On my first trip to Maui, I was excited to try as many local food spots as possible, and Da Soriano…read moreGrindz ended up being one of the highlights of the entire trip. I was immediately intrigued by the calamansi pork -- an item I had never seen it on a menu before. One bite and I was hooked. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the bright, citrusy calamansi added a unique tang that made the dish completely unforgettable. It was so good that I'm still thinking about it after coming home. We also tried the pancit noodles, pork sisig, and mochiko chicken, and every dish was excellent. The pancit was packed with flavor, the sisig was gelatinous (fir those who are into it), and the mochiko chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. For my first visit to Maui and my first time trying Da Soriano Grindz, this food truck set the bar incredibly high. If you're visiting Maui and want amazing Filipino food that's a little different from what you'll find elsewhere, don't skip this spot. The calamansi pork alone is worth the trip.

Great food truck!…read more Photos of the shrimp plate caught my attention so I had to stop by for that. The woman working was friendly and chatted for a bit. It's on the side of the road near some apartments so there isn't really a place to sit and eat, but it's right by the beach so you can take it to go there. The shrimp was bomb but when I got back to eat, the sauce wasn't in there, which would've made it so much better. Definitely worth stopping by.

We grabbed two personal-sized thin crust pizzas for $35 total, which honestly felt like a steal for Maui. The crust was that perfect balance: crispy, light, not floppy, not cardboard. Just solid, legit thin crust that actually tastes like pizza and not regret. What made it even better? The cook was doing everything, making the pizzas, running the register, talking with customers, and still somehow keeping it smooth and friendly. Super personable, super efficient, no chaos energy. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. Some of the best thin crust pizza I've had in a long time. Zero hesitation. I'd absolutely go back

This year, we came during the day right after landing. I called in my orders so I knew they are open. Upon arriving at the address, we didn't spot the truck immediately. Luckily my son and husband had the sense to checkout the area and they found it nestled in the back corner of a building, fully shaded. Anyways, the crispy pork is as good as we remembered. The skewers as well. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about their lumpia's. The banana lumpia's are now covered in caramel sauce vs naked.
