This place is as authentic as it gets for a good home cooked Pakistani food! If you've never had Pakistani food a great place to start is Nihari which is the national dish of Pakistan. Nihari is a slow cooked beef shank stew that's cooked for 6 hours which makes it so soft it pulls apart, but the best part is the gravy which goes perfectly with some garlic naan or even regular naan because it soaks up all the flavor from the gravy. My second favorite dish I've had here is the highway chicken karhai. The reason why the highways in Pakistan are so famous for having some of the best food is because people in Pakistan believe that truck drivers in Pakistan should have the best food due to their very long journeys along the highway. Therefore the highway chicken karhai here is an absolutely kicker of a dish packed with robust flavor and it's cooked in a wok which is the most traditional way to enjoy karhai. It goes really well with a tawa paratha which is a traditional fried bread on a pan or a puri which is a deep fried soft bread. If you're not sure what to try the first time they also have a buffet on Saturday and Sunday where they have a variety of dishes you can try. This also includes Payas (goat heel curry) which is a Pakistani delicacy and goes great with naan. When you walk in you'll see lots of small traditional items and artwork that are a huge part of the Pakistani culture like the rickshaws and paintings on the wall of some of the most iconic places in Pakistan like the tomb of Jinnah who is the founder of Pakistan. Overall, as a person who's from that part of the world I'd say this place definitely takes me back to my childhood! I will be visiting more often! read more

I attended an event here a few weeks ago, and it was fantastic! I learned about the subtle differences between Indian and Pakistani food and tried many of the menu options. Honestly, everything was delicious. The biryani and paneer masala were my favorites but all bites were tasty. I also won a complimentary buffet to come back on a weekend, and I very much look forward to that day. Right off Michigan Ave and 275 in Canton is this cute place with tasty Pakistani food. I had a chance to sample a lot of their menu items and had a chance to hear the story of the restaurant amd how it came together. Some of the dishes are spicy but they have a yogurt sauce to help with the heat if it's overbearing. The service was fast and pleasant. The decor is inviting. Bar-BQ nite was so kind to host this awesome event. My wife and I love all of the flavors of India and had high hopes from the pictures for our first Pakistani experience. The staff were lovely and inviting. The decor in the banquet room was super cool. To begin we had some appetizers. There was a beef somosa, that was pretty good, didn't blow my socks off. There was a veggie spring roll, that was not too bad. The fattoush salad was nice and refreshing. However, the star was the Chaat with chickpeas. The Chaat was creamy, crunchy and full of flavor; would definitely recommend. For dinner we had a Tikka paneer that was very nice. If you didn't know it was cheese it could be a great meat substitute. The Bar-Bq platter was good with a mix of chicken tikka and beef kabob. My only complaint was that the chicken tikka was too soft of a texture for me. And then there was a star in the Chicken Biryani. Maybe I was hungry, but this was super tasty. Starting off I love the decorations here. The people were so nice and I can tell they make the food with their soul into it. The dal was a good starter it's pretty good with some rice and I love the chilis in it. I like that in Pakistani dishes they have meat samosas bc in most Indian restaurants they have potato samosas so I like that you can find those here. The fattoush was healthy and a good starter as well. I loved the chicken tikka kabob so much. The beef one was good as well but I liked the chicken just a little bit more. You can really taste the seasonings and spice that went into the marinade and it was made it a tandoor (clay ) oven. This is actually my first time having tikka paneer so I thought it was good, it's a great choice for vegetarians. Lastly the chicken biryani was great. Biryani is a strong dish of Pakistani cuisine so did not disappoint. The zinger burgers ( fried chicken) were good and the chef explained he made it with a twist and in his own style. Following are the things the management of this restaurant should improve and take into consideration IF they want to compete with other desi restaurants in the area. 1. It is a dine in restaurant, so invest in stainless steel cutlery rather handing over the plastic spoons and utensils. 2. Give regular water glasses rather styrofoam cups. 3. I wanted to like this place, but with all the excellent Indian restaurants in Plymouth/Canton, I'll likely never return. Standards are high there, and unfortunately the food does not meet beyond minimal standards. Ordered dishes around $20 each that had 4-5 pieces of meat each, swimming in oil. Even after spending a few minutes stirring, I could not get things to mix properly. Also, for that price rice should be included, especially if the entree is skimpy. But NOPE no rice. If you want the usual run of the mill north Indian restaurant menu, this place is probably not for you, as the menu is more limited. But what they do have is GOOD. Took my guests for dinner this week; ordered many dishes. Mutton Karahi was aweful without taste and the meat was so cooked; looks like minced meat. The Bihari Kababs have the same issue of being over-cooked and not much taste. The Seekh Kababs were okay. We (party of 5) spent more than $200 for that crappy food and it was too pricey. They should fire their chef immediately. That ruined up our entire evening. I would say it was our first and last visit of this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

The customer service is outstanding (the wait staff is friendly, the owner checked in on us etc). This was my first experience with Pakistani food. I ate the Highway Chicken Karahi and naan bread. It had heat to it, but was extremely flavorful. The sauce and naan helped cool the heat but didn't hinder the flavor at all. I also tried the lime soda. This isn't sprite or 7-up. It was very unique. It was limey with a slight hint of mint. My friend got a Kheer (akin to rice pudding dessert) and let me try some. It was delicious as well. We will be back. read more
