Overall, my experience at Bare Necessity was great, can't say anything bad about Karley, she was super sweet and took care of me really quick. However, I was a little disappointed with the results of my brow wax & tint; it was my first time getting either and I really didn't know what to expect. When I left the salon, after about 30 minutes, I liked the shape of my eyebrows, however the tinting I was not a fan of. What I came to find out is that the tint is a vegetable dye that is used more to enhance ones natural brow, rather than add to it, it also only lasts 2-3 days. This is pretty disappointing given the fact that the service is so expensive. Another thing about the tint is that it wasn't really shaped on my brows, my edges weren't made sharp, the tint was kind of just slathered on, and when it dried it was more on my skin rather than on my brows. I understand that this is a salon so obviously you pay more for services, your aesthetician, and their experience. However several days later I read about doing my own eyebrows with men's beard dye. I was a little hesitant at first, yet it was only $8 so I decided to try it out; lo and behold the dye really darkened my brows and gave me so much more volume and shape, it also lasts for 1-2 weeks. Overall, I would still recommend Bare Necessity to friends, however I would definitely warn them what to expect. read more

I've been coming here for awhile now and it used to be great! Ever since they switched waxes over the summer, it's left a lot to be desired. The new wax is NOT good for Brazilians and fails to remove hair in the same exact spots on a lot of women. If this isn't remedied, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If the new wax works better for some body parts, great! Use it for that and get the old wax back for the other areas and use both. Why should I pay for a service that is sub-par when there's many other waxing businesses? read more

I was taken back to a room with Korina, who did a great job and exactly what I asked. It was my first time getting my eyebrows done (I'm 14) and she did exactly what I wanted based off the photos I showed and what I told her. She left my eyebrows full, but had shape and were trimmed. All of the staff I have encountered thus far (two waxing visits) are very friendly and helpful. Elaine is my aesthetician and she is wonderful. If you book your next appointment ahead of time, they discount the cost for that next visit. I find the pricing very reasonable. Cannot wait to go in for a facial someday soon. Also - they use that crazy wax that hardens and then peels off (instead of using strips to peel the wax off). I find this type of wax less painful. read more

Ambience - Located in downtown Gilbert, this place is completely adorable on the outside and has a spa-like feel on the inside. Perfect environment for hair removal. Service - From the service at the front desk to the service completed by the estheticians, I'm happy when I leave. They are always friendly and professional, and they are on top of things. As someone who was terrified to get waxed after a horrific experience a few years back, I can honestly say now I actually look forward to my appointment every 4 weeks or so. Not only is the atmosphere of this salon ridiculously cute, homey, and relaxing, the staff is always so welcoming and pleasant. I have to give MAJOR props to Elaine, she is so freaking adorable and sweet I can hardly stand it sometimes! Let's be honest, having molten wax put on and then ripped off our lady bits is no walk in the park, but the charm that this place and Elaine have (at least on myself) has me coming back and asking for more! Came in for a lip wax and rejuvenating facial. Simply amazing. The wax wasn't as painful as usual - she did a great job of calming immediately after the wax pull. The facial was meticulous, calming and my face looks so healthy. The only suggestion is the room temp. Was a bit cold. I will definitely make another appointment when back in town. read more
