Amazing experience at Authentikka! The entrance itself sets a nice vibe -- there's a beautiful Ganesh murti and a calm, welcoming feel as soon as you walk in. The whole place has a classy ambience, perfect lighting, and a great decor. There's even a bar area if you want to grab a drink, which adds to the overall setup. They also have a big banquet hall inside -- it's really spacious with elegant chandeliers. Looks like the perfect spot for parties or functions. Very impressive. Now the food -- honestly, everything we tried was spot on. We had Methi Malai Mutter Paneer and Veg Kadai, both were amazing in flavor and cooked perfectly. The Gobi Manchurian was crispy, flavorful, and had that authentic Indo-Chinese kick. The Manchow Soup was nice too. And the sweets -- I have no words! The Gajar Halwa and Gulab Jamun were just amazing. Soft, fresh, and absolutely worth trying. Service was friendly and quick. Overall, a really good experience. The Malabar biryanis is the real star. I took seconds with the Raita and Andra style pickle. And the Mango pudding dessert. "It was fine" That was the general consensus of the meal tonight, our 1st time here. The vibe was incredibly confusing, when you walk in there are chandeliers (huge ones) hanging from the ceiling there is even a banquet hall for events , but they were blasting Usher and Eminem music (the real versions with swear words, not radio edits). We ordered a few items on the menu that came out hot and fresh, but overall the flavor seemed generic. We got butter masala, samosa chat and chicken 65. Excellent service (they were always filling up our water) and were very attentive. We started our meal off with a samosa appetizer which was delicious! It is spicy and came with 2 sauces. I really enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone (as long as you're okay with some spice). I ordered a Chicken Kadai Hot, and yes, it was super spicy! I think I would order Medium next time but I'm so glad the spice level was there (sometimes you never know what you'll get). I thought the chicken was not too dry and liked the veggies in this dish. My go to is the Chicken Vindaloo so I will have to try that next time. My friend ordered a Veggie Tikka Masala Medium, which she said was a little sweet but overall good. The restaurant is large and has several booths (I'm too short for the booths to be comfy as my back doesn't reach the back cushion if my feet are on the ground, but I always appreciate a booth since the rest of my family is tall. my favorite go-to indian restaurant. seriously every time i try a new place i'm disappointed because this place just does everything so perfectly. the food always tastes fresh, they're so accommodating, a cozy atmosphere, and they consistently deliver a great experience- in a very timely manner as well. i highly recommend the bagara baingan, any of their breads, their basmati rice is exceptional, and their tikka masalas. they've already grown so much since i first found them, and it's been amazing to see. i hope they keep up the quality and that more people discover and enjoy their service :) read more

Asdale was there biryani fresh and tasty and deathly parrot with their yogurt Which was spectacular. Their ambience is also amazing with nice lights and songs to listen as well. This is my second visit. I had the Hot and Sour Soup, Chicken 65, and the Chicken Hakka Noodles. The soup was okay, but was only about the size of a dipping cup. IMO, if it is that small, maybe it should not be served. IMO, it was not worth $4.99. I would not order the soup again. The chicken was good, but could have been seasoned with more spice. That was also true for the noodles. The noodles could have benefitted from more garam masala/spices. However, the chicken and noodles worked well together. The server told me that is how they eat it in Hyderabad. I would not solely order the noodles. The restaurant is very clean, the dining room is beautiful, and the food presentation is well executed. I would visit again. Next time, I would like to try some other dishes. I knocked them down one star for the soup and the value buy for my meal. read more

