This was our first time at this location. We have been to the Dillsboro previously and loved it so…read morewe thought we'd give this location a try and what a great choice that was!! It doesn't look big on the outside but inside it set up to hold tons of tables. They do over take out as well so you can call ahead and for pick up or come in and order to go. We were able to be seated immediately around 1 pm on Saturday. Our waitress came right over to give us the specials and see if we had ever been before or had any questions on the sauces. We placed our food order and it wasn't too long until the we had the best smells right in front of us! I had the special, brisket tacos and he had the brisket sandwich! Every bite was tender and delicious!! Portion sizes were good and prices were decent. If you love tender and delicious BBQ then absolutely stop here!! If not move along and the leave the goods for the rest of us!

There was plenty of meat in the sandwich. The mac & cheese was good but nothing to write home about. The sandwich came on toast. The bread wasn't "Texas toast". However, to make up for it, they had multiple flavors of bbq sauce. I really enjoyed the strawberry chipotle and the sweet red sauce.

We stopped in during the mini truck nationals and snagged a window seat to watch the trucks cruise by. The food was delicious! I ordered the half chicken with mashed potatoes, pinto beans and cornbread. The chicken was definitely the best part. Finger licking good! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

We are staying about 30 minutes away for vacation and we decided to go check out Maggie Valley and…read morewhile at a store we asked a local where to go for lunch. The lady stated that Maggie Valley restaurant has some of the best homemade cooking so we opted to go here. Top of their list was their famous homemade fried chicken. It wasn't famous or homemade, it was frozen and unseasoned. They only sell it as a half chicken dinner for $23-24 I can't remember exactly what the price but it was between that amount. No substitutions on the pieces so for that price I ate the wing and breast and left the leg and thigh on the plate. The macaroni and cheese were not good at all. The fried okra and mashed potatoes were pretty good. I got the last biscuit they had and while it had good flavor it was rock hard. My mom got the catfish dinner and she said it was okay, they brought her frozen solid cocktail sauce. The coleslaw she had to add some sugar to it but then said it was good. The other person got a club sandwich which was huge and he said it was okay, the bacon was really good. Sweet tea was delicious. Service was slow and robotic. I noticed that the other tables around us were complaining about their food/quality.
