I found this place on Yelp with some good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. When I called in…read moremy order, they told me that they were busy and it would be a while before my food was ready. I was okay with that, so the lady on the phone said she'd call when my food was ready (which she did). I picked up my food and saw that the place was quite small. They only had a bar as a eating area and the bar had only 3 or 4 seats. It looked like they may be remodeling, but there definitely isn't much sitting room. On to the food.... I like that they offer a good variety on their menu. I chose to get the shrimp makhani. They asked how spicy I'd like it and I said as hot as possible. With the 1st bite, I realized that they had gave me all of the heat that I could handle. The food was SPICY just how I like it. The sauce was spicy but also really good. The shrimp was a little overcooked for me, but didn't affect the flavor at all. I wish I had a little more rice to go with the shrimp makhani, but overall it was a good experience.

This place deserves zero stars. Naans are store bought and heated at the restaurant on a Tawa (flat top pan), In my case the regular Naans are costco bought. How do I know this, I clearly seen the lady take them out of the packaging and heat them up, see pics. $2 for a small tiny bite size Keema Samosa, that is just ridiculous and greedy. Oh and the best part (drum roll...) also store bought frozen ones, deep fried at restaurant. The Haleem, barely had any meat, mostly consisting of lentils/wheat. The so called "Best Veal Biryani in the City" is anything but, 2 out of 10 in my opinion. To top it off, gentlemen (which I believe is the owner) standing at the front counter is very rude, acts like he's doing you a favour by heavily marking up store bought food, reheating and serving it to you. Another Windsor Desi restaurant fail.

Their prices are average but the food is definitely worth the price. The only reason I have for rating this place four stars instead of five is that the service is only average and the inside of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. Their lunch specials are only $6 and include rice, naan and chicken, lamb or goat curry. This is a great buy for anybody and while you don't get as much food as you would buying the full price entrees, the food is still top notch.

The 9.99 buffet is adequately priced and meets expectations, but does not exceed them. The two money items the Samosa and butter chicken were solid dishes. The samosa was crispy and light, not heavy with a savory filling of chick pees and potatoes and just the right amount of spice. The butter chicken was tender and flavorful, and melted in your mouth nicely when paired with rice. Side dishes including the chick pees and mixed vegetables had good texture and the spices warned the cheeks and cleared the sinuses. Just like you would expect good Indian food to do!
