My favorite Restaurant, Amazing Food And Service I've Been eating here for like over a year And Never Had a Bad experience

I've been here a couple of times and it never disappoint. I was telling my friend about this place and we decided to go for dinner. We ordered the samosas, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and garlic nan. The food was spot on per usual. It was my friend's first time trying Indian cuisine and loved it. How are they even staying afloat. Worst Indian food. Return again after 2-3 years to see if they have changed by any chance.. but no! Vada was bad, way too salty and surely old dough. Ordered Mysore masala dosa. - first ever in my life had a sweet one. When asked she replied that's how it tastes. And dosa by itself was also bad, may be used instant mix. Generally the staff seem to be friendly. But don't know anything about their food. Funny.... I asked someone about the dosa. Have they tasted this dosa. They said "no, I bring lunch from home" lol.. We got the lamb curry, chicken vindaloo, a fried cauliflower fish, panerr and 2 types of Naan. Everything was spicey and flavorful. The rice was delicious and complimented the saucey dishes nicely. The Naan was good but nothing over the top amazing. read more

Friendly service and quality indian cuisine. Rich in taste and the appetizer chicken 60 (65 or whatever the number is) has been plenty. Nice touch was the Indian music which was subtle in the background and created a relaxed environment. I recommend! read more

I have been hankering for a dosa for a long while. This spot came well recommended and I had the Maysur Masala Dosa. A WONDERUL lentil based crepe with an array of filling choices. Mine consisted of a curry potato and chutney. It came with a lentil broth and yogurt coconut sides. The harder part was choosing between the four lamb curry options. I was disappointed by the lack of interest in the server when I asked the differences between them. He seemed to have a take it or leave it attitude. Now, I understand some of the comments from other reviewers. I went with the "lamb curry." A generic name but it consisted of a tomato- base. It takes some of the gaminess off the lamb. I still prefer vindaloo, but with more help I might have made a better choice for my preferences. Diner-style environment. Not many customers when I was there, but the phone was ringing off the hook. Must have different owners from the FH location. The FH location is only open for carry out. We were happy to find his location was open for dine-in. We ordered gobi Manchurian, butter chicken, Chana masala, veg makhani, bhindi masala too. Indian food is a good spot during lent with no bread or bad carbs allowed for the 3.5 more weeks. The Gobi smells good. It was out less less than 5 minutes. The cauliflower is quite crispy. It's spicy and nicely flavored too. The dosa is big, quite long and nice, light and super crunchy too. The portions are smaller here but it's less than other places too. I like the fresh ginger in the bhindi masala, butter chicken too. The butter chicken is tasty. They are all about customer service here. They take good care of you here and regularly check up on you too. They clearly know their regulars and called us out as newbies here. The food is all really good. Service is also great. The Chana wasn't bad, flavor wasn't quite what I was anticipating, it wasn't bad, just wasn't my favorite. The okra had some stringy parts of the stem of the okra. The okra as whole tasted good. The accompaniments for the dosa aren't my favorite either. They are just there. The total with tax was $61.42. They do charge you $0.50 for each bottle of water, which they give you after you order. The price isn't the issue, but it would be good to let the customers know ahead of time while ordering. Bathroom was clean. Additionally, they bring the card reader to the table to cash you out, they do only verbalize your total, no tally to view at all. read more

I was so disappointed with my recent order. After being a repeat customer for a number of months, they have disappointed me on too many occasions recently. I am not sure what happened to this place. Been regular and I've rated five stars for their taste and quality. You can tell a big difference in the taste of food. Called and placed the following order for a party. Chilli Chicken (Quarter tray) Gobi Manchurian (Quarter tray) Looked great but tasted terrible. Chili Chicken tasted like it had been sitting for a while and they just warmed up. Chicken was so dry and was surprised how bland tasting it was. Gobi Manchurian was tangy and lacked lot of flavor. Both the dishes did not taste fresh. Truly awful! After being disappointed three times in a row, I won't be ordering here again. Overall the quality of the food was horrible. Needless to say, I will not recommend for the taste they provide! We'll be looking around for different option next time we crave for Indian food! read more

