I have eaten at Baoding a handful of times in the past few years. I've always enjoyed the food and occasional cocktail. Today at lunchtime I was very disappointed. I asked if they had crab rangoons. The waitress pointed to the wontons. 10.00. I was served tea and water and the wontons arrived quickly. I think there were eight. I ate a few but noticed there was little to no filling in each wonton. I mentioned this to the waitress politely and she said she'd bring two more. They were the same. My bill arrived. 15.00. I'm not sure what else I was charged for. I think it might be for the two "extra" wontons that I expected would be complimentary. I tipped the waitress 20%. Very disappointing to pay that much for a very poor lunch.

First time dining in at Baoding and it didn't disappoint! The service was prompt and good. I wish the fried rice was more "fried" but other than that everything was good.

Chicken fried rice and tofu and veggie soup

2026 Mar 30 Mon: 1) chicken fried rice 2) veggie and tofu soup The fried rice is well cooked with Wok Hei. Soup is just nice and no salty. The cooks are from Malaysia and Taiwan.

The food, service and ambiance here were excellent! There is a large menu with many options. I had the Sesame Tofu and it was delicious! The portions are big.

I visited the restaurant with some friends for dinner. Service was efficient and cordial. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I found the food to be just okay. It took me a while to decide what to order. I finally selected the Hibachi Trio with chicken, shrimp, and beef over veggies (onions, mushrooms, broccoli,, and carrots), with shrimp sauch on the side. I give this dish a 6/10. For my cocktail, I ordered the Chinese Fire Cracker (Grey Goose, Alize Red Passion w/Cranberry juice. I give this drink a 10/10. I won't mind another visit and will order something more traditional.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Charlotte Beijing duck Haven't tried many duck places, but it's hard to find Beijing Peking duck anywhere. Baoding's decent overall, it still has the crisp and juice String beans with pork The best dish of the night Sizzling Beef Decent balance of sweet spicy and sour Mooshoo Decent, good flavor

Wow! Boading is incredible. Easy to see why they've been around for over 30 years. The service was easily the fastest I've ever had! The dumplings were amazing and large! Tons of meat in them and perfect temperature. The Beef Chow Foon was also so good and flavorful. TONS of beef included and a large portion that doesn't break the bank. Highly recommend and I will be back.

Dinner at Baoding was very enjoyable. We had cocktails, veggie rolls, and sesame chicken.the portions are large and shareable (and still took home leftovers). Maye was our server and she had the best smile. She was very good to make suggestions. We will come back when we are in Charlotte again.

A very colorful eclectic atmosphere at Baoding restaurant in charlotte.

Taipei Express has become one of my go-to takeout spots when I've had a long day and don't feel…read morelike cooking. The portions here are very generous, and everything is made to order, which I appreciate. It's not the most authentic Taiwanese or Chinese food--it's definitely geared toward local tastes--but it still hits the spot for a quick and satisfying meal. I usually add a little chili crunch or chili oil to give the dishes the extra heat I'm looking for. The pan-fried dumplings are a highlight. They take about 20 minutes to prepare, but you can tell they're made fresh and cooked properly. As someone still searching for the perfect potsticker in Charlotte after moving from the San Francisco Bay Area, these are solid and definitely worth ordering. Parking is probably the biggest challenge here. The restaurant sits off a busy street and the small lot in front only has a handful of spaces, so it can require some patience (and sometimes creativity) to find a spot. Insider tip: Try going earlier or later in the day to avoid the parking headache during peak lunch or dinner hours. Overall, it's a great value for generous portions, quick service, and reliable takeout. The staff is efficient and they've never gotten my order wrong, which keeps me coming back.

So sorry that our first experience with you did not go well, but here is why…read more It was take-away. We both ordered combinations of meats with veggies. Won Ton soup, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce and Shrimp with mixed vegetables. The soup was flavorless and the won tons stuffing was not identifiable. In some won tons it was a square-shaped and somewhat stringy. In other cases it might have been chicken or pork...it was hard to identify as they were both tasteless. Sorry to say that both of us, after a few bites and prior to even opening the steamed rice containers, looked at each other and asked: "are you going to eat yours?" We both found the combos flavorless mush. Even the vegetables seemed to be mushy and over cooked. Something is wrong, as we both enjoy Chinese foods and frequently visit many of those around us. Yes, we will try some of the offered Taipei Express combinations, later. But for now we will order select items to try them before re-entering combination land.
