Went in just to look at dinette tables after not liking the quality of furniture at dinettes plus. Wanted real wood. Couple that own the store were so helpful as we have very limited space. He showed us a variety of tables and chairs that would fit in the area. You can get them made in various colors. I bought a set right then realizing it was exactly what we needed. Was ready for pick up in 10 days. I love it! Sturdy, and quality wood. Great customer service and great furniture. I will be back soon to get bedroom furniture. read more

We are thrilled with the TV wall unit designed by Jennifer Marchand and assembled by husband Nick at Barewood Furniture. We had purchased Barewood products in the past and knew what we were looking for. The outcome didn't come easy though. Due to no fault of their own, manufacturing and shipping delayed delivery past our original new home move in date. We were disappointed to say the least. No problem! Once the units were received in Clearwater, Nick and his group did the finishing, delivery and installation in "can do/ will do" manner. 09/30/20 Update - Nick called me the day after I posted the above. He agreed to deliver my cabinet today and I agreed to "fix" my post so, here we go. First, if a store owner/manager is willing to deliver a product on his own time and in his personal vehicle, that shows character and wanting to do the right thing to make a customer happy and the whole transaction right. That's why I bumped the "star rating" from 1 to 4. Kudos to you, Nick. 4 stars is for customer service. See ya tomorrow with the brushed nickel pull knob. Now, the cabinet itself. Has the finish I want and looks great. It was stained inside and out as requested. Well built with one exception. It wobbles. I'm working on finding adjustable leveling feet to correct. That, currently, is my only disappointment. Would I buy from Barewood again? I'd make it a stop in my travels to see if they have what would fit my needs. read more

I ordered a dining set in January, finally received it at the end of JUNE. It is the wrong color (its black/espresso-not what I picked), which I told them immediately. The store blew me off and told me it was a variation in the stain and there was nothing they could do, after talking with them multiple times. I went to the store today to show them what I had discovered at Christmas, which is the back of the insert. It is closer to the correct color I chose. They refused to stand by their mistake, only offering to paint the bottom white, and lighten the top. I do not want a two tone table, I want the color I chose! Obviously the stain person made a mistake, tried to cover it with multiple coats, hence the dark espresso color. And the lady in the store said they let the stain person go!! Now I am stuck with a black table in my beach themed house, a major eyesore. Very disappointed. I do NOT recommend this business. Go to Hudson's, you will be better off. read more

I was in dire need of furniture for my new home. I wanted something that would fit into my new space and didn't fall apart if I decided to rearrange. Which I have done several times now trying to find the layout I wanted. I started with a coffee table and side tables for the living room and quickly found that I had ordered my entire house from here within the year. I loved that I could match all my pieces together even though I didn't buy them all together. Only complaint I have so far is that I'd kick myself if I ever downsized because I'd have to get rid of some really nice pieces. read more

The options seem endless, but owners Nick and Jennifer are truly knowledgeable about their products. It is easy to find what we want with their recommendations. We have purchased several pieces both finished and unfinished. We always receive a quality product at a reasonable price. This summer we ordered a custom-made bedroom dresser. Unfortunately, there were several delays COVID 19 related. Nick and Jennifer were wonderful in keeping us updated and in compensation for our inconvenience they graciously delivered our completed dresser. We went here on the chance they would have some unfinished bookcases we needed. They had the cases and much more! We found a desk and a beautiful entertainment center. Their price for the entertainment unit, including painting, was HALF what we were quoted by custom builders and about the same as ones we saw in furniture stores that were made of compressed wood. Ours is solid mahogany And the pieces sized to order. I would absolutely recommend them without hesitation. read more

They have a lot of well-constructed furniture - solid wood rather than wood shavings mixed with glue and then covered with a thin layer of laminate. The store was pretty much devoid of any junk furniture. Overall, higher quality furniture at a moderate price. My only beef is the delivery service. They contract this out, which results in the delivery people referring you to the store, and the store referring you to the delivery people. The delivery contractor blew off the first two scheduled deliveries, and then got around to us on the 3rd promise. If you take your own furniture home, I would say 4-5 stars. read more

I happened upon this store last year and was interested in a table with 2 chairs. When I went back a month later to purchase, new owners had taken over. I went ahead and ordered the items. They had limited fabric samples and nothing bright and tropical as I had envisioned for the chair pads. They helped me select something more to my liking online, and that's what we ordered. Unfortunately, when they came in, they were less 'melon and pink' and more orange. When I realized I could not live with that (after about 6 months) I asked for help to recover. They gave me instructions on how to find fabric elsewhere that suited my purposes better and how to measure the amount needed. I purchased the fabric and brought the chairs in for recovering. We went on COVID lockdown, so I just picked them up (3 months later). They look amazing! And they did not even charge me for the recovering...saying they just want to make it right. Also they said they have improved their selections of finishes and fabrics greatly since last year. Love dealing with a store like this! read more
