to a call center. Call center is terrible. Always on hold and there is always a "high call volume" everyday. A thought....Maybe hire more people. My sales rep gave me her cell on the purchase day. I texted her and she responded: "Sorry for the wait but we dont have access to delivery times or tracking from the store. That's all through the warehouse." I was unable to get a warehouse number. Call the call center several times and finally got someone. She called the warehouse manager (another 10 min hold) and said will be between 5pm-7pm. Luckily not interfering a bday party my daughter had to attend. I told her the warehouse needs to keep customers in the loop. This is a huge waste of my Saturday. I was able to take my daughter to the bday party and get home by 5 pm. 7 pm rolls around and still no delivery of my headboard or a phone call. For a $400 delivery fee, I had higher expectations. If they don't refund this fee, I will be pissed. This delivery services need better communication with their customers. And for as long as we are put on hold, they need to get rid of the looping call center advertisement. It gets old hearing "sorry for the delay" and "we will be right with you" when you have been holding for 30 minutes. read more

I don't even know where to start and this will probably be the longest review I've ever left but it's important potential customers are fully aware of the scams and problems with this company. I'd like to point out that I have previously used Ashley furniture in other states and have not had any issues but this location is abysmal. Both myself and my roommate said we had previously purchased with Ashley furniture so our information should be in the system but Lori said "no it's a different system you have to enter it again" so my roommate did. Come to find out she was actually entering her information in the system for an Ashley credit card. When we called to dispute this (once the credit card arrived) the woman on the phone acted dumb, claiming "this is how Ashley furniture works". Interesting as I have purchased furniture from them before and definitely did not have to sign up for a credit card to make my payments! This is a scam and I truly believe the women in that location are working together to get commissions off people who get store credit cards. Now for issue number two. The furniture was scheduled to arrive on two separate dates, almost a month apart. The first arrived with no issues at the time scheduled. We received a follow up email saying the second delivery would now be split into two deliveries on separate days. The delivery people called my roommate's cell and left her a voicemail saying they had "been waiting for 15 minutes and did not get any response having knocked on the door". This is interesting as the entire morning I was sitting on the couch waiting for them, with 3 dogs that bark at anything. On top of this we have a RING doorbell with a live camera and nobody knocked on the door that morning. This was a blatant lie, backed up by the camera on our door. To make matters worse, when I called the company to find out what was going on they said the delivery people had "waited at the place for 30 minutes and rang the doorbell". That's interesting because they told us in the voicemail (which we still have) that they knocked on the door and waited 15 minutes. Either way they are lying and we have the camera footage and voicemail to prove it. The way this company treats customers is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. There's literally no reason to run your business this way. There was no point in dealing with the in-store management because clearly this location has issues that need to be handled by people above them - a process we are now dealing with. read more

HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE in the Clearwater store! If I could've, I wouldn't have even given it a star at all! For those who can't understand, you will after reading this review. I purchased remotely (from 1200 miles away) and paid for the "deluxe" delivery guaranteeing that all hardware would be secured on the delivered pieces and the bed would be put together while someone else took in the delivery in our absence. When we arrived 2 weeks later (for a 10 day stay), we found the hardware not secured to our pieces and the bed was put together with 4 bolts rather than 8 so we had to move the mattress to the floor to sleep. This was Christmas Eve, no less. We did put on our own hardware but we did not take care of the bed due to the nuts and bolts needed. On 12/26, we entered the store, introduced ourselves, and even met the salesman who made a nice commission just by taking the order on the phone 2 months prior. We shared our delivery concern explaining that we took care of the hardware but we wanted service for the bed. In addition, I expressed interest in buying a few more pieces. My husband was left at the customer service desk as I "shopped" around. My husband was given a possible service date of 21 days out after he told the office worker we were only there for 10 days. That was the best they could offer. We walked out not agreeing to the service date offer, for obvious reasons, and we were never approached to purchase more pieces. A few days later, I called the Clearwater store. I spoke to a very polite and concerned worker who totally understood our frustration and agreed that this was not good customer service. She