Stopped in on a Wednesday around 7:30pm. We were able to grab 2 seats right at the bar. The entire place upon entry is very pretty looking and clean. The bartenders were friendly and quick. They have a QR code for their menu. I ordered a glass of cava and my sister ordered this really pretty cucumber cocktail that she said was good. Everything was fairly priced. We didn't order any food while we were there but saw hummus and veggies that came out and looked good. I will definitely be back. read more

We stopped by on Friday night but the only space there was was a small standing room only spot. We got a drink somewhere else and came back and managed to grab spots with seats at the window which made for great people watching. The inside was kind of overwhelming with the noise and the amount of people. There's a few seats at the window, a bar, and a few tables in the back. The drinks themselves are complex and amazing. I found this really cool place while strolling through Lawrencville for the first time in ages. The decor is bright and welcoming. It is a very open space and there is even window to the street that lets in air and light. There are a ton of unique drink options and a small list of bites to go with them. I love that they have a "bartenders choice" option where you tell the bartender what your likes, dislikes and tastes are and they create something for you. I will definitely need to try that on a future visit. This time, I tried the cool handed cuke because I am a sucker for anything cucumber. It was flavorful and a perfect spring/summer drink. It didn't taste overly strong which craft cocktails sometimes can. I sat at the bar and service was attentive but not over the top. They knew I came alone but weren't weird about it (you'd be surprised how many places think it is the strangest thing that you would drink or dine somewhere alone). I'd love to come back here with some girlfriends or even as a date night with my husband. read more

I came here with girlfriends on a really lovely, temperate Monday evening. We definitely didn't expect it to be as busy as it was, but alas. We were seated right away and were brought water pretty promptly. The menu is eclectic and fun and boasts of something for everyone (mezcal & gin girl over here). I started with the Dainty Dame and will be honest that it wasn't my favorite, but was drinkable. I also had Da Rockwilder, which I liked much better! Met friends here around 6pm. Street parking is available, but leave a little extra time to find a spot. The vibe is light and bright. Casual and modern. There is both bar and table seating. We had a group of eight and had a table in the back. The drinks are creative, strong, and fresh. There is truly something for everyone (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, wine, beer lovers). I ordered the White Whale and loved it. Our table ordered nearly one of everything on the menu and gave kudos to the drink quality all around. Service was very good. Waters were filled. I've been to Bar Botanico many times, and it's always one of my favorite spots. I absolutely love the vibe and how clean and inviting the inside feels. One of the best features is the garage door that opens when it's warm outside--it gives the whole place such a great atmosphere. I also love the green vines throughout the space and the funny dog portraits, which add so much character. The drinks have always been good. I usually order an espresso martini with tequila, which I really enjoy. This time I decided to try something different, and while it was definitely a little odd, it was still good for one drink. The only downside this visit was when I tried to order another drink with a different fruit mixer, the bartender let us know that the cocktails are premixed now, which was a bit of a bummer. We have been very pleased with kitchen offerings the few times we have indulged. We have found front of house team to be relentlessly gracious even when slammed. I honestly love the ambiance and staff at bar botanico. I love how laid back the vibes are. Also, whenever I'm indecisive, I ask the bartenders to make me a drink to fit my mood, and they always craft the most delicious concoctions! Both of the gin martinis (which are sometimes hard to find) were delectable in their own very distinct right - one being fruit forward and one being more herbal, oily. I would give this place a 0 if I could. Don't go if you are with a group. We went in with 12 people on a Saturday night. There's maybe 20-30 people in there. We all go to the bar to order a drink. We're all going to drink pay our own ways but the bartender "Ozzie" said after I ordered two miller lights that I would have to start a check for the whole party of 12. We couldn't not all just pay separately. Acting like we were sitting down at Texas road house. You are a bar and we're a group of friends at A BAR but he couldn't handle ringing us up separately even though we came in different groups and other of the group already paid. But no "Ozzie" had to be a tough guy and not let us order unless one person held the tab for the whole group. Can't wait for this place to collapse for terrible employees. I wanted to like this place way more than I did, trust me! Upon walking in no one greeted us or even walked over to the bar area that is facing the street for a good 10 minutes until I walked up to the bartender and asked for some service. The guy who waited on us was weird af and awkward af and was kinda rude to my gf when she asked about the drinks, but she asked me to not say anything after he walked away because she knows how I am. That is weird to me considering he is a bartender and his job is service and to be extra nice and extra understanding in regards to what's on the menu if someone has a question. Smdh! The other lady bartender who brought us our drinks was amazing, super nice, friendly and explained what she brought us. I made sure to walk up and tip her good after that. The drinks were amazing, actually some of the best I've ever had and the interior is super chic and everyone there looked happy, but the initial service we received or lack there of was horrendous considering what I paid and still tipped. I'll give them another shot the next time I'm in town to see how the service is then. read more
