We also really liked the location Pop's is in, right by the river with the babbling water going by. We were seated in a reasonable time, and didn't even really have a chance to go look at the glass blowing that was taking place in the other half of the building. We did get a chance after our meal, though. Looking through the menu, we went for some smoked wings and a couple of other barbecue choices. It turned out that the best item on the menu was the mac and cheese, which had a gorgeous garlic flavor to it. Everything else was quite good as well, though it turns out my mother is not keen on the smoked wings. No regrets, just not something she would order again. All in all a great meal, and we would definitely recommend and return.

My order came out incorrect, ordered a three meat platter with two sides and was delivered a brisket plate. Missing the ribs and smoked sausage. My wife's wing platter was overcooked and the wings were dried out. For the fact that there was hardly any customers at the noon hour I would have expected better service and better quality food. The restaurant was clean and fairly quiet and we enjoyed the Creekside view.

We split an order od Southwestern Egg Rolls which were served very hot with our chosen aioli sauce. We also split a very good, large and beautifully presented Lobster Roll at a bargain price. Most items served here are house made including the fries, lobster salad, and some deluxe desserts. The manager, Lisa, took time to answer our questions and explained the finer points of the venue including their offering of live rock and roll entertainment on Saturday nights. They have a small but cool outdoor seating area overlooking the Smoky Mountains. Would definitely recommend to any passersbys.

Truly some of the best I've ever had. They make the meatballs and sauce fresh every morning. You can tell there's a lot of love that goes into it. We also had our dog with us and they were so accommodating. There were plenty of outdoor spots to sit and even two indoor tables for people with pets. Since it was so sunny out it was nice we could sit inside with our dog. That's rare and really nice to have on hot days. This place deserves to be on drivers diners and dives!! Guy Ferri has to come check em out!

I can only imagine this place is hopping during the summer months, or during the winter when the Cataloochee ski run is open. The restaurant was sold sometime this year to some cousins from Nepal of all places, and they are two of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet! If they keep that up, they will fit in nicely here in North Carolina! Brickhouse has a nice vibe to it, with the feel of an old pizza joint or something, and soft classic rock playing overhead. We saw a few Uber eats and a DoorDash guys coming and going, so I am sure the locals will take advantage of that as well. I was with my wife and MIL, and two of us got a burger -- which actually had double patties, a nice touch -- and one the chicken club. I personally ordered the sunny side up burger with fries, and I was not disappointed. The burger itself was very flavorful, cooked to the right temp, and had four pieces of some delicious, crispy bacon on top, along with a fried egg! And the crinkle fries that come with it or plentiful, with a nice crisp on the outside and soft inside. Classic! The chicken club sandwich that was ordered was a surprise, as my MIL did not realize it was a crispy chicken sandwich at first, but was happy with how moist the fried chicken breast was. As I said, the two cousins from Nepal are super, super friendly, and I would definitely take the time to chat with them if they aren't too busy -- which I am sure they will be during high season. I would have loved to taste the pizza or a calzone, so we will have to come back for that next time. They carry Pepsi products from the fountain, and my only disappointment was that they didn't have Pepsi zero and only had diet Pepsi or unsweet tea has a low carb option. We will be back!

I ordered the hot honey chicken tacos (with grilled chicken), and they absolutely delivered. The flavor balance was spot-on--sweet, savory, and just enough heat to keep things interesting without overpowering the dish. Every bite felt intentional and well-executed. The wait staff were also genuinely friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. This is one of those places where the kitchen is clearly the focus, and it shows. If you care more about what's on your plate than what's on the walls, Fuego is 100% worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.

When we called, we were told no wait which was both a huge green flag but also a red flag.. we came here and are so glad we did! (Later on I overhead they had a wait because the kitchen started to back up, so we just got lucky!). This place is pretty tiny, but our party of 6 was promptly seated. They serve a pretty decent selection of beers as well as THC beverages (not for me). They have a wide variety of food available. I got the Nashville Honey Hot chicken tacos. I usually NEVER get chicken tacos because I think that they're dry and inferior to beef -- but I was intrigued. These were the best chicken tacos I have ever had in my life. Full stop. Need the recipe. Got it with an Apple and Daikon salad which was good. Rest of the party got an assortment of chicken, fish and Bang Bang shrimp but I only had eyes for those chicken tacos. One member of our party thought the fish he had been served was not red snapper but another variety such as tilapia -- he's a fishing guide down in Florida so I will deferred to him, but if there was some tom foolery with fish its hard to tell if it was the restaurant's fault or the supply chain -- he said it was good either way. Street corn was good, pork bowl was outstanding, fried okra good etc. My Mom insisted on paying when the time came and accidentally forgot her card at the restaurant. We called the restaurant at 11pm, we'll past closing and someone answered. When we told them we needed to come pick it up because they were closed Monday when my Mom flew out, they said it was fine to come pick it up. The owner walked her card out to us (apparently she also cooks and helps clean up; a great owner operator!). Great experience, would go back again. Great food, good people.