identified herself from the Pinellas Park store and was just filling in in Clearwater that day. She offered to put in a "claim" for this that would've refunded the $299 delivery fee to our account. She did say that it would take 2-3 billing cycles. I was more than pleased with this and felt it was fair. Fast forward to July 1st. I know...I did let it go too long but with the craziness of the pandemic and dealing with personal situations that's just how it was. I called to inquire about the status. Yup...a case/claim was NEVER filed. My thoughts, Clearwater staff came in the next day to a note from the person filling in from the Pinellas Park store and, you guessed it...trashed it. Anyway, this customer service rep was now going to open a case/claim for this. I gave her all of the detailed info including the name of the person filling in from the Pinellas Park store and the date I spoke with her so they could go back and look at their employee schedules to see that my information was accurate. Now, today, July 28th, I follow up. I get connected to the Clearwater store to be told that because of the amount of time that has gone by, there's nothing they can do about it. Eventhough they see the notes on my calls, they have no notes on the delivery issues. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do NOT purchase from the CLEARWATER location! If you are that in love with the furniture, find an Ashley Furniture somewhere else. Honestly, I don't think I will ever purchase from any Ashley store again. In fact, at the same time, I had ordered remotely and had other furniture delivered from another local furniture store. Upon our arrival at that same time found a hole in a chair that the other store had delivered. When I called them, no questions were asked other than confirming a delivery date for the replacement. When I asked if they wanted me to email them a picture of the damaged piece, they replied "No, we'll see it when we get there and remove it..." At that's exactly what they did. Mattress shopping can be tedious and expensive until you meet a store sales rep like Alexis Lopez at Ashley Home Furniture near Sunset point Road, Clearwater. She does everything right starting by being a good listener. She talks to you like she's your sibling watching as you try out selected mattresses. Alexis helps you select the pillow that will align your head properly. She not only has great product knowledge but she explains why certain features will benefit you so you get a good night's sleep. I visited all the area bedding stores and Alexis is the only one who went above and beyond to ensure the customer makes a purchase where you'll be satisfied for years to come. Delivery was a disaster! I paid for Premium delivery where the bed is delivered and set up. Drivers just dropped off the boxes and declined to set up. They said they had no notes or orders to set up. I finally, tediously cut through the boxes and plastic and set it up myself. I immediately called and could not connect so I drove to the store to ask what happened. I got no help from a manager. He kept stating no refunds. I returned later that week and received nearly $100 refund for failure to set up. There's a big disconnect between sales and distribution which diminishes the good feeling I had as a buyer. When I returned to ask for my refund there was a line at the counter with other disgruntled shoppers. Not a great impression. Lessons learned. I was very disappointed that the manager on duty didn't engage more and try to understand or resolve my delivery issue rather than ignoring it with a cavalier attitude. He was very defensive. So sad that a major corporation would take advantage of a retired couple who purchsed their first new living room set on 2/25/2023. We purchased an all white set for $1,800 including the 5 year warranty package. In November, 2023 we noticed and reported the recliner was turning blue over the entier sitting area. Called Ashley they said it was the resposiblity of the warranty company. They came out took pictures and prepared a report. We never heard back from them untill i called. They then said because it was within the first year it was the manufactures (Ashley) problem. It is now January 2024 and nobody will take responsiblity for this. Update on how awful Ashley store is. Do Not purchase furniture from them. Purchased furniture Oct 2023. I have been fighting with them for 3 1/2 months. Entertainment centerpiece showed up a month late and it was broken. They made me bring it to their store. They would NOT pick it up. They placed another order for for the broken piece and they used the wrong address. NO clue how the heck they did that after other furniture was delivered to the correct address. Had to wait AGAIN for the piece. When it shows up it's the WRONG color. I opened the other boxes and those pieces were broken. With all my frustration they told me I would get credited and I could keep the broken and mismatch pieces. I was lied to AGAIN. They are not crediting me for nothing. Don't bother trying to call their corporate office. They told me there was NOTHING they can do. They are making me pay for a broken item. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Another thing, the manager won't even talk to me. They make their employees deal with me. What kind of customer service is that?!?! I will tell you.........It's the worse I have ever experience and I am in my 50's.
