Where we were seated in a large tent outside and had some of the best 'cue I've had in western NC. Don't be dissuaded by the old house vibe. It's tight inside but if the weather is good, head outdoors. First, pulled pork (standard for me) was moist with plenty of bark and good smoke. Brisket is served with both fat/lean together and had great texture and flavor. Housemade sauces include lexington style dip, eastern NC vinegar and SC mustard. All were very good. Baked beans were excellent and collards with big brisket chunks were very good (could be cooked a bit longer). Staff is quick to joke, super fast on the service and lots of fun. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and I'll wear mu Haywood t-shirt down east to rep! Stop by their other location in Dillsboro; either is a solid choice for great barbecue.
