Most recently, I was in excruciating and physically debilitating pain that required me to go to the ER; after 6 hours of waiting and a CAT scan I was still unable to be seen by the physician and was given a shot of Teradol because of the extreme and intense nature of my pain levels. I couldn't lay-down without tears rolling down my cheeks and physical assistance, I could barely walk pausing and pushing through each painful movement. Sitting required that I had to be leaning on my right side for momentary comfort. I called Dr. Anania's office after being discharged with tears looking to schedule an appointment hoping that someone would be able to help, her wonderful lighthearted and kind staff found me a slot to come in that day. Dr. Anania's care and concern moved me, not only did she take the time to educate and inform me of what was the issue, she got to work on me immediately. I was in complete agony (even haven already taken 800mg. of Acetaminophen 2hrs prior to be able to get to the appointment). She came up with a plan of care, she demonstrated superior intellect as well as empathy I was able to walk out in an upright position that same day. The next day I had more movement and less pain. Each appointment that followed was a showcase of consistently thoughtful and extremely caring team from Dr. Anania to her amazing team. My daughter even came in once so she could help take care of mommy's boo boo's (she's 4) and she spoke on the Dr. Anania's kindness. Every appointment has been met with expertise, kindness an amazing clean and relaxing space and the type of care that you simply can't find anywhere. I have gone from severe extreme pain to mild discomfort in such a short span that I am in utter disbelief. Miraculous is an understatement. I'm eternally grateful for you. read more

I've been seeing chiropractors every so often since the late '90s. At this point, I can recognize after one session whether or not a practitioner is someone I'd be willing to visit again. So I'm happy to report that if you're in the Providence area, and you have the misfortune of suffering some kind of spinal alignment issue, then you at least have the offsetting good fortune of being able to see Dr. Anania. My visit was outstanding! To be clear, I didn't seek her out due to any great trauma -- it's just that every so often, my neck or my sacrum will slip out of alignment, and then I need external help in getting them back to where they should be. Dr. Anania was tremendously effective in making that happen! Even before I got there, her staff helped me out on the phone in a warm, professional manner. As soon as I stepped into her place, I felt even more comforted (it's roomy, and there are plants everywhere). Dr. Anania herself is friendly and bright, and she made sure I was warmed up and relaxed before getting down to the adjustment part of the proceedings. And that part was fantastic! She got some extremely satisfying results in just the one session, and then she gave me extra time on the massage-like traction table (I told her I wanted to vacation there, and she granted me even more time on it). Dr Anania is the real deal. I came in due to experiencing exertion headaches for over a week - basically migraines that occur while lifting weights. I originally went to a general doctor, as i wanted to be safe rather than sorry. He ended up prescribing me aspirin... and told me to avoid all alcohol, caffeine and lifting for 2 weeks. This was after telling him my alcohol and caffeine use had decreased recently. Deeming that a failure, i scheduled an apt with Dr Anania. Wow! What an experience. She performed an ultrasound on my neck/upper back, adjusted me and put me on the rolling table. I felt amazing after. I went back to the gym a couple days later and was 100%. Not only were my headaches cured, some chronic neck and upper back tension disappeared. Can't recommend highly enough. I go back about once a month to keep aligned and have been feeling great since. Besides the rolling table, she also has a massage chair from Japan that that is better than you can imagine. I was referred to Dr Karen by a good friend of mine...WOW what a great referral. I called this morning on my day off and was psyched to get a same-day appointment. The location is conveniently off the highway and right next to The Grange, if you're looking for a fresh bite to eat before or after. Clean office and super friendly staff. I was excited that I only had to fill out ONE piece of paper; most offices give you a stack! I was seen quickly. Dr Karen was really informative, asking why I came in, where I felt pain, what my diet/lifestyle looked like. She gave me in-depth answers and decided on a "head to toe full alignment" for my particular needs. I was so nervous, but she was great for putting me at ease. Everything felt great and I had instant relief! My copay was incredibly reasonable, and its nice to know Dr Karen offers immediate assistance for car accident victims and other injury cases as well; good to keep in mind. I will definitely be visiting again soon...also, if Dr Karen ever wanted to run a boot camp fitness class, I'd 100% sign up! She clearly knows what she's talking about. Don't go elsewhere! read more