A friend, from India, told me about this place having more authentic Indian cuisine than what I was used to enjoying, but in her opinion was subpar. Well, I was delighted by everything I ate: the flavors and the heat level was spot on for me. My server, Ketan S, was very personable and knowledgeable answering my questions about entree's I was considering. I must have samosas! So he suggested Samosa Chat- which is samosas that are smashed and cooked further, presented in a bowl with I believe tamarind sauce on the sides of the bowl. Wonderful tastes, I chose medium spice and it was nice to eat with a spoon to mix tastes. I wanted a Chickoo shake but they were out, so sad been craving a Chickoo lassi ( from another place) but the mango Lassi was good. My boneless Chicken Chettinad medium spicy was fantastic! The black pepper in the sauce/ gravy gave it a nice kick and the chicken was so tender. And no fatty pieces which is a big turnoff for me. An order of Bullet Naan completed my order, 1st time trying and I loved it! Ketan informed me several times that it was "very spicy because of the green chiles in the dough," but my gut was telling me to go for it. I'm glad I listened because I thoroughly enjoyed it, even dipping it in the Chettinad gravy! The more I enjoyed these 2 items the spicier my mouth felt & that's how I rate a meal as very good & it also lingers on 20-30 minutes. They have a pretty big bar and very big buffet set up (not at the time I was in). Decor was very nice with modern light fixtures over buffet and 2 large chandeliers. After far too long of putting it off, I got to explore true Indian food tonight. Unsure of exactly where to go and what to order, I ended up here at Authentikka after a suggestion from a food friend. She had been right before with suggestions, and she was again. This place was great! Such a treat. Prior to our arrival, I had been studying the menu for a bit. It's nice sized with good descriptions and not too many options where you feel overwhelmed. I had settled in on the Spinach Cashew Pakora for an appetizer and was glad I had done so. The pakora was perfectly crisp and so tasty!! The two sauces given to dip them in ( tamarind and mint) brought out even more flavors and aromatics. My wife and I ordered the Mango Lassi to drink, figuring the smoothie like drink would help with the spice later on, which it does. For the entree, we shared the House Platter and Palak Paneer. This came with 4 pieces of naan of our choice, which was plenty and delicious. The platter was a great way to sample some of the various meats they had to offer, cooked in different ways. We both loved the shrimp the most and want to try a seafood dish next time. I would recommend this dish to others like us, who are trying Idian cuisine for the first time. Great variety and tasty. The Palak Paneer was so flavorful, spicy, and so aromatic. The heat we ordered was a medium, and we got exactly that. It's not too hot where it burned but not too weak either. I appreciate that so much. Neither of us had paneer before tonight and had no idea if we would like it. We did!! I really liked this dish. Will get it again. We managed to save room for desert somehow and asked our server for a suggestion. He suggested we have the Gulab Jamun to finish off the evening, so we did. They were these sweet little balls of delicious dough in a sweet syrup like sauce with almond shavings. Remined us of pancakes and doughnuts all in one. It's really tasty. Oh, I must point out that our sever Jeeto was awesome throughout the evening as he helped us pick out items and explained the sauces. Came here to eat after shopping at Ikea. Authentikka is conveniently located in the same plaza and we were craving Indian food- so it worked out perfectly. We ordered the mango lassi, samosa, chicken vindaloo, chicken briyani, and butter naan. Everything tasted great. The chicken inside the briyani was tough; though the chicken vindaloo was very tender. My husband also asked for the hottest spice level for the vindaloo, but he did not find it spicy at all. I was debating between the briyani and butter chicken and I wish I had ordered the butter chicken instead. Naan was also a little burnt and we wished it was a little softer- not crispy. read more

I use to love their biriyani.. they started with a flame but Going down into ashes. Quality and taste going down every order. Was a huge fan of the Veg biriyani, i thought finally we have a good option in canton, but my previous 3 or 4 takeout's have been going down hill, the biriyani has been much less than perfect, either dry, Old veggies, flavorless. The curries i like here are chettinad, which not the cream based but tomato onion base, so far it has been always good. :) Mirchi ka salan is generally good, but super spicy, even if you order mild. Definitely give the Malabar paratha a try. the gluten crave! The Naan and Parathas are really good, even for a take out they stayed soft. (most other places tend to toughen up becomes hard) they have a good online ordering system, but they seem to have a huge hall for party's and such, damn pandemic, they cant serve. read more

