Food: This is an eatery located in Industry City behind Sunrise Mart. The entrance is a bit hidden behind another restaurant. Their menu includes soup dumplings, small dishes, noodles, and rice dishes. They also have a boba milk tea and drink menu. I tried the jasmine milk tea, but it was disappointing. The tea lacked any flavor, and the entire drink just tasted very watered down. I likely will not return to this place because everything seems very mediocre. Baolala is a must visit restaurant in Industry City. The food has exceeded all expectations. Pork soup dumplings 5/5! Juicy tasty.. Thousand pork burger 10/5 lol The sauce inside is everything. The pork is tender and juicy..loved it so much Braised beef soup 5/5. Rich broth! Lots of meat and veggies inside. Super filling. I wasn't crazy about their boba..it was ok. But I generally prefer fruit teas so I have a specific taste. I saw they have a sunny side up matcha. Looked cool but it was late in the day for me to have caffeine so sadly I had to pass. Hopefully next time! I do think their ordering system lacks. You order on your phone and they bring you the food. The menu isn't descriptive so there's a surprise element to what you're getting. They make your food to order! When my Pork Thousand Burger came it was nicely presented on a plate that looked like it was cast iron but no, it was plastic! I'm disappointed to be writing this because the drinks are good, the food looks great, and I work in Industry City, so this could have been a regular spot for me. I spent nearly $25 on lunch ($15 for the noodles and $8 for the tea) I had literally just purchased the tea and, within seconds of stepping outside to sit down, accidentally spilled it all over myself. I immediately went back in, hoping the staff would offer to replace or even just offer a napkin (really anything). As someone who works in customer service, that's something I consider basic customer care, especially when a customer has just made a sizable purchase. It's also something I've experienced at many other establishments. I understand that spilling was technically my fault, and I would understand if I had drank some of it and came back much later asking for a replacement. But this happened within seconds of the purchase. The staff member told me that if I had spilled it inside, she would have refilled it for free, but because I spilled it outside, ( in their outdoor seating area!) it was now my responsibility. She eventually reluctantly agreed to refill it, but would only fill it halfway. I found this extremely odd and tactless. It's not even about the drink, it's about good customer service, basic kindness, and making customers feel valued, especially when they're spending their hard-earned money with you. Since this is a new business, I think this is important feedback for management. As someone who works in industry city doing customer service, this is not how you attract customers or encourage them to come back. I would have genuinely liked to spend my money here regularly. I hope this was a one-time issue and that management takes it into consideration for future customers. I frequent industry city and had been coming in here weekly for bubble tea, until last week I stopped by for my weekly fix and not that it was the biggest deal but the cashier that also makes the drinks drank out of the milk gallon. The Lactaid whole milk, gallon milk carton. Granted -- I will give him this, assuming it is the end of the milk gallon since he put it to his mouth at a vertical angle.. but something about him doing this right before making my drink just seemed a little unhygienic to me. I came here on the grand opening with a friend. It's located in the Industry City Courtyard 3/4 near Japan Village. It's a bit difficult to find since there's no sign. They have drinks from uluhuluh and Chinese dishes like soup dumplings, noodles, rice bowls, etc. You order at the cashier and they bring the order to your table. I ordered the baolala dry noodles (braised pork, tofu, corn, egg, chinese pickled vegetables, green onion) and my friend ordered the dan dan noodles (ground pork sauce, egg, green onion). The portions were quite large. The noodles were delicious and was only a bit spicy. The staff were very nice. I wasn't that hungry so I definitely have to come back to try the soup dumplings!
