After many years of migraines that were getting worse (among other symptoms), 3 years ago I heeded…read morethe recommendation of a friend to make an appointment with Yvette. I was impressed from the first visit with the careful, thoughtful attention she gives to what I am saying while mentally noting what she observes from her holistic approach. Her desire for her patients to improve is quite apparent...she seems to be constantly evaluating, assessing, making adjustments in treatment to yield the best results. Another reviewer said this: "She was on an all-out mission to eradicate the source of my condition." And I can't say it better myself. Within a short time migraine frequency and duration began to lessen...which is amazing as nothing else had worked to truly lessen them since they began in 1997. And other symptoms have improved as well :) In addition to sharing her expertise in acupuncture, Yvette has great knowledge of nutrition, herbs, cycles in the body...I could go on...This has been my first experience with acupuncture and I knew nothing about it prior. I recommend Yvette all the time. I am sure there are other good acupuncturists but I never tell someone they should "try acupuncture" I tell them they should see Yvette.

Yvette treated my chronic migraines with both acupuncture and herbal prescriptions, greatly reducing my pain and frequency. She was also the only medical practitioner who could solve a months-long acid reflux episode (despite the gastroenterologist having previously told me I would have reflux for life!) The only reason I no longer see Yvette is I have moved out of Rhode Island, but I make an appointment whenever I am back in town! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Frodermann is a naturopathic physician. They look at the whole body, how each body system…read moreinteracts with the others and treat with non-invasive, holistic modalities. For example, I had historically been low in vitamin D. My 'traditional' MD/ PCP kept telling me to 'take more vitamin D' like I was forgetting to do so. I was not forgetting, and was taking so much vitamin D on a daily basis, one of my family members mentioned you can actually overdose on vitamin D. This comment gave me pause to think about exactly how well, or unwell, my healthcare really was and began my search for a new health care provider. On my very first consultation with Dr. Frodermann, she knew exactly why I was always low on vitamin D, added a natural supplement to assist with absorption to my daily vitamin routine, and I have never been low on vitamin D since! All those years of 'take more!' was never going to fix the issue. I should have come to Dr. Frodermann sooner. This is just one example of how Dr. Frodermann has changed my health, and therefore my life. It is a health journey and she is an advocate helping to figure out what is needed to stay in good health as we age. I'm definitely not one to 'pop a pill' for what ails me. I'd much rather adjust my diet, add an exercise, take Epsom salt baths, make bone broth or use a caster oil pack for example if that is what it takes to feel good. I had searched the internet for years looking for ways to feel better. It's so much easier to meet with Dr. Frodermann, having the benefit of her wisdom and experience to point you in the right direction. The office offers high quality supplements and the prices are very competitive. At present all consultations are via tele-med (Skype for example) in order to keep everyone safe and supplement pick up is no-contact. Office hours are limited, and by appointment only. Give them a call, or send them an email. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In the state of RI, naturopaths are not covered by insurance although they are licensed by the state and the RI association of Naturopathic physicians is trying to arrange insurance coverage (You can check out https://www.rianp.org/ to find out how that process is going). In the mean time, if you wish to see a naturopath in RI, it is out of pocket. If you are not getting results from your PCP, are tired of always being tired, or just not feeling like anything you have tried is working, maybe it's time you add a naturopath to your health care family. I did and I will never look back!