Waiter returned to tell me it wasn't available because of covid but they have beer & wine. I asked what beer and wine & he said ask and he'll tell. Delicious option for Indian food! I was craving chicken tikka masala so badly and this hit the spot. The pakora and chicken makhani were good too. And of course had to get some garlic naan! Service was friendly but the only issue was that when we called to place the order we were quoted 45 mins. We got there around 55 mins later (had to stop for boba!) and still ended up waiting around 25 mins for our food. Still worth it though! read more

The recipes would take you forever to try to whip up in your own kitchen(I personally can't)! I ordered the lamb which was so tender, my wife had the chicken kabob (of course I tasted it) and it was well seasoned with the right amount of spices and had a creaminess from a well marinated meat. None of the dishes are overpowering , and each flavor seemed to compliment the next in a symphonic tastebud orchestra. On a whim I decided to give this place a try and I must say I'm impressed. I'm a huge fan of ethnic food and restaurants and authenticity is important to me so if I'm going to find an Indian restaurant to eat at I look to see if the local Indian population is dining in there. In this case that was exactly what I found. I only sampled the chicken tikka masala as I have never had it before and wanted to try it. I'm a huge curry fan and this did not disappoint it was creamy and delicious. The price for the portion was not bad and the quality was most definitely there! My husband and I ordered take out via Door Dash only to receive one of the two entrees that we paid for. We were craving authentic Indian food and was swayed by the complimentary Yelp reviews. We ordered Lamb Jalfrezi and Lamb Chettinad with two orders of butter naan. The Lamb Chettinad never found its way to us. We paid DD for both entrees and the bread but the restaurant's ticket that was stapled to the bag did not list the missing entree. Apparently there was a breakdown between Authentikka and Door Dash. DD credited us the cost of the missing entree but we'd rathered of had the food. We have never experienced a screw up with a food order from Door Dash, guess there is a first time for everything. The Lamb Jalfrezi was delicious however the meat was poorly trimmed. It had fat and the bones were left in the entree which was annoying and dangerous to eat around. I understand that cooking food on the bone gives it more flavor but for $14 I do not want to be on the look out for bones or have to pick out fat and gristle. The sauce was delicious but after fishing out fat and bones it was not worth $14. We felt ripped off. I may try Authentikka again but not a lamb dish in order to steer clear from the bones. read more

And here we have one of the absolute WINNERS of my recent food explorations. We like this place so much, we may or may not have visited three times in one week. True story. Indian food is one of my all-time favorites. When it is done well, it can be an incredible feast of flavors - and Authentikka fits that bill. The restaurant is a little tucked away in a stripmall, you'd have to know it is here to find it.. or read about it online. If you have a large family or need space for an event, this restaurant has your back. It is quite spacious and has an event space right next door. Of course, my family and friends don't share my obsession with Indian food, so we will just be coming for dinner together. A meal starts with a complimentary basket of fryums which is a fun and munchy snack, and the service here is friendly and prompt. Food wise, we have ordered several things so far and all of them range from great to fantastic; there is not a single thing we've tried that we'd regard as "meh" or worse. Samosa's are always a good idea, so is an order of veg pakora. But, our favorite app is the gobi manchurian; spicy sweet complex crispy cauliflower bites - so addicting. My favorite dish thus far I think is the onion rava masala dosa - the addition of caramelized onion catapults this dosa to another level; it's delicious! Chicken tikka masala is a good standby, but the spicy kadai won my heart. Another really solid dish here is the special (ie. boneless) chicken biryani. The rice is so flavorful, I bet they either cook it in a broth or ladle broth over the rice prior to serving. It isn't plain rice like at some other places. Bread wise, the garlic naan or bullet naan - made with chili's - are tasty. So is the mango lassi drink. If you don't eat Indian food on the regular, or haven't tried it before, Authentikka is a really solid place for a great first impression. If you do eat this cuisine on a regular basis, I am confident that Authentikka will become a new favorite! read more

Spacious restaurant and usually in most Indian restaurants tables will too close and will be difficult while go to get food and here it was not the case. Nice service. Waiters clearing the empty plates and refilling water when needed. Few options in buffet I liked very muchare Garbanzo cutlet, goat curry and chicken biryani.
