Traveling through on our motorcycles, coming off a 300-mile day, we arrived in Maggie Valley for the night. On our way in we spotted this place and thought we'd give them a shot. Taylor was great, the food was excellent (twisted chicken salad w/ avocado lime ranch dressing). Plus you can't beat the view!

Walked in and knew we already liked the place, live music! The view was beautiful, service was excellent, and food was so yummy. This is a place where no one is a stranger. We chatted with other customers, met the owners, and our waitress was just wonderful! We have found a new fav! The caramelized onion sauce with sweet potato fries is just the best!!!

Get a table in the back and around 5pm you may very well see some elk like we did (See pics). Even if you don't, the view is worth the price of your food and drinks! Try the quesadillas! 3% discount on your bill for cash payments.

Onion rings, twisted chicken hoagie, Italian sausage hoagie.

Awesome food, make sure to get some of their house made ranch or aioli! My server was super nice and gave great service! Also the view?! Insane.

    Great views from Twisted Spike!

This place was great owner & staff are super friendly. We stopped here after golf and will be back.

Second time in 2 days. The lobster rolls are just amazing. The rosemary fries are also a must. If you're anywhere near, treat yourself.

We are up for a week from the Tampa Bay area, and we usually come during the summer months. It's…read morenice to be up here during the late fall, when it's a lot less crowded. I can only imagine this place is hopping during the summer months, or during the winter when the Cataloochee ski run is open. The restaurant was sold sometime this year to some cousins from Nepal of all places, and they are two of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet! If they keep that up, they will fit in nicely here in North Carolina! Brickhouse has a nice vibe to it, with the feel of an old pizza joint or something, and soft classic rock playing overhead. We saw a few Uber eats and a DoorDash guys coming and going, so I am sure the locals will take advantage of that as well. I was with my wife and MIL, and two of us got a burger -- which actually had double patties, a nice touch -- and one the chicken club. I personally ordered the sunny side up burger with fries, and I was not disappointed. The burger itself was very flavorful, cooked to the right temp, and had four pieces of some delicious, crispy bacon on top, along with a fried egg! And the crinkle fries that come with it or plentiful, with a nice crisp on the outside and soft inside. Classic! The chicken club sandwich that was ordered was a surprise, as my MIL did not realize it was a crispy chicken sandwich at first, but was happy with how moist the fried chicken breast was. As I said, the two cousins from Nepal are super, super friendly, and I would definitely take the time to chat with them if they aren't too busy -- which I am sure they will be during high season. I would have loved to taste the pizza or a calzone, so we will have to come back for that next time. They carry Pepsi products from the fountain, and my only disappointment was that they didn't have Pepsi zero and only had diet Pepsi or unsweet tea has a low carb option. We will be back!

I don't know what was wrong with that guy, but as a writer and a human, I can assure you that no matter what you do, you can never make everyone happy all the time. That's why it's best to just be authentically you. I got a little off-topic there. What I saying was ... the only negative reviews are for long wait times for takeout or if the dining-in crowd thinks the takeout orders have taken priority over their food. It has nothing to do with the quality of the food. I dined-in and sat outside. The wait times for food were right on the money. I didn't feel rushed and it didn't take too long. I could enjoy my meal and the experience. I have been to Frankie's across the street and had two meals there: Chicken Parm and the Spaghetti & Meatballs. The Chicken Parm was much stronger than the Spaghetti & Meatballs. So when comparing the two Chicken Parm dishes, they are equal but polar opposites. Frankie's is a fancier place with all the bells and whistles. It's a great vibe but also a little expensive. The Chicken Parm is thicker and you get a side of pasta but have to pay for the salad. At Bizzarro, the Chicken Parm is a much thinner cut but still a large portion, you can get angel hair pasta (a rare treat), and you don't have to pay for the salad. For bread, you get traditional at Frankie's and garlic knots at Bizzaro's. I'm not a huge fan of garlic but during this meal, I realized I like garlic knots if I eat them upside down. As for vibe/atmosphere, at Bizzaro, I walked through the little service area to get to the outdoor tables. As I ate, there were parked cars right there, someone mowing a lawn in the distance, and the TV was on from the service area. I would usually not like these things, but I loved it here. It completely fit the vibe of feeling at home and just chilling on the deck. Add the friendly staff and you will feel very welcomed. While the Chicken Parms are different yet equal, Bizzaro's definitely wins for value as you get similar portions plus a salad at a much lower price. I'm glad I found Bizzaro's and I have added it as a go-to when in town. I'll still hit Frankie's too, but maybe Bizarro more often. It always depends on the second visit. I didn't try the pizza yet but I'm sure it's good. The only negative here is the awkward and small parking lot but no big deal. Highly recommended!
