What a cool tiny place to hang out. Excellent decor inside with brick, cool photos, and nice tables. They also have a few tables outside. The female at the front greeted us with a big smile and we were able to sit anywhere. It was 4:00pm on a Sunday so the place was pretty quiet. Our server took our order right away, we noticed they had happy hour drinks and app specials at very reasonable prices, so we went with a white wine and Prosecco--both tasting perfect. We also ordered a plate of 6 wings for $5 and they were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy. We hung out and decided to order dinner, the Little Italy Pizza and the Tagliatelle pasta, both cooked up well with the pizza having a crispy thin crust with sliced meatballs. The pasta had a creamy tomato sauce that was to die for. Service was really good with all staff acting as a team to take care of you. This was the best overall dining experience I had while in Naples. In the heart of the beautiful Mercato shops, Bar Tulia is a hip and lively vibe restaurant with lots of character. Our server was excellent with their recommendations for their new winter menu. For drinks we had the banana old fashioned (trust me, it still had that classic taste) with a cinnamon stick, and the aperol spritz. We started with the Brussel sprouts that had bits of crispy sausage. And for mains we had the potato gnocchi with duck neck ragu and the My Michelle pizza. I love the atmosphere of this place. Feels upscale but at the same time very laid back. The music they play is a vibe. I like how the bar space is separated from the restaurant area - a bit on the small side so can get crowded but I think that adds to the charm of it. Great spot for all adults of any age and tends to attract the younger audiences in a generally older part of town. If i could give this bar 10 stars, I would. I love the atmosphere, there were quite a few birthday parties going on tonight and lots of excitement. Going alone to bars is not something for the weak, but let me tell you: I was not alone tonight! Not only were the bartenders AMAZINGLY personable, but the customers were welcoming as well. What a pleasant surprise. I turned 21 last month and I've been looking for good bars and good drinks. This is the bar for just that. A loud, exciting, but welcoming atmosphere even on a Thursday night like this. Downtown Naples is always a pleasure, but with Bar Tulia, it's much more than that. My bartender, David (pronounced Daveed) was splendid- his artistry with the cocktail creation was ABSOLUTE beauty and the pizza (I got the "My Michelle") was ridiculous too. I love it. I'll be back!!! 100% recommend for a "go to the bar alone" type situation as well as with friends. Everyone was welcoming and sweet and this is a staple of Naples. Osteria Tulia to the rescue! (actually it was their sister location Bar Tulia next door that stays open a bit later) but I finally found a nice spot on 5th to have a drink and a bite after 10pm. There is top-notch bartending going on over here people. It's 5th ave so prices are already higher, but when I tell you that this drink actually tasted MORE EXPENSIVE than it's price tag, I'm not lying. I'm a firm believe that pricey drinks should taste pricey. This cocktail was definitely well worth the price and really well thought out. It had pineapple, a dry ancho chile and tequila blanco. That touch of spiciness and sweetness was truly exquisite! Bravo bartender! They don't stop at good drinks tho. They had mouth-watering bar food! Chef-style pizza and appetizers. We had the meatball and the Parma pizza and they both were fought over by the group. We ordered meatballs as an appetizer too. Those disappeared faster than hand sanitizer at publix. I felt like the hero of the night for finding this place. Also the service was excellent, the ambiance we enjoyed while seated outside was lively even for 10:30 on a Wednesday in Naples. The good parts: the food The OK part: the service. The not great: I don't like automatic gratuity added to my bill. It is message that says we don't trust ourselves to deliver a great experience to you and we don't trust you to reward us if we do. The absolutely terrible: The wood chairs in the restaurant are the single most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever experienced. They are rock hard at the seat and the backs angle inward toward the top. Thus your back has no support and the top of the chair digs into the upper part of your back. There is no seating position that allows you to get comfortable. All you can do is look forward to the dinner being over so that you can extricate yourself from the torture chair. I can't overstate just how badly this ruined the dinner for me. Every single person at the table complained. Keep in mind that more than half of the diners were under the age of 35. So this wasn't an old person complaining about uncomfortable seating. These chairs are absolutely awful. I'd be glad to go back there if they changed out the chairs. But as it stands now, I'll never return. read more

What a wonderful spot! We called ahead of time and were advised if we wanted outdoor seating, to go to the portion of the restaurant called "Nonna's Garden." Arrived around 9pm on a Friday evening, and although the place was very busy, we were seated immediately and greeted by a very kind and helpful waitress. The pasta, pizza, and drinks were AMAZING (definitely pricey but 100% worth it), and I would come back here ANYTIME I am in the area again!! We had a great time last night as usual closing out Christmas Eve at our favorite bar in Naples.   I felt compelled to write this updated review, as I noticed a recent two star (then dropped down to one star) review from Michael H. Most of his reviews are one or two stars. Not sure why someone is compelled to always put down restaurants -- especially as he says he is a restaurant owner in these trying times. I've never been sick from Bar Tulia. Quite the contrary, the food is fantastic -- from pigs ears and fried chicken to Modena pizza and various pastas. I couldn't recommend this place more. Such a great restaurant in Naples on Fifth Avenue. Bar Tulia is a small restaurant directly adjacent to its sister restaurant Osteria Tulia. There are about 12 seats at the bar with four high top tables opposite the bar area along with some additional tables in the front. We went for Happy Hour and we ordered food from their regular menu. The customer service is excellent frequently checking with the customers. They offer a variety of specialty cocktails as well as wine and Proseco with very generous pours on the wine. We started with the Oysters and Meatball's which were very good. The menu selections offer pizza with various toppings and pasta dishes. I ordered the garganelli pasta with pancetta, peas in a mascarpone cream sauce. The pasta dish was absolutely delicious. read more

We have been enjoying Bar Tulia 3 times or more a week lately. We have really enjoyed the iced cold Peroni on draft. They have the best steamed mussels in a beautiful broth. So delicious! The chef, Zach, brought us out some of his amazing little dessert chocolates to enjoy. He is a seriously talented chef. Also, the manager is always stopping by to say hello to us. The bartenders are very friendly and they made us a delicious old fashioned. David is a server and bartender and he always makes sure he comes over and greets us as well. This is a trendy little hot spot for cocktails & appetizers on 5th. One of the few places in downtown targeting the younger generation of Naples. It's basically Osteria Tulia's younger & cooler sibling. It's a small hip gastropub/tavern so the night life crowd is mostly comprised of those between ages 20-40. Such an amazing dinner on 5th ave. We had a party of 13 which is typically nearly impossible to seat and they made it work despite not taking reservations. The hostess sat us within 10 minutes at prime dinner hour and rearranged tables to accommodate. Mauricio was our server and he was outstanding. We had the worst service here! Waited 15 minutes for waiter to approach table. Bread arrived to the table just as we were finishing our meal and drinks were never refilled, not even water. When I asked for more ice tea I was told they were out because they were redoing the menu the next day. I spoke to the manager and she took my name and phone number.
