We were celebrating my cousin's birthday and chose Barcelona. Hands down one of my favorite places. We ordered the full-size Mariscos Paella and the full Barcelona Parrillada. It was the perfect amount of food for four people, and we finished everything. I did enjoy the paella, but the meat in the parrillada was a bit too salty and didn't sit well with my stomach. Disappointed. There are many Barcelona restaurants around, and I'm generally a fan of this chain. However, our dinner experience at this Barcelona Norwalk was rather subpar. Maybe it was a bad luck, but the most of the tapas we ordered were either under-seasoned, or overly salty. We had 7 or 8 different tapas and I honestly can't say that I liked any of them. We also ordered dessert, and only coffee ice cream was tasty, but flan and cheesecake were rather meh. Service was friendly, but with some occasional timing lapses. I'm sure Barcelona can do better. read more

The food was on point and the service was great, both in terms of pace and attentiveness. Our party of 4 (plus baby) was seated promptly and a high chair was brought over. Foodwise we tried: Spinach & chickpea cazuela, whipped sheep's cheese, patatas bravas, pork belly, double cut bacon, croquetas, eggplant caponata and gambas al ajillo. Everything was tasty but the favorites were the cazuela, sheep's cheese, pork belly and caponata. For desert we tried the basque cheescake and flan catalan; both were delicious! Wow. Front start to finish my experience was flawless. Ryann, no words, she provided the best personal touch. From behind the bar to the personal table touches she was on point. I have never been to a restaurant where it was so clear who was running the show. From watching her work with the front of house to the kitchen to back of house to the bar it was quite apparent she is respected. My guests and I had a wonderful time at BWB in Norwalk CT at the beginning of 2025. The bartender Lucas kept us laughing and well-served the entire night. The vibe was uniquely spirited and fun. I (and my guests) have a wicked sense of humor and not only could Lucas keep up, he was leading half the time. The food was also flavorful and filling and the manager was gracious, friendly and ensured we had a great experience. We promised to come back and see him so I hope we cross paths again. Having never been to the Barcelona in Norwalk I was thrilled to enter a warm burbling of conversation, good music, and a friendly staff. Brandon greeted us at the door and said there would be a brief wait as people finished and a table prepared. We were happy to hang out at the bar and lean until a table was available. Brandon very kindly reorganized the tables to accommodate us being seated sooner. We ordered a selection of tapas from our warm, friendly waitress, Kinzie, including mussels, fresh anchovies, hummus, and others. Everything was excellent, flavorful, and prepared well. We left feeling so very glad to have tried the Norwalk Barcelona. It is a little more open than the Stamford location with better table spacing and better acoustics. Our waiter, Bryan went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Me and my partner came in not really knowing what we wanted to eat and he made excellent recommendations. This was an absolutely perfect Valentine's Day dinner this place has set up. I have called ahead and made a reservation here and got myself seated in about 15 minutes. However, they had sweets and treats to enjoy through the wait time. The theme of the restaurant was dim and a pleasant candle light experience with roses at every table. I tried... I did. I gave it 2 tries in 1 week and both were terrible. My first time there I sat at the bar and no one paid attention to me. Everyone was doing side work with their backs turned. I literally had to raise my hand and say, Excuse me twice, once to order wine and another to order my food. It was so sad. I wanted to give them a try. Then another time I decided to take my parents there thinking the table service would be different. We didn't get greeted for 11 minutes. When the waitor did come over, he grabbed our water glasses with his fingers, pulling them towards him with his fingers on the lip area. Our food didn't come. We eded up canceling our food after 45 minutes (olives and goat cheese spread or something). The waitor all of a sudden was bringing the apps at the end when our jackets were on and we're about to leave "these just came out, they're on the house". Really? Also for the entire hour we sat there, the 2 tables around us stayed dirty. From the moment we sat down until we got up, no one cleaned the tables around us. I hope a manager doesn't comment on this saying "please give us another chance", because the two managers sat at the bar the whole time and catered to the engagement party or whatever was happening in the other room. From start to finish was night and day, Brandon, one of the most professional managers I've ever met, knew his restaurant through and through and was a master of his craft! Rahm, an amazing hire for Barcalona, if they can hire waiters like him this place will explode in amazing business reviews and clientele. Our waiter was very helpful and we ordered a charcuterie board- 2 meats and 2 cheeses (Serrano and Soppressata/Manchego and Bourgogne along with Albongidas meatballs, mahi mahi, patatas bravas and the chorizo with sweet and sour figs. It was definitely enough for 3 (plus we had bread). Wine was also good. Oddly the fave was the patatas bravas- tender potatoes with a nice crisp on the outside. LOVE this restaurant. When will you guys open up a place in New York?? We've been to the Boston and the DC location of Barcelona. All the tapas are unique and high quality. The hanger steak because the sauce was unique and the steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. The albondigas were delicious paired with a yummy tomato based sauce. The mushroom risotto was super cheesy and it was done well. I would highly recommend these tapas. The chicken pimentos is meant to be shared and it was the best dish we've had! The chicken was so juicy and cooked perfectly. The chicken skin was crispy and beautifully cooked! The pimento sauce added a little bit of heat to the meal! Highly recommend! We had it with cappuccinos which were rich and creamy. Nicole was our server. She was wonderful. Good spot for dinner or afterward teats. Very wheelchair accessible including the bathrooms, though the doors need automatic openers. The parking garage has an accessible spot up the first ramp near the elevator. I will never go to Barcelona Wine bar again, my boyfriend had a birthday, and I booked a room and a table in Barcelona for 16 people, everything is great, we are waiting for the holiday, we come to restaurant , and we got 2 separate tables, the guests sit back to back, all are not satisfied, a couple of days before the holiday. I called and asked if we would have a room, to which I was told yes,, you will have 100% , it will be a very terrible experience from the manager's side, I do not recommend celebrating as a birthday, etc., you will be deceived like me!!!!! read more
