Way tastier, balanced, and certainly stronger than I was expecting for theme park items. But I loved it! Also, my bartender was so cute, charming, but also killing it at a rather busy bar. I will say, whatever the base of the drink the actual mudslide mix, was so filling, that about three-quarters through it got almost sickly thick and sweet. Still worth it! You do not have to eat in the restaurant to come here, it has a separate line as well as a separate door. They do not actually serve food here, only drinks. It is very much themed to Harry Potter. If you have read the books or seen the movies, this is what you might envision when you think of the local pubs that Harry goes to with his friends. Their options are very limited, just having beers, ciders one or two cocktails and the famous butter beers. I personally enjoy coming here over the carts for Butterbeer. The line moves faster since it is bartenders and they know how to keep it moving. They also serve the souvenir goblets if you are looking for those. My husband and I love coming here for a drink. The vibes are dark and really brings us into the movies and books. We love it. We will usually grab a beer or cider. On our last visit here, we discovered there were some cocktails. I knew about a Long Island version which I am not a fan but this time, my husband asked if there was anything else she could make. She offered a cocktail with Vodka, Prickly Pear and Lemonade. She was super sweet as well and let him order mine even though I was outside, but I had to just go in and pick it up myself. They do not allow one person to take 2 drinks away with them. However, she had it ready and when I went in, she was easily able to just hand it over to me. It was actually delicious. The prickly pear was fantastic and mixed with the lemonade, really really good. She did not know the name of it but said if we asked for the lemonade prickly pear, everyone would know what we wanted. This is sort of hidden, but you can find the main entrance towards the left of the Monsters ride. The windmill does catch on fire several times throughout the day, which is pretty cool. When my husband and I stopped inside The Burning Blade Tavern, no one was inside it and we were actually the first customers! The theme of this restaurant is so cool. The inside is monsters themed and all of the tables are decorated like you're inside a medieval tavern. This is a quick service location. Some of the menu items you can get here include the burning cheddar bites, the pyre dip, and some unique specialty drinks. We ended up getting the Hunter's Garlic Stake. It was a crispy garlic butter pretzel with garlic dipping sauce. Unfortunately the Hunter's Garlic Stake had been sitting out for awhile and it was cold. It was decent, but it would have been absolutely amazing if it was cooked fresh and hot! I will come back here again during my next Epic Universe trip, and during the afternoon so I can get a fresh Hunter's Garlic Stake! Service was quick though, we didn't wait at all for the food.

It can be hidden since it is just a bar. It is very small, with a few high-top tables around. There is also a coke freestyle machine, so it tends to be very congested and busy here. Keep your eye open for it. This is not our favorite place. The do have beer and liquor. They seem to have an almost fully stocked bar, with a pretty decent selection. They also offer specialty cocktails. We like to try the specialty drinks since they are unique to the location, but they are just not the best. First and probably my biggest issue is the price. These cocktails are over $19 per drink, not very large and full of ice. We did not realize that every specialty drink comes in a plastic reusable cup. We ordered two different drinks and when he was making them, I didnt want the cup, our bartender said all the drinks come in the cups but if we brought it back we would save $5. This is a huge issue for me, no one else in the park am I forced to buy the cup. And the cup is plastic and will more than likely melt in the dishwasher. I also don't want to carry this cup around to be able to only refill AT THIS LOCATION for $5 off each time I visit, especially when I am already carrying Universal's refillable mug for water and soda. My other issue is the size of the drink. They were not very large and completely full of ice. I just did not see a good value in them. We saw him making the drinks and it was probably equivalent to a shot to shot and a half of liquor. My last issue is the actual drink flavors. Every single specialty drink was fruit and sweet and most of them were topped with soda. My husband does not drink soda, so it was very hard for him to pick one. My husband went with what seemed like the least sweet- Cape Guayaba, which had new Amsterdam vodka, guava nectar, lime juice and agave nectar. I thought they both were ok but honestly, they tasted like a glass of fruit juice. For $40 plus tip, I was highly disappointed and I'm not sure how much I would ever want to come back. They were ok, but if I didn't have to buy the glass, I would actually add an additional shot to make it a little stronger. All in all, this spot is ok. If you want a fruity cocktail this is your stop. I see a lot of positive reviews so maybe we had an off day or off bartender, but it was just ok. It was great weather making it a great night for margaritas on the dock. The price came out around $20 per drink. I took a star off because the bartender wasn't friendly. When asked what's the most popular margaritas her answer was "they are all good" she seemed upset because we didn't know what wanted and had questions.
