I was excited to try this place given all the high reviews and I must say, I was extremely letdown. I want to give them the benefit of doubt and say they just had a rough day, but the entire sandwich i had just was so bad, and the ingredients tasted bad/old that I'm going to find it hard to return unfortunately. I'll start with the good, the service was great and chef took his time to visit every table in the savory empanadas were delicious. The alright: Tropical hash - did not look like the pictures and the corned beef tasted like hot dog to me while the smashed plantains were hard and tasted like they were made days before. The seasoning was good and I did enjoy the eggs, onions, and peppers. Guava and cheese empanada - good flavor but extremely thin. The bad: The veggie sandwich - there is nothing good. I can say about this except maybe just the egg. The beans were hard, the avocado was hard and not ripe, plantains were hard and not sweet, the bread tasted stale, and the sandwich was lukewarm at best. The entire thing tasted like it was made yesterday and then served today. I really tried liking it, even taking it apart to see if any component of it was good and that's where I found the only thing I could eat was the egg. My expectations were shattered. The pictures of the food online do not match what you get so that's another thing I was let down by. I'm hoping it was just a one time fluke but I know I am very hesitant on trying them again, even though every video I have seen of the veggie sandwich has look med great.

Started my birthday off with Breakfast at Eleven80 Cafe. This was my first time here, and it won't be my last. The service really good and the food was delicious. I ordered the Back 2 Basics breakfast that included 2 eggs, protein, and side. My fiancé ordered pancakes, waffles, and potatoes. He really enjoyed his meal as well. It was a very clean space, and I loved all the plants hanging around the space. I highly recommend Eleven80 Cafe. I'm even thinking about coming back for lunch :)

Ham, Onion, Pepper & Cheese Omelette with side of Bacon

Recently stopped by and checked out Eleven80 Cafe for breakfast. They are a newer coffee shop and cafe in South Tampa serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Of all the times to find a place with amazing empanadas and sandwiches, it had to be while I'm on keto. I resisted the temptation and ordered a ham, pepper, onion, and cheese omelette with a side of bacon and a cold brew instead. It was one of the tastiest omelettes I've had in a while, made with fresh, quality ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. I'll definitely be back to try the empanadas and sandwiches when carbs are back on the menu.

Finally had a chance to check out Eleven80 and it did not disappoint! The owners are so kind and friendly and checked on our table during our visit to chat and make sure everything was great. The iced horchata, egg and chorizo empanadas, and tostones were all delicious and I will be back for the cafe con leche and tropical Puerto Rican hash. This is such a unique and wonderful addition to South Tampa!

My son asked if we can go back to Eleven80 Cafe and I couldn't put up much of a fight. The food is too good to turn down. Service = great Hospitality = great Food = phenomenal Drinks = delicious The catfish sandwich is still a fav. Yet, we also tried the fried chicken sandwich. Tasty!!! Both were very filling but we topped it off with the churros. Nice touch.

The best empanadas you'll ever have! Comes out piping hot & doesn't crackle into a million pieces like the other places so you know it's super fresh here and they make them to order only. The empanada was not greasy at all but not super flaky it stayed intact after each bite. It was piping hot so I let it cool down a bit before eating it. The empanada that I ordered came with the sauce that almost tasted like Cane's sauce but had a bit more of a bold spice flavor. It was fantastic. I was greeted by the manager Nelson when I was in line. The screen monitor with their food menu item kept on switching to different food items too quickly while I was reading it and the manager handed me a laminated menu to read off of that instead. Wow... no place has ever been that friendly & caring in service! The food prices are very decently priced for a cafe. It's very clean & the dining area looked very cozy. The staff here really makes you feel at home here... wow, super incredible ambience just makes you want to come back here & spend all your money here trying everything lol... SPECTACULAR menu so much variety I really need to try everything on the menu it all sounds so so good! The hibiscus lemonade is an absolute must... it was very refreshing felt like being at the spa with every sip.

Great Service & Super Welcome from this newbie Eleven80 Cafe. Empanadas to die for especially the guava and goat cheese. This is one of a kind being goat cheese instead of cream cheese. It is sweet so you choose to add more guava or not, but it's perfect just the way it is. I also ordered an Italian beef empanada, and a passion fruit lemonade. Next time I want to try the iced horchata and the jibarito hash. I'd love to see a guava latte and a jibarito sandwich(tostones as the bread w/ steak as the filling) as a special or on the menu in the future. Cute cafe w/ inside tables and nice decor and tasty Latin fusion bites will satisfy your hunger! Check Them Out for breakfast & lunch!

Came here on a Sunday and it's such a great addition to South Tampa! The empanadas are a must, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made fresh, and the ChiTown Clucker sandwich was super juicy and flavorful. We also met the owners, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit! What I ordered: - Buffalo Chicken Empanada - Italian Beef Empanada - The Chitown Clucker

WONDERFUL from start to finish! We came in on Sunday morning and dove deep into Eleven80's offerings. I sent my husband to order (and he was hungry) so we ended up with a great sampling of what this amazing place has to offer. +empanadas ordered: Bacon, egg, cheese Buffalo Chicken Ropa Vieja +Omelette with bacon, tomato, cheese & side of plantains +pan Sabao French toast +Jibarito Hash +The Chitown Clucker +iced horchata latte +iced cafe con leche latte There wasn't anything we didn't love! Seriously. 5 out of 5, 100 %, A PLUS! The food was flavorful, fresh, made &'served with a lot of love. Service was wonderful, owners on site and gave a lot of care to guests, chef came out from the back to ask about our satisfaction. Eleven80 just opened 3 weeks ago & I can only hope that this establishment sticks around and becomes a staple in the Tampa community. We will be back!

