    Pork belly Bao

We were staying at this hotel for a couple of days so it was convenient to eat at! The restaurant is located on the top of the hotel 17th floor. There is a express elevator that goes straight from the fresh floor to the top which is very convenient. You seat yourself. There's a beautiful view being it's on the top of the hotel in the day. The weather is nice in the evening gets a little bit of chill a light jacket would be good. The service is OK. We ate there twice this week. The first night, the waitress forgot about our food so we waited maybe an hour. The flavors to the food was savory that I'm from Hawaii. I love Japanese food.. There is a spicy to the food which is not too hot, but bareable spice. My second visit the food came out in a reasonable time about 20 minutes that the flavor is good. The Korean fried chicken was hot & crispy! Overall, it's a four star restaurant. They do have a variety of food for kids and adult and they can enjoy the beautiful view.

Rooftop bar at the Aventura Hotel. Great views and great cocktails. It's open air so when the weather is nice, it's great to be up here.

It's 3 stars and I would still recommend. We decided to check out this rooftop bar after a day of travel into Orlando. We were looking forward to watching some fireworks and got to enjoy the evenings views. If it's not more stars, it's because they could do more. Service feels, though friendly, it feels phoned in. The food is satisfactory, nothing to complain about but also nothing that wows. For a more fulfilling meal get the ribs, it comes with rice! The ambiance is a bit lackluster; it feels like they fumbled what could be a lively and energetic rooftop bar/restaurant/lounge. Given we just wanted a few bites and a few drinks with a chance to watch fireworks it met our needs, thus, I would recommend to fellow tourists/fellow hotel guests - we were across the street and it wasnt out of the way.

Came here for a birthday celebration. The views from the rooftop is a vibe and the drinks are on point as well. Our server made sure everything came out on time, and it was overall a good experience. Will definitely be back!

I've been back since my first visit and I cannot wait to return! This bar is BEAUTIFUL. The fans are placed thoughtfully for a comfortable outdoor experience PERFECT for sunset cocktails. I had the Bistro 17 burger (both times‍) highly recommend. The staff is casual but thoughtful. I'm in love.

I have been a few times and adding to - I do find the servers friendly, the view outstanding and the overall vibe relaxing and enjoyable. I was a bit disappointed by the change in menu. We went back last night to get a meal we really loved and found we no longer could order it due to menu change. The last time I went my husband and I discovered the egg noodle stir fry and added a medium rare steak. That was one of the best meals I had had and was very disappointed to see such a good option removed. Will we go back - yes, for the view and drinks but no, for the food.

Came here to check out the view and a few drinks! I love that you get a 360 view of Orlando, and can even see some of the theme park spots near by. Definitely would be cool to see at night when the Disney fireworks are going off! The drinks were alright. We tried one of their menu items the Foggy Sunset and a house margarita. I liked that they used fresh juice in the margarita versus a sour mix! We didn't try the food on this visit but the menu did look good. The service was also really good. Very attentive and friendly!

I'm only giving 5 stars for the views -talk about ambiance-and service however the food has changed and was not impressive this visit...I've gone a few times and really enjoyed the burger and their wings however the food was not good -the burger was overcooked and dry and tasteless but i was in a rush and just ate it...definitely visit for the sunsets and the firework views ...its absolutely gorgeous to grab drinks and hang out..they really need better furniture options however it's a rooftop view of so many great things -just go!!!! They're only open 5pm-12am and watch out for closings for private events !

Amazing service!! Our server was kind, attentive, and high spirited. We also had the bao buns which were delicious and what a beautiful view! I will be returning for live music on the weekends

Baos (only ok) and brussel sprouts in the back (yum!)
    Jennifer H.

This a composite score for experience and food. If I rated on food alone, I would probably give it 3.5 stars. I ordered brussel sprouts, 3 baos, and Parmesan fries to share. The brussel sprouts were tasty! They came with a lovely sauce and were nicely cooked. The baos were only ok, nothing to write home about. We got the pork belly, braised short rib, and jackfruit. The pork belly was our favorite followed by jackfruit, and then braised short rib. To be honest, they could be more flavorful overall. I also found the jackfruit to be too sweet. Their flavors also didn't really read Asian to me. To be fair, I live in Southern California where we have delicious authentic cuisine from a variety of Asian countries, so I also understand I'm more particular about these flavors. I personally wouldn't order them again; I also found $18 for 3 to be quite steep. On the other hand, the fries were tasty with a very generous portion! I enjoyed the creamy dipping sauce that came with them. I would get them again. The only thing that would make them better is if they had garlic (and/or truffle oil) on them. I also loved the ambiance! It is up on the 17th floor of Aventura and has awesome views (especially of Volcano Bay). If you time it right, you can also see the fireworks at Walt Disney World in the distance. The service was also good; the server was friendly though it did take a bit for the food to come out. Just for the view and experience alone, I would visit here again.

ventura hotel roof top! 17th floor :) Janelle was our server on a nice night a night so clear i even seen a shooting star. Make sure it's good weather bc the night before it was closed due to high winds. We ordered the halibut crudo, Korean gojuchung platter, and it was paired w the lychee dream. Delish! Fast and clean area! Second time I visited was the night after and I was still in love if not more! They had a one man band playing up beat happy music, he was great on his guitar! He even took my song request! I ordered the chicken wings app and soul train drink! Wings were so good I could have ordered another bc it was so juicy not too spicy and crispy but I had dinner right before and just needed a snack. I did however order two soul trains! So yummy! Barbie was my waitress and she was the sweetest I wish I could have taken her back w me to my home town bar! View looks over the whole city 360, it's beautiful, the vibe is romantic fun and I would def recommed roof top bar! Bistro bar 17 is the best from the Korean food to the vibes to the service :) top to bottom! 10 out of 10!

That was my birthday cake from our server Jenine! She was great

Bar 17 Bistro at top of the Aventura hotel
    Kirk B.

Service was so-so here at the bar area seating area, but the food wasn't bad and the view is great since you can see all around the immediate area. There are also plenty of tables throughout the entire rooftop. The menu options appear to rotate here, so be be prepared to order a different item if you see something for a previous picture that is no longer available. For example, fried rice wasn't on the evening we stopped in. This is a great option to catch happy hour too if you are staying at The Aventura Hotel or one of the sister properties across the street.

I was making ok time but when I got into the lobby I knew I only had 15 minutes to spare. And there was a long line to check in. When I finally checked in I only had minutes left. I walked up the busy evening bar with little to no hope. And yet one of the busy bartenders saw me and said they had last call already, but they would get me for one. Halleluiah. One martini later and I was ready to wander to our room. The Swizzle is retro, brightly lit, and especially friendly. Looking forward to stopping in again soon.

However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.

The atmosphere was lively and fun...definitely a great spot if you're looking for upbeat brunch energy. We started with the deviled eggs, and those did not disappoint. The menu didn't list bacon, and even after our server double-checked to confirm it wouldn't come with bacon, the burger still came out topped with it. While mistakes happen, it was frustrating having to wait for the order to be remade while the rest of the table was already eating. I ordered the Fruity Pebbles chicken and waffles for my daughter. It was okay, but definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken itself was coated in cereal and then topped with syrup, which made the whole dish very sweet overall -- just a bit underwhelming for us. On a positive note, the kids' portions were great. The mac and cheese and chicken tenders were both solid and generously portioned. Overall, the food was a bit underwhelming for the price point, but I'd probably give it another try...if only for the Maui Mimosa. That drink alone might bring us back.
