Checked this place out on a whim. I actually tried to go before on a random Tuesday and this place was JAM PACKED. Fortunately for this visit, it was not too busy. The place has coffees and lattes, as well as a variety of desserts. The main draw, as you might imagine, is the Chai. They have several types, and the cool thing is they let you sample before you buy. My wife and I ended up splitting the BonBon Chai (caramel flavored), though the tiramisu and amore were a close 2nd and third. They also have flat breads and wraps, though we didn't try any as we had just finished dinner. The staff was super friendly, and there was ample seating. It looks like they also had outdoor seating, though not something we were going to do in January. Very unique chai cafe, they have coffee options as well (an americano). I came here on a Friday around 12:30pm, there was only 1 person working here and the place was moderately busy. Highly recommend!! This place has the most unique and tasty chai I've ever had. You can ask for samples (which I recommend) and they give you little cups with a good amount of the drink to try. The BBQ kati wrap was delicious. Just enough sauce so that it wasn't leaking out and making a mess everywhere (which I love). It was flakey and super filling. There are two public restrooms in the back that are decent. The tables were clean and the vibes were serene. They have an area for a little photo op which is too cute. Had a pleasure of visiting Cups N Chai during summer time, when we were in town to attend a wedding ceremony. It was our first morning there (after a long 11+ overnight drive), and we anxiously wanted to try some pakistani food, as we do not have that many (exciting & yummy) options in NC. Right when you enter, you feel as if you are in Karachi. We were welcomed nicely by the staff at the counter & was given several options to choose from. We only went for Omlette Paratha & Karak chai. Gotta say, that definitely brought up memories of Karachi. We also ended up getting more food & drinks (which unfortunately I do not remember at this time), and everything was super delicious! I am very into their wraps! I like the chicken chutney one a lot but i love the paneer chutney one. The bread is perfect and the sauces are extra perfect. I also like that you can order with custom sugar - i usually like not very much in my tea. There's also a cute little sitting area outside too - I could see myself doing a little thrifting a few doors down then coming over here to enjoy a chao on the patio once its nicer out. CupsnChai in Canton is the kind of spot you walk into once and immediately start planning your next visit. First, the people. The staff could not be kinder. They took the time to talk through the South Asian inspiration behind the menu and their twists on classic dishes. You feel like you are getting a mini food tour with your order and it simply brought me back to my own wonderful memories. The chutney chicken wrap is the star (like 1,000/10). Using flaky paratha as the wrap is absolutely genius. It comes out warm and crisp, with that buttery spiral situation already full of flavor, it would be a best seller on its own. Then you get the bright chutney and a very generous amount of chicken, and suddenly it feels like a full dinner stuffed into a single handheld wrap. Don't let the size fool you, the flavor is so so good. So good. The Bombay masala melt hits just as hard. It's the elevated street sandwich, with chutney giving it a big punch of flavor and just the right level of spice. The crunchy sev on top for texture is an absolute favorite of mine. If they sold bags of it at the counter, I would be all in. The chai lineup is excellent. From masala to karak to peppermint (seasonal favorite of theirs) and cinnamon, the base Assam tea is strong and smooth, balanced with cream and spice the way a seasoned chai walla would do it. The flavor add-ons feel like a bonus, because the core chai already stands so well on its own. The strawberry fields refresher is a fun one. The chia seeds give it a texture that feels like sipping real strawberry bits through the straw, and it tastes bright and refreshing without being overly sweet or tart. The interior is welcoming and clean, the staff are genuinely super friendly, and every item we tried felt thoughtful and well made. Food, drinks, vibes, all of it just hits in all the right ways. I wish I would have found this spot sooner. This is a great little spot that anyone who likes coffee or chai should check out. They were friendly and very accommodating to my need for no sugar. I got a chai flight with their Amore, Dirty Chai, and Masala spice. They were all delicious, but I think the Amore was the winner for me. I chose the Reshmi Kabab wrap and that was the star. The highest praise I can give is "I would come back here" and "I would crave that". Cups N Chai is both of those things and I WILL be back, sooner rather than later. Service was excellent. The gentleman at the counter guided us expertly through the menu , was so kind, and pointed out his favorites, I chose the BBQ Chicken Kati Roll and was able to sample 3 different chais. The roll was soft and savory with the perfect amount of filling and was a great size for a light dinner. I loved everything about the chai and would order the BonBon again in a second. Ok I'm so sad I missed this place so many times. It was everything I needed in a cozy cafe. The staff were nice and helpful in suggestions. The chicken wraps were so delicious. The chutney was very flavorful and the homemade wraps were so flaky and soft. The winner