This is fresh food done right. The burgers can be customized and are available in a variety of combinations. I had mine wrapped in lettuce and kale with a fried egg and the lunch combo came with fries and an onion ring. The service is great and ambiance is diner style and cozy

Standard Burger and French Fries

This was my first time trying Bareburger and I was impressed. The food was well prepared and tasted good. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. She provided excellent service. The restaurant was quiet for a Tuesday afternoon. I ordered the Standard Burger with French Fries for my entree. The burger tasted good and I enjoyed the fries with ketchup. I would definitely return to try other burger options on the menu.

One of the best burgers I have had. Great value and excellent flavor. Our server, Genesis, made some great suggestions and was very helpful. I went with the with the Wagyu special and it did not disappoint. Very large, juicy and flavorful. Will def be back.

Pickle Chips w/ ranch dressing $10.95

I've only been to a Bareburger once before and this was my first time at this location. It's a fairly small restaurant but they did an excellent job accommodating all guests. I was shocked at how busy they were. They were continually turning over the tables for the hour and half we were there. They even brought outdoor tables inside (it was way too cold to sit outside)! The staff was great. Super friendly! (Alyssa was one employee who helped us, her name was on check). They have a pretty sizable menu, not just burgers. They've added smash burgers to likely keep up with that trend. They have cheesesteaks, which my friend got, and sandwiches. I got the National burger as a combo with sweet potato fries $20.90 and we got pickle chips $10.95. Pickle chips had a nice breading to them and went well with their ranch dressing. I enjoyed the burger; there was a decent amount of crispy bacon on it. When it came to paying the check we scanned the QR code at the table to pay. There was $1 charge for doing this so I essentially had to pay to pay my bill. I can see myself ordering from here again when I'm in the mood for a burger.

Came in for take out. They told me 10 minutes. I think I waited 20 but they were busy so not too bad. And also the people were so nice! I had the standard Wagyu. I should have ordered medium instead of medium rare because when I got home the burger was too rare. I had to put it in the oven. Burger tasted good though. I thought it was pricy though. The onion rings were crisp and had a nice seasoning.

20% off if you're an active or retired service worker.

The best burgers in the city. Hands down! Super super juicy patties and very flavorful. Thick crispy onion rings and my daughter said the best sweet potato fries she's had. I agree. To top it off, they have grass-fed beef burgers. You can't do better than that! I ate at a Bare Burger years ago and I have to say today it is so much better. 5 stars all the way!!!

Great burgers., great service and wonderful atmosphere. Loved our keto buns and double burgers with bacon. Sweet potato fries were good too. I am so full. Really enjoyed it!

Sandwich was just poor quality, tasted worse than it looked- chicken texture felt like it had been reheated

My coworker and I were in the area and in need of a quick but satisfying lunch. I had dined at the hell's kitchen location previously, so I suggested we give their broadway location a try. After waiting more than 35 minutes for our beverages, I was wishing I had let my coworker talk me into eating at mcdonalds. After the long wait for our drinks, our food arrived not long after. My Sandwich the chicky club (Grilled all-natural chicken, smoked bacon, avocado, organic green leaf, organic tomatoes, mayo, sourdough) was just poor quality, tasted worse than it looked- chicken texture felt like it had been reheated the bread was toasted but cold.. My coworker ordered one of their salads and added chicken. She said her chicken was super hot and fresh- but the salad itself was wilty and left something to be desired.

Sometimes poke can taste fishy or just not fresh, but all the ingredients in my bowl were incredibly fresh. I believe it was the owner working when I grabbed take out and she was so kind and helpful. I will definitely be supporting this local business with more take out orders- super impressed with the food!

I was craving poke yesterday and found that this "Food for Life" does poke! After a rather…read moredisappointing recent experience at a poke shop in Fort Lee, I decided to give them a try and I was happy that I did! First, the name - I was wondering if this was a chain since I know one in Fort Lee, and a new one sprang up on 9W/Sylvan Ave. in Englewood Cliffs... and the lady told me they're all independently owned under same "theme/name." Ok, now that we got that out of the way... (asked nobody ever but still) THEY ARE BACK after closing for a month due to Coronavirus, now for a week. The owner lady told me people still think they're closed, so I wanna get the word out there to come SUPPORT your local business! PLACE - Bright and meticulously clean with well laid out menu items. Poke isn't on their circulated menu so took a picture with updated pricing. FOOD - I ordered Tuna poke and Spicy Salmon poke ($14 ea.) and I was not disappointed. There was a sushi chef on premise working with chunks of sashimi fish preparing orders. When I got home to eat, I noticed the fish was really fresh, with sensible usual poke toppings, and I love the fact that they actually use fresh chunks of salmon for their "Spicy Salmon" unlike many joints that cut corner by using the mashed up stuff with less fresh fish and fillers. They also veered towards light in terms of sriracha mayo and shoyu which preserved the taste just right, and I poured a bit of ponzu to suit my own taste. Portion was generous and came with a bowl of hot miso soup which was just perfect. Only minor feedback would be that rice was a bit blocky-cooler than I'd have liked so took wee bit more effort to eat together with the toppings... but not a big deal. With recent rise in delivery apps you might be tempted to (not even sure if they participate), but you know how they kill the restaurant's margin... So get off your butt and just go pick it up yourself... you need fresh air / groceries anyway right? :) Thank you for a delicious dinner and we'll be back.

The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

We had high expectations but when the salad and the half of a deviled egg arrived I was honestly surprised. The presentation felt cheap and the portion was super small. The salad barely had any dressing. The main dish I got was lobster - good flavor but overcooked and rubbery. Tiny portion that left me wanting more food. Hubby had the steak, they did not give option how you would like it and it arrived medium/well done. The portions were so tiny I was still hungry, for the price I honestly wish we went to omakase instead. Oh. And they automatically add 25% service. Owner is very friendly and service was polite but for the price it felt like we got robbed. Not sure we'll be back, really wanted to like it but the only memorable thing was the music and ambience. I felt compelled to review because I really wanted the owners to see this and make changes. The potential is there but with many restaurants around, there simply wasn't anything special. Pls be transparent to your guests and include info about prix fixe menu on reservation next time, and perhaps give your guests more value for the money. $150 should at least be 4-5 course for the size that was provided.. The waiter suggested lamb, but I went with the salmon and it was the best decision. The citrus sauce on top was divine! Wish it came with rice instead of just veggies (though the veggies were tasty). The Service: The staff was friendly and service was good, but a heavy language barrier made it hard to understand the waiter, so he wasn't very helpful with menu questions. Service has always been friendly and attentive, no complaints there! I tried the Dubai chocolate, which was really good, but the shakes (cookies & cream and s'mores) weren't my favorite. I had the cookies and cream shake twice and the smores once. My gf's sister had the chocolate shake. They all tasted more like ice cream with toppings, and the s'mores shake oddly had a strawberry flavor to it--maybe a machine mix-up. Luckily, my girlfriend likes strawberry, so it worked out! We all tasted the strawberry and thought it was strange. My gf's sister agreed the chocolate shake just tasted like ice cream blended with milk. The shakes could be better. I am a big burger and shake fan so that's a little disappointing. Overall, this place is great and definitely worth coming back to.