Solid breakfast right as I landed in Tampa!! Service was extremely friendly as the owner greeted me right away as they opened, started a good conversation with me & recommended various items on the menu! Ambiance was friendly, clean, and inviting!! Definitely eat here again when I land in Tampa!

So I got a flyer for a free empanada. I'll let you be the judge if that makes this a biased review. First, what a cute little restaurant. It's in a small strip mall... Right off a busy highway. If you blink, you'll miss it. I missed it for over a month as I drive this route almost every day. Glad I got the flyer to introduce me to this little spot. Cute spot with an inner dining room and even an outside patio. Second, Gabriel (the front of house man... And I suspect manager/owner) was awesome. Super enthusiastic and polite. I heard him asking just about everybody in the restaurant how their visit and food was going. That's positive restaurant management that I don't see very often. Third (and finally), the food. Well, they only serve breakfast and lunch. You can get lunch during breakfast... You can get breakfast during lunch. But, no dinner. They have several things on the menu including eggs, waffles, and of course empanadas. I cashed in my ticket for a free empanada. I chose the Ropa Vieja version. I also got a Café con Leche. I got the coffee in hand first... Let me tell you... I think this is the best Café con Leche I've ever had. Gabriel asked me if I would like it "sweet or not sweet"... Obviously, I chose sweet. Perfect sweetness. Then came the empanada. It was delicious. The Ropa Vieja was perfectly seasoned and a perfect consistency being tender, not mushy. No complaints. Food and drink gets an A+. But, I do have one comment and/or criticism. I'm not an expert on empanada pricing... But, my Roba Vieja empanada was $6.50. As for a complete lunch and not a snack... You need at least two to fill you up. The empanada is well stuffed... But it's still a small empanada. So $13 for two empanadas tips the scale at being just a little bit pricey. So, I'll let you be the final judge... Nice location, great food, excellent coffee... however, not a "cheap eats" spot.

First of all, I got an invite from Nelson to come check out the restaurant. The transformation of the restaurant is wonderful. The warm colors and the music is inviting. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade....yum. Then, I ordered the Roja Vieja empanada, it was piping hot and very good with the chipotle mayo. Also, I got The Pops sandwich which was steak, onions and an egg omelette on Cuban bread. It's a big sandwich and very tasty. I have to mention Gabriel and Mike are awesome staff. I met Nelson briefly, very nice too. Go check it out in South Tampa.

This restaurant has such nice decor and plenty of seating. The staff has an amazing energy and their service was great. The food was also unbelievable. I only tried the empanadas and coffees, but I'll definitely be back to explore the menu.

A lot of people bring their children here and it makes sense that they're here early since children wake up early. They also have a really cute treasure box with prizes for the kids, so if I was here with my family, I probably would bump this up a star. However, I was here with my husband and our couple friend. The decor is beautiful. I love how bright and cheery all the decorations are. Parking can get difficult, it seems like they have just enough parking for the amount of people there. The food is what I found just OK. I got their yogurt bowl, which I guess I can't really expect to be wow'd by a yogurt bowl, but I found it to be fine. My options were limited since I don't eat pork and a majority of their meat is pork. They do have a chicken sausage, but looking at pictures. It looks like the casing may possibly be pork so I decided to avoid it just in case. I also got their cold brew, it didn't come with any cream or sweetener or anything to add. I probably should've asked for some, because I found the cold brew to just be OK. My husband got the chicken pot pie and said he expected more chicken in it. I think our overall feel of the food was it was fine, but not great. I won't run to come back here, but I also wouldn't be opposed to someone wanted to. I think that's the definition of three stars for me. Price is super reasonable, this meal will not break the bank.

Our waiter, Gavin (I believe... sorry) was super friendly, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. He even created our cocktails based on what we liked. At the end, he also curated his own whiskey flight for us to try. We had two other brief waiters who came to drop off our food and they too were friendly. Food (brunch): For an appetizer, we ordered the candied bacon which honestly was the best bacon we've had. It was thick with a good combo of crispy and chewy. It wasn't soggy nor overly sweet, just perfect. For our main course, we ordered the breakfast sandwich which consisted of BEC w peppers, garlic-basil aoli on an everything bagel. She was fun and even took our water order and served it to us. Never seen that before and more places should do this. Our server Caleb is easily top 3 of the servers we have ever had. Friendly, joking and very accommodating. His recommendations were spot on and after finding out about my wife's drinks tastes gave her the perfect drink. We also have to mention Lucky. Never has a food runner left such a lasting impression that we needed to ask for his name to give him the recognition he rightfully deserves. This time, with a different group of friends, we were inside-on a Saturday evening. Glad we had a reservation. Because it was bustling and humming. But the vibes were still happy and healing. (As were the cocktails! The spicy pineapple margaritas are fantastic!) My fiends each ordered something different: a burger for one, a salad for another and a pizza for yet another. They were each delighted with their choices. I went for two appetizers: the charred cauliflower... which was excellent (those dates!) and a seasonal butternut squash soup that was unforgettably good-it satisfied both stomach and soul. One friend savored a Manhattan and two were all into the lavender matcha. Four completely different palettes but the same happy feeling. This was a good choice (thanks, Michelle) True Food Kitchen prides itself on fresh, quality ingredients and you can taste it. The menu isn't huge, but the variety is good and the flavors are tremendous. The interior is bright, with lots of windows and interesting seating. It was a little loud in there, but that's to be expected on a Saturday. I don't remember if there were desserts-we were so full, I don't think we even looked. I owe it to myself to go back and check.
