Yvette is a true healer and one of the most calming and generous people I have ever met. She treated me for over seven years, during which I was in graduate school and under extreme stress. She absolutely changed my life and empowered me to take of myself in a whole new way. After many years of migraines that were getting worse (among other symptoms), 3 years ago I heeded the recommendation of a friend to make an appointment with Yvette. I was impressed from the first visit with the careful, thoughtful attention she gives to what I am saying while mentally noting what she observes from her holistic approach. As someone who was once a sceptic and fearful of Acupuncture, Yvette made me a believer. Yvette started treating me after my twins were born, when I was suffering from terrible restless legs, adrenal fatigue (from running on empty and the intense sleep deprivation that comes with twins!) and a weak immune system. I could never say enough positive things about Dr. Koch. I began seeing her regularly (weekly) in 2009, and continued for 4 years. I initially went to regulate menstrual cycles (women's health is both a speciality and a passion of hers). After only a month and a half, my period returned after a year+ of not having one. She then worked to ameliorate my deficiencies, and refine my cycles, and overall health. I have never had such a unique and special relationship with a healthcare provider, and even though my health insurance no longer covers my treatments, I still visit Yvette on a monthly basis. Her treatment space is absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience of a treatment is beyond words. In addition to needling, she also employs many supplementary modalities which I thoroughly enjoy, including - moxa, heat lamps, cupping (both stationary and slidding), gua sha, tuning forks, healing salves, and more. I should also mention that while I don't currently take herbs, Yvette is also an herbalist and at various points I have taken custom blended herbal formulas to help with particular conditions. I have been seeing Yvette for several years to treat a variety of symptoms and to support overall physical and spiritual well-being. She has been absolutely incredible. Yvette has been my acupuncturist for a year and a half. During this time I have seen my overall health dramatically improve. I sleep better, my diet has shifted to be healthier, my level of stress is lower, and I get sick far less often and less severe.