Let me just start by saying Dr. Karen and her staff are all very nice and welcoming. I didn't know what to expect for my first visit to a chiropractor and they all made the experience very enjoyable and comfortable. Dr. Karen didn't rush me nor just put me in a room and then continue to do her job. She listens to me and asked about my trouble areas and went over reasons as to why they occur and also explained everything she was doing and why she was also doing it. Since then i have been twice and she has been helping me get my body back in check to its natural order, i can honestly say that for the first time since my injury over a year ago I'm starting to actually feel relief and back to my normal self without the discomfort and aches my body has been putting me through. Wonderful Service! I came in with a tweaked lower back and shooting pain so bad I could barley walk. The front desk staff was so kind and caring. The doctor came out and greeted me and was able to quickly see me without any wait time. She started off with an ultrasound with relief cream followed by an electric heating pad treatment. After the pain was relieved and my back loosened up she did a flawless adjustment. I was able to stand up straight and walk out as a whole new person! She has an uncanny ability to heal others. The main reason I went to her was because she takes patients like me who do not have health insurance. I paid 30$ to have my back completely healed. I also want to mention how COVID safe all the staff were. All employees kept their masks on and they had sanitized and used pen bins. The atmosphere of the office is beautiful as well. It's filled with gorgeous, healthy plants all around and they offer fresh spring water in the waiting area. I will return if my back is ever in need again. read more

I've had chronic neck and upper back pain for years, and mostly from my body positioning at work. I was recently new to the area and a friend of mine had given recommended Dr. Anania as one of the best chiropractors around. There came a day a few weeks later that I tweaked something and I was suddenly in crippling pain. I immediately called Dr. Anania's office and they made room for me in their schedule that day! What a welcoming and empathetic staff. From the phone call to the visit I felt very comfortable and in great hands. Dr. Anania is incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly and very professional. I came back a few more times for this particular incident but I was amazed at how much relief I felt in just that first visit. I've been seeing Karen for these past few months and refuse to go anywhere else! Dr. Anania is a skilled and caring practitioner. She was highly recommended to me by my boyfriend when I was diagnosed with severe whiplash from an accident. Going above and beyond expectations, she spent a lot of time with me regarding my concerns and pain, clearly explaining the various modalities she would be using, including her y-strap decompression for adjustments, stretching techniques, massages, etc. After several visits, my lower back had fully recovered in six weeks without any other healing treatments. I have continued to visit her office on a regular basis for what I consider to be "weekly maintenance." I always leave there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, as she can work the tension out of my muscles better than anyone. I had my first appointment with Dr. Anania today, and my session was amazing! This was my first time seeing a chiropractor, and my entire experience was delightful. As soon as you walk in the doors you can feel the relaxing and inviting ambiance; There are candles, lots of plants, and very pleasant staff to assist you. When I met with Dr. Anania she explained everything to me, and we talked about some of the body sensations I was experiencing. The adjustments were swift and painless. I even got a massage after in a fancy massage chair, which I was not expecting. After I felt airy and relaxed, it was great. The best part of the experience was that I did not feel rushed. Gorgeous office and the girls at the front office are so kind and happy and always making jokes. The treatments are wonderful and my back feels much better after a recent accident. Dr. Karen Anania is a truly wonderful person, she recognized I could use some life advice and very warmly opened up to me and took time off of her day to speak with me and give me advise, as well as several book recommendations. Dr. Anania has gone beyond physical treatment and made the effort to help me better myself mentally as well. In a way she is a chiropractor/therapist! After searching for Chiropractors near me, I stumbled across this gem. I called to inquire if they were taking new patients and I was able to come in the same day for an adjustment. Upon entering, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Dr. Anania is knowledgeable, passionate and transparent. After identifying my problem areas she suggested the Y- STRAP and although I was familiar with the Y -Strap, I didnt know Chiro's in RI use this method. Had the best first chiropractic experience with Dr. Anania. Such an enjoyable environment, the staff and the Dr. were so welcoming! I learned so much in just 1 visit. I've been having neck pain and chronic migraines and I was told that going to see a chiropractor could possibly help with the pain and somewhat prevent them. I had a crazy back spasm late last year and had to go to PT not soon after. After months of exercises, I still couldn't walk very far, sit or stand for very long. I got sick of it and made an appointment with Anania, got an appointment within the same week, and came in. I left being able to walk home!!!! I needed to see a Chiropractor due to pain in my lower back that was radiating to my right side and stiffness in my entire back. Dr. Anania was amazing! I did not have to wait to be seen (Walk-in), and after just one session I did not have any more stiffness, the pain lessened significantly and my daily breathing exercises became less labored.
