Ming Mun is attempting to be so many things for the folks in need of good Chinese food in the neighborhood. They are offering dim sum, and peking duck, and General Tso's chicken lunch specials, and much, much more. They have so many menus, and so many dumplings. The interior is slightly altered from the most recent tenant (Dimmer & Summer), with the addition of white table cloths, and a slightly more upscale feel. We've come in a few times for dim sum, and there's a lot to like on the menu. The rice rolls, dumplings, pork buns and more will hit the spot, although I'd avoid the soup dumplings (AKA juicy pork buns); it doesn't seem to be their specialty, and the wrappers are a bit too dense for my taste (head up toward downtown Brooklyn for some better options there). I like the garlicky cucumbers as a side for any and all meals, and the crispy garlic spareribs are a winner if you don't mind all the bones (not my wife's jam). If you're looking for the standard fare like General Tso's chicken, it's fine, but it won't blow your mind (and personally, I'm not into the chicken and corn soup that comes with the lunch special, but that's not their fault, I just don't love the gelatinous texture prized by many Chinese). The mapo tofu was not the best I've had so will probably skip next time. The sesame chicken was pretty good and the double cooked pork was ok.
