Love this place! My husband and I randomly stopped by for brunch for the first time & loved it so much that I've been ordering it on Uber Eats ever since. For brunch, I had the San Jose Bowl with a side of French toast, and it was hands down some of the best French toast I've ever had! For lunch, I've tried the Lean N Clean and the So Cal, plus their cookies, and everything has been consistently delicious. Service was also great & the person who sat us was friendly when we came for brunch! read more

From my first visit (an accidental find), I was treated like royalty. I walked into this charming little establishment having no clue what to expect. The mural, Cali Real Food Only, intrigued me and I could not resist investigating. I was greeted by the manager who sat me at the perfect table, as I was dining alone. He paired me with Ed (short for Edmarie) who asked about my likes, dislikes, and possible allergies. She made suggestions which were spot on. When I ordered multiple items which were way more than I could eat in one sitting, she said, "You are here for the experience. I have boxes." My next visit she remembered my order and asked if I wanted it again or if I wanted to try something new. Each meal is a taste adventure. I have been multiple times, both alone and introducing friends to this South Tampa gem. Everyone has loved it. No matter the server, or the manager on duty, I have been treated like a special guest. I recommend Cali to anyone looking for good food, tasty mimosas or sangria, and the best servers in the city! read more

Five stars all around. I don't know how they get the steak to be so tender, but they do. My younger son ate all the steak in his kids bowl. I got a base of sticky rice for him, which he ate a little. It might be worth me trying another base for him next time. I got the egg bowl with steak and a base of potato, it was so filling and so good. I had it for both lunch and dinner. My older son got a starter of herbed fries (which seems hand cut) and their version of a cheese pizza (they only have one size, which is medium. He ended up eating half of it.) I was a little concerned since it is a sourdough crust but it didn't taste strongly of sourdough and he really liked it. My husband always gets the same order, which is a steak kids bowl with greens. We also got chips and salsa to start. The chips are so thin and delicious. I could drink the red salsa, it isn't spicy at all. I would gladly come here anytime. They have a parking lot and were only moderately full on a Saturday at 1 pm. It's pretty casual inside, some people were dressed cute in dresses whereas others were in workout clothes. Neither looks out of place. Service was super friendly and we were constantly checked on so we never needed things for long. I highly recommend coming here. read more

Ordered takeout with the hot & crunchy with tuna. I think the portion of tuna was a bit small for the price, but the whole thing was very tasty. I would consider ordering it again! read more

Always a great visit to Cali. They have a broad menu and very healthy made with love items. I enjoy their flatbreads, sourdough cookies, and the newest item- banana bread starter. I really enjoyed this place before this huge menu overhaul. Now I'm sad they no longer offer Taco Tuesday deals or the Asian Salad that was my favorite. I visited over the weekend and got a bowl and while I think it was good I just don't think it was worth $20 after tip. The bowl I got was the spicy Brazilian with blackened chicken and avocado rice. While I do enjoy the interior remodel I wish they would have left the menu alone as it was fine as it was. Overpriced bowls at a fast casual place just don't do it for me. Also I asked if I can do half rice and half greens for my base and server advised I would just have to pay extra for an extra base - the bowl is expensive enough as is so I'm not gonna pay $1.50 for some mixed greens. Just a shame because like I mentioned this place used to be one of my favorite places and now it's just ok. read more

Came here for Saturday brunch after we run a 5K. It a beautiful modern place. It's kind of in between a quick bite and seat down restaurant. I visited their other locations but this was a first time I came to South Tampa. They had a nice brunch menu, very large portions and affordable. Service was friendly and attentive. We had guacamole and salsa to start and enjoyed it a lot. Tortilla chips were fresh. My husband had a burrito which was delicious and large. He only was able to eat half. I had a bowl with potatoes and eggs. It was very tasty. Definitely enjoyed it. read more

After trying the St Pete location and seeing there is one close to me in Tampa, we decided to stop in for lunch. The inside is very beautiful, it has a humble upscale vibe especially for this to be a more casual spot. I ordered the spicy Brazilian bowl and my boyfriend ordered one of the breakfast bowls that was on the specials. Both were delicious!! I loved the flavors of my bowl and the crispy jalapeños elevated the entire bowl! Our server was nice and friendly. No complaints about this place and will definitely have it as a part of our restaurant rotation. read more

Once upon a time there existed a salad so perfect, so electric, so utterly divine, that it redefined what a salad could be. I'm talking about Cali's Asian Salad with seared ahi tuna and Thai vinaigrette. A true masterpiece of flavor, crunch, and soul-soothing freshness. This textural symphony of crisp veggies, vibrant herbs, the perfect sear of tuna and tangy vinaigrette made every bite unforgettable. It was everything a salad should be. So imagine the betrayal I felt walking into the South Tampa location only to discover my beloved salad had been unceremoniously removed from the menu. Gone, as if it meant nothing. And yet, like some cruel joke, the St. Pete location still honors this glorious dish. Riddle me this Cali: Why is this culinary gem being gatekept on only one side of the Bay? Are Tampa taste buds not worthy of flavor? Are we not loyal? Are we undeserving? I've got a broken heart and flavorless void where the perfect salad used to be. To management: IM BEGGING, bring back the Asian Salad to South Tampa. Do it for your loyal regulars. Do it for flavor. Do it for justice. And do it for the 5 stars. Until then, I'll be reluctantly battling the 275 traffic, not without holding a grudge. read more