was the amore chai. It's French vanilla flavored but it has a marshmallow taste which is so good. Coffee Lattes are a staple for me but this was my first time with a Chai Latte where I very much enjoyed the experience. My Amore latte was delicious where the drinks was well made, nicely balanced, creamy and very aromatic. The tea where I unfortunately forgot to ask what it was, is very noticeable and forms a nice base for the drink with the Amore flavoring providing a very sweet and dessert like note that makes this drink oh so tasty. It kinds of reminds me of of a great cup of hot cocoa but with a unique flavor twist to the drink. Nice! My Chutney chicken, which was a first for me, was equally delicious where the chicken, chutney, cilantro and onions made for a superior wrap albeit with a kick of spice which was surprising but not too overpowering. I could eat these wraps every day of the week they were that good. Relative to Staff they they were super friendly and provided a nice education of the ethnic background of the food and the drinks which I appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. I only wish this business was in the West Bloomfield area where I live as I would definately be a regular here! There really wasn't much service provided, as we walked in , were not greeted by the worker at the register, and ordered off the auto machine near the register. The food was pricey for what you get, and honestly was not that good. We had a cheese flat bread and a bbq chicken wrap. I took one bite of the bbq chicken wrap and that was all, it had way too much sauce. The berry mojito was just ok, the berry flavor was artificial. This place was a fun surprise! We walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and it was so busy. Loved to see how engaged the community was in a plaza that I wouldn't tag for a lot of traffic. First impressions: They have the menu displayed on a TV behind the counter, but it was so small we couldn't really read it. They have menus available for you to take from the counter and read, but it feels like the TV could be used in a more efficient way. I also think the food descriptions could be tweaked. The description of a Bombay Masalt Melt was "CNC fusion of classic Bombay sandwich." But... what's in a classic Bombay sandwich? Again, these are just little things from a non-Indian customer. We found a table for us to sit, wait, and eat our food. It was a busy time of day, but it really hadn't been cleaned, and there was some sticky residue. However, we did meet the owner (we think?) and he was friendly and welcoming. These things seem like small hiccups that can be easily worked out. We ordered the Karah Chai, the Amore Chai, the Pulled Chicken Melt, and the 2 piece Samosas. Overall, we had a really great experience. The only caveat was that my wimpy spice pallette was definitely sweating from the spice level. Again, I am a wimp. I'm just not sure I could have handled more than half a sandwich. The samosas were a solid choice, but they took awhile to come out, and they were good but not great. I'll absolutely be back to try their other drinks, though we'll see how brave I am to try and order some food again. This place is an otherwise great addition to the community. read more

This is probably closer to 2.5 but I'll round up. I'd been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the opportunity to do so, but was disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype (at least for me). My companion and I did not get any food, and maybe that's a highlight that could've boosted my rating. Seating is limited, sterile feeling, and close together. Outdoor seating wasn't available due to weather, but I could see that as being a nice alternative to indoor. There are a bunch of TV monitors above the register but no menu information there. Instead, you have to work off of printed menus. They've been open too long to not have this worked out. If the plan is to use the TVs for actual viewing, I would still think that odd for a coffee house. However, as it stands, they are just blank TVs hanging on the wall which detract from the decor. We ordered a latte and a masala chai. Service took longer than expected, albeit still friendly. Most importantly, our drinks just weren't that good. The masala Chai needed more warm spices and seemed almost watered down (maybe too much mik?) and my companion said the same about her latte. It would've been nice to get our drinks in a real mug as opposed to a paper cup. I feel like this standard at smaller coffee houses. Wish this establishment the best, but I don't know that I'll return. read more

We ordered achari chicken ( amazing) Manchurian wrap ( okay) plus the paratha was way too roasted/burnt for my liking. Bombay sandwich ( okay). Samosa definitely seemed like they were frozen, as a previous restaurant owner you can tell the difference. Raj kachori was good. Shirley temple was good, mango tango was decent. Overall I think it's a great concept of what's going on. I would have expected fresh samosa and chai. Service was slow but it was also Tuesday 3pm so that was expected. It was super sweet I thought! We ordered the sandwich, chai and zeera soda - all of them were yummy and reminded us of Bombay The service was super fast. What's even lovely is that this is a family owned cafe and the father of the owner came to greet us with a cupcake for my husband! The staff was super attentive while I decided what I wanted. I got a dirty chai and a rose petal cake. Super fast service. The dirty chai is perfect - exactly what I wanted on a chilly, gray day.