Thanks to recent covid and subsequent kidney failure I am on a renal diet, and I am not allowed many foods or drinks that I was allowed before. Dosa being one of my favorite Indian dishes, my wife decided to take me out. We chose Namaste Flavours for we have been here before years ago. They are located in Canton MI off Ford Road EB in the shopping plaza next to Murray's Automotive. When we went in there, my wife asked the lady taking our order if my Dosa can be specially made? Although there were other customers there, they still respected our request, and we got our food. There was hardly any salt in my food, and I loved every bit of it. I ordered the boneless chicken curry, clearly listed on thier own website as being BONELESS, and it was full of sharp jagged bones. When I bit into the firat peice a bone stabbed my cheek They had taken bone in chicken and hacked it apart with a cleaver so that all of the bones in each leice were as sharp as possible. When I called the restaurant the woman refused to explain why she would do such a thing, she claimed she did not know their own website lists the item as boneless chicken, and then hung up on me. She made it clear that there was no manager running the store for me to talk to, no matter when I called back. So who is in charge of this disaster? read more

I got the butter chicken like I have many times in the past. They have an easy to use order system on their website and I pick that up for me. It's always awesome! When I say awesome it's indescribable how good it is. I also get the garlic naan. This is the only leftovers I will eat. Try this place, you will not be disappointed. This place gave me such a bad experience I don't even know where to begin! From the service on the phone for carryout, to the actual quality (or lack thereof) of the food...this place consistently let me down. First off when we called, the manager or employee who answered the phone seemed fully disinterested in taking our order and kept trying to rush us off the phone. We asked for a side of onion/lemon and he completely disregarded us twice. When we got there and picked up the food, we asked to confirm if our side of onion and lemon was included and the guy gave us a dirty look as if he knew who we were from that comment. Now on to the real mess of the matter - the food. The lamb biryani was totally stale and the lamb meat itself was so overcooked and old, it tasted like rubbery cardboard. The channa bhatura was average but the bhatura was dripping in oil. They added an order of dosa chutney (peanut or coconut) ... but why? Why give a mismatched chutney with this order which we didn't even ask for? The raita was a surprising highlight of the meal since it was the only item they actually made well. Absolutely delicious food. My dad and I make it our mission to try a new indian place each time we are craving indian food. My dad is the picky one when it comes to his indian food but this place was "the best place we've had". I ordered my usual chicken biryani and my dad decided to try something new... the chicken saag. Both of these dishes met and exceeded our expectations. The chicken in both dishes was SUPER moist. Love this place, I have been to the Farmington one before and they are both very tasty. My favorite dish is the Biryani, both chicken drum and lamb are great. Next best is the butter chicken, it's creamy and full of flavor. If you can't take heat be careful when you choose the spicy level, it can get quite spicy at medium. Very very bad food. I am really surprised to see that there are so many Indian restaurants in this area and none of them has consistency. I have had takeout from here before , the food was ok that time. But today I ordered goat biryani and chicken tikka masala and I am so mad that the food is just awful at its best. I just want to be clear - rice mixed with the meat curry is not biryani in any style or form. The tikka masala is like runny watery curry. I am really sad and mad that I spent. I have been looking Everywhere! Finally found some good Indian food that's not 100 miles away from me! This restaurant looks very new and clean. I came in for lunch on my break from work and they made it so quick I was surprised. The food was delicious, I ordered the kadai chicken lunch special and it was so generous. I asked for a couple boxes to-go because there was noway I could eat all that food. The kadai chicken and basmati rice are the perfect combo, the naan was good but I try to stay away from too many carbs (rice and bread together? Oh no darling) but none the less, very good. The soup with the lunch special is a cream of tomatoe and black pepper with toasted croutons, also delicious. Alll this for $9.99 is awesome. Curry flows through my veins and a little cream is present too but there was a surplus for the Sunday Lunch Special. The amount of cream in each dish was sort of the only thing that stuck out. It started with the creamy tomato soup which had a bit of tasty spice but was way too salty. Then, there was creamy lentils. Next, navratan which had more cream than veggies. Last, the dessert was a creamy fruit cocktail with some honey on top. For the Sunday Lunch Special, I tried the veggie and meat dish. The meat dish came with a side of Kung Pao Chicken which was better than any I'd ever had anywhere! It was a nice surprise! I would go back but just to get the Kung Pao Chicken. Very tasty food. I took 8 family members here including some visiting from India and we all loved the food .

Great food, good service. I had the lunch special, which was a lot of food for the price and included really delicious naan. I liked the chicken tikka masala and want to go back to try some of the more interesting dishes on the menu. The place was clean and well-kept, and I like having the option of vegetarian and non-veg dishes. This will be my default for Indian food, and will save me the drive to Troy or Farmington Hills, because I think this is the same quality and flavor as anything else I can find there. read more