I went to Cali for lunch recently. Here's what I thought: Ambiance: Cali is simply and nicely decorated on the inside. The inside space feels very clean and welcoming. I didn't look at their outdoor seating, but it looked like they had a nice outdoor seating area. Restrooms: The restrooms were nice and clean. They had two single use bathrooms. Service: Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. She gave good recommendations on what to eat. Our food came out quick. Food: They have tons of healthy options on the menu. I also thought their prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. If you love healthy food options - come here! I tried their 'Spicy Rio Burrito', it was a burrito filled with turmeric rice, black beans, roasted corn, cheddar cheese, guacamole, cilantro, sambal, tomatillo salsa, and lime Caesar. It was delicious! I asked for the salsa on the side and it was the perfect amount of heat. It came with a side which I felt the wrap didn't need. I ordered their roasted broccoli as my side and I couldn't eat it all because I was so full from the burrito. My fiancé had their 'Sooo.... buff' bowl and loved it. We will definitely come back for a yummy, quick and healthy food option! read more

Stopped in with a buddy before his flight and were pleasantly surprised. Our first spot we struck out so stopped in here on a whim and glad we did. We began with the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was average, run-of-the-mill guacamole and not to write home about. The chips, however, were incredible. They were seasoned with a tajin or some sort of spice that enhanced the profile. For our mains, my friend go the So Buff bowl. He seemed to really enjoy it. I ordered the Spicy Brazilian Bowl. This bowl was delicious with the turmeric rice and blackened chicken. It was very heavy and I was not able to finish it all. Definitely come here hungry because the bowls are deceptively filling. The service was great and the ambiance was simple but bright with large windows letting in the natural light. I would come back as the value is on par with a chipotle bowl in price but much better quality. read more

Cali in Tampa absolutely delivered I came in already excited, but the food and drinks somehow still exceeded expectations. I started with the hummus and pita, and wow--so creamy, smooth, and flavorful. The pita was warm, soft, and perfect for scooping up every last bit. It's one of those simple dishes that's done really well, which always sets the tone for the rest of the meal. Next up was the hot honey pizza, and this is where Cali really won me over. The balance of sweet heat was spot on--the honey added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the savory flavors, and the spice had a nice kick that kept you going back for another bite. The crust was perfectly cooked, not too thick or thin, with great texture and flavor. Honestly, it's one of those pizzas you think about after you leave. To drink, I had the lavender lemonade, and it was so refreshing and unique. Light, floral, not overly sweet, and super smooth--it paired surprisingly well with the pizza and felt like the perfect elevated twist on a classic lemonade. The vibe of the place was just as good as the food--stylish, relaxed, and inviting. Everything felt thoughtfully curated, from the menu to the atmosphere. This is the kind of spot you'd bring friends from out of town to show off Tampa's food scene or come back to again just because you're craving that pizza. Safe to say I'll be back soon. For starters, I'd like to commend our server on 11-9-24, Steven. He made a point to inquire if we had any food allergies, while taking our order, as we were dining in. I have food, allergies, and really appreciate somebody going above and beyond to ask to ensure for my safety. Wholly, Cali always produces a delicious, well made meal. We favor the bowls quite a bit. Well, this has been on my bucket list for some time, but the closing of EVOS forced my hand to try it even sooner since EVOS was my normal spot (RIP), but I'm so happy to have found a NEW SPOT that will be my new regular! Enter Cali, a healthy, but definitely indulgent restaurant that offers up wraps, salads, bowls, and (GASP) PIZZA!!! The first thing I zoned in on was the California Club wrap, which I paired with salad greens, and man, did I make a great choice. The wrap had a combination of tender blackened chicken, bacon, and avocado, and already right there, you know you can't go wrong. The flavors really sang as a bit into it, and even more so with their lime caesar. The lime gives the caesar and interesting and different kick. Half I used on the salad itself while the other half was on the salad greens. The service really nailed this one out of the park. They were very friendly, checked on me often from outside and made sure Muffin and I had enough water to get through the hot day. We were sitting out on the patio that had plenty of shade and fans blowing, but the sun was THAT HOT. They heard it was my first time, and one of the workers, approached (the chef, maybe?) to confirm that it was and asked me how I loved the food and to give me a Welcome cookie (s'mores!). Of course, I really did. I'll be back to be sure, probably getting the same thing, or probably going for some of their delicious pizza or maybe a bowl, I don't know. Either way, I'll be back, and I'll be looking forward to said cookie with coffee! Probably buy the regular chocolate chip while I'm at it. read more

I went to Tampa for a day trip and I stopped into Cali for lunch. I went pretty early a little after 11 on a Monday so it wasn't busy at all. The hostess seated us and we were greeted by our server. The tables and silverware looked clean. The menu was easy to follow- there are bowls in different styles and you can choose your base and protein. I went with the Brazilian style with turmeric rice and steak. It came out within 15 minutes or so and it was perfect. The perfect portion, balance of toppings, and the steak was cooked medium rare- just how I like it. It was delicious and I felt relatively healthy afterwards - the food tastes fresh and it was made to order too. The chef came over to check on us, saying he heard it was our first time there. He gave us a complimentary cookie each, which was so nice and surprising! They were still warm and gooey melted chocolate. It started getting busy towards the end of our meal, there was a line of people and was a wait while we walked out. Great lunch spot, highly recommend! read more

Once I entered Cali, it was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a fast casual spot, kinda like Chipotle and Cava. I was not expecting a sit down restaurant. Nonetheless, we heard great things so we sat down and I ordered the Spicy Brazilian Bowl with steak and coconut rice. It was delicious, the steak was really well cooked, the coconut rice was a great addition. Although, I didn't get as much spice as I would have hoped, it was overall a great meal.
