Landed in Tampa around dinner time and the fam wanted something healthy and delicious. Bare Naked Kitchen sounded like it fit the bill, so we headed there right away. We were greeted upon entering. The staff was very friendly and patient as we asked lots of questions while we made our decisions. We ordered the following: Roll in a bowl $16.5 Salmon I used to know $18.5 BYO plate with steak $18+ We were going to take them to go, but decided to dine in. The dining room is spacious, welcoming, and offers plenty of seating. I opted for the salmon I used to know, which was one of the staff's recommendations. It features miso salmon, ginger sauce, radish, scallions, Chinese noodles, chef's seasonal vegetable, mixed greens, and oregano vinaigrette. It was a great recommendation! Tasty, light, yet filling. My family also really liked their items. Our teenage son has a big appetite and enjoyed his BYO plate so much that he ordered another one to-go. They also offer free soft serve ice cream and the flavor at the time of our visit was caramel crush. It was delicious! I was tempted to get a second one on the way out. Love this place, from the salads to the cauliflower crust pizza to the grab n go section...everything is fresh and delicious. Friendly and professional service on the phone or in person, great parking, clean restroom. Great place to play mah Jong...all around a great addition to Henderson Blvd. Occasionally it can be tough to get parking, but just be patient and maybe park in the lot for the Dollar Tree! This is my favorite spot in Tampa for a quick, fresh meal! I've tried so many things on their menu and have never had any complaints! On my recent trip, I tried the Roll in a Bowl and loved how fresh and flavorful the tuna was. The toppings were the perfect choice to compliment the tuna flavor. The only thing I personally don't love is bok choy, so I'll sub that out next time. My boyfriend got The Butcher cauli crust and it tasted phenomenal! The cauli crust could easily fool me because it tastes like a normal thin crust pizza! On other occasions, I have had the Tampa Hot bowl and Porkfection that are also two my favorites. The food here is fresh and lots of healthy options the problem is the seed oil. As long as people come here, knowing that it's not exactly a comparison to true food kitchen then you're good. That way it's not misleading for folks who are actually trying to avoid seated oils since true food kitchen doesn't use seed oils. it's only avocado oil in their cooking. The atmosphere is open and pleasant lots of greenery, neutral tones. Comfy seating etc. they do have alcoholic drinks so you're good. Pretty awesome spot just keep in mind they cook in canola oil or soy and sesame oils. Staff is very accommodating super knowledgeable to explain ingredients when asked. I tried BNK with my friend and had an amazing time and meal. Loved how fresh the food was and the casual environment. The free ice cream at the end was an added bonus and a perfect ending to the meal. I had the Freekish salad which had a small medium rare steak on tons of veggies. I tried a bite of my friend's Porkfection and it was really flavorful. I would likely try the a Mexican or Thai flavored dish next time. The ordering was easy and the menu just big enough. My friend and I were very excited about dining at this place but our visit was less than stellar. The place is gorgeously lit and i love all of the little details. Service is also top notch, the staff were sweet and courteous. There were a lot of flaws in the food we ordered. For starters, the cauliflower pizza (Potato & Truffle) crust was very chewy. We weren't sure what made it taste that way. For entrees, we both tried the Chef plates, i had Firebird. The chicken was good but sides were loaded with sweetness and sweet potato was undercooked. Noodles & kale slaw were too sweet for my liking, i couldn't eat it. My friend opted for Miso salmon chef plate. Her salmon was overcooked and burnt on the bottom. Great ambiance and sense of choice. Unfortunately, there is way too much sugar in this food. I ordered the Korean pork, and it has no taste of Korean barbecue pork whatsoever. I had to douse do it in Sriracha to make it edible. They need to really think about reducing the sugar in their food and adding more actual spices. The ingredients are great. Lots of vegetable vegetables, fruit, and delicious free ice cream for dessert. I wish I could've given this place 3 1/2 stars, but it has a lot of good things about it. If they tweaked the recipes to make them more tasty with actual spices, herbs, things like fresh ginger, and so on, this place could really be fantastic. read more

It came with a giant scoop of rice, which made me a little concerned however it was so light and I was able to finish the whole bowl. They even provided free ice cream. The flavor of the day was more it was made from oat milk. I did not think it tasted like s'mores... But it was great vanilla ice cream! Service 5/5: service was quick! I got my food within 10 minutes. And the person taking my order was so kind and quickly gave us recommendations. Ambiance 5/5: very casual sit down place. I got the Freekish salad which has petite tender steak, romaine, grilled eggplant, baby heirloom tomatoes, golden jewel blend, feta cheese, pickled onions, scallions, cucumbers, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, red wine oregano vinaigrette. It was good, but next time I think I should just make my own bowl. The steak was delicious, I will definitely keep that. In fact, an early red flag for me in a relationship is if I were to take a potential partner to a place like this and they didn't know what they wanted. How do you NOT KNOW what meat you like? If you like brocolli or not? What sauce you want?! How we gonna start a familly if you you're not sure what 3 veggies you 'gon pick?! Anyway, the ingredients here are super-fresh. If you are one of those indecisive folk, they have a selection of pre-programmed bowls you can choose from. For drinks, they have about 8 wonderfully creative cocktails on tap! I've been eyeing this restaurant for some time, as my yogi friends who do classes at the studio next door have talked so highly about it for months. I finally got the opportunity to check it out this weekend when a friend and I wanted to catch up and just needed an easygoing place with healthy dishes. Bare Naked Kitchen definitely delivered! When you walk in, there is a cute little seating area with a couple of swing chairs, and then you are welcomed right away at the counter where you order your food. The restaurant is bright, open and airy, and the light colors and beautiful decor make you feel so relaxed and at ease. The employee at the counter did the same, patiently waiting for us to make our selections, providing great feedback, and smiling all the while. I ordered the Beet Salad and my friend opted for the Tomato Bisque, and since we were both eyeing the seasonal special of a Honey and Brie Flatbread, we ordered one of those to split. I'm so glad we did, because that flatbread was heavenly! I didn't think I was hungry enough to try both that and eat my whole salad, but I was sure wrong! Their Beet Salad was generously piled with golden beets, crisp greens, creamy goat cheese, watermelon radish, walnuts, and the vinaigrette was perfect in both flavor and quantity. I devoured the whole dish! The employees were so pleasant throughout our visit, and even the kitchen team who brought us our food came back by later to ask how everything tasted. Everyone was so kind and made us feel extraordinarily comfortable. In typical Florida fashion, there was a summer storm outside while we dined, so we stuck around a while after eating and just continued to chat and catch up while the rain died down. And to our surprise, Bare Naked Kitchen provides diners with a free dairy free ice cream after their meal, accessible as self-serve from a soft serve machine. The flavor they were offering was salted caramel made with oat milk, and they supplied small wafer cones, too. We really enjoyed our little cones - that salted caramel was packed with flavor - and it was the perfect complement to a wonderful dinner.
