But if something…read morehappens there are people who are trained to help you get back to normal, or something pretty close. I have had really good results at ATI and I want to encourage you to try them out if you need physical therapy. They have several locations around Tucson and I am a two time client at this one off Ajo and Park. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and well trained in getting people back in working order. The facility is compact but has everything one needs to get top notch results. I prefer learning and doing exercises that use minimal spa-like equipment and use things like hand weights, exercise bands, walls, treadmills and stationary bikes. Nothing glamorous but effective......and easily replicated at home or on the go. All the therapists are cheerful, encouraging and supportive. They listen and offer encouragement and alternatives crafted to your needs and abilities. Their hours of operation are pretty extensive and convenient. They can work around your schedule and greet you with a smile when you arrive. So, if you find yourself in need of some PT check out ATI.

After ordering an MRI and learning it was more of a tendonitis issue, Dr. Endean was supportive that I had visited a rolfer who loosened the muscle tightness surrounding my shoulder, and sent me for physical therapy to strengthen the muscles and tendons. I was very relieved and pleased that he didn't rush me into another surgery and didn't scoff at the fact I found relief in a non-pharmaceutical way. My shoulder is pain free now. My next issue was a knee injury, which felt like something drastic. Again, after tests showed my knee was structurally okay and I needed to do more self-care and rest, my trust in his judgement as a thorough doctor who wasn't an aggressive surgeon became even stronger. However, when surgery is needed, he would be my choice. He did surgery to repair a torn meniscus for my husband's knee, which went great. He walked from the surgical facility to the car and had no pain. Dr. Endean is an athlete himself and seems to understand well how to best approach an injury with the best resolution and the least invasive process. He also has a great sense of humor and good bedside manner. His staff is very good and I have never had to wait for long periods of time, so the office runs efficiently.

Because travel to simply discuss the results of the MRI would require 100 miles of driving, I was granted a phone visit. In the course of the phone call, no mention of a co-payment ever occurred. From previous experience with other medical providers, it was reasonable for me to assume that TOI would not again bill me to simply provide me with the results of testing that I paid dearly for, but if they did again require a co-payment, they would notify me at the time of service which is customary of all businesses, including those of a medical nature. In December, 2025, I received a surprise letter from a collections agency demanding the past due payment of $40 for the June 4 visit. That letter was the first notification of any kind of an amount due that I had received. I immediately called TOI and was transferred to a representative from the TOI Business Office who falsely claimed that TOI had mailed billing statements in June, July, and August. She told me the dates of the statements and confirmed my address. I questioned why it was that the collections agency could successfully mail a single demand letter and I would receive it, yet three TOI statements somehow got lost in the mail. She insisted that they were mailed. I paid the $40 to the the representative during that phone call and demanded evidence that TOI had mailed statements. Soon, I received three printed statments in a single envelope from the TOI Business Office in Dallas. The representative had simply printed them from her computer, and highlighted the dates on the three printouts as if that was somehow proof that they had actually been mailed. During the call with the representative, she also stated that the statements were available on my patient portal. It then took a call to TOI for me to setup a password for that portal, and I verified that yes, there were PDF copies of statements there. Yet, I had received no notifications by email, text, phone, mail, or otherwise that the payment was due. Who logs onto some patient portal just to check to see if there might be some payment due? That is not how billing has ever worked in the United States, and I have things to do other than recreationally check patient portals for bills. For the poor business practices of TOI, I give them one star. First off, TOI should have discussed any amounts due at the time the medical service was provided way back on June 4th. After failing at that, TOI had endless opportunities to notify me by mail, phone call, text, or email, and I would gladly have paid the amount due. Finally, one would think that a representative from the billing department of the Business Office could be trained to understand that a PDF file viewed on a computer is not evidence that a statement had been mailed. If it had been mailed, I surely would have received at least one of the three allegedly mailed statements, and I would have taken prompt action to pay it, just as I did once I received a demand letter from a collection agency that was truly mailed. If you enjoy being treated as a deadbeat by TOI and a collection agency for not paying bills you weren't notified were due, then ignore my one star review.

Had 1st appt with Kimberly Tucker...was supposed to see her 7 days ago but after1hr 20 min., nobody showed..except nice gal Carolina; who informed me That Dr Tucker still had 3 pts ahead of me. I had appts and meds I had to take,s so I told Carolina I.d have to leave. No one even told me, or others waiting, the doc was running late. That was 7 days ago. Today she was only about 20 min late..stuff happens. Tucker comes in.no eye contact, sits down at PC and starts asking questions. She looked up when I didnt answer and I pointed to my hearing aids indicating problem. APPARENTLY NO ONE AT BANNER HAD PUT AN ADvISORY IN MY CHART , "EXTREME HOH. " I explained hoe to commune with me..Talk SLOWLY and clearly and Ill hear here. Instead she keeps talking fast and LOUDER; making me adjust my Aids. She felt she had to dominate the conversation; even when I showed the memo from Dr "A" as to what needed to be done She kept elevating and reverting to fast speech. Finally she stormed out of Exam room. I waited for her to come back...had to check.. Carolina said '"she wasn't coming back to see me." Everyone out side heard her talking loud, then me having to respond loud that she was talking too fast. I have NEVER been treated worse by anyone at any Med facility. I.m 79 years old. Does she think I had a stroke to personally inconveniece her? I graduated from Medical School at the beginning of the AIDS crisis, worked in ERs at VA Phoenix, Tempe, Tempe St Lukes, Desert Samaritan,(clical rotations) Bullhead City, and 9 years home care in N.Y. as a Respiratory Therapist, ...for starters,, Ive never seen anyone treat a neuro- disabled person as Tucker did,.. ADA.."make reasonable accomadations for persons disablity...thats you. ASking some one to talk slower and clearer..not louder seems to be reasonable?..and refusing to see me because i ask? ADA enforcement is done by US Dept of Justice... Some one, who won,t identify themselve called PCS and two Sheriffs showed up in Lobby, embarrasing me. When they talked to me, and a nice gal, a Navigater;it was clear I was not the problem. At this point I suggest Banner involve RM for advice, ARVISORY. If you got to Banner Ortho, and have hearing/neuro disabiliy DO NOT see Dr Tucker. ON a HAPPY NOTE....... Everyboby else treated me nice today and I was able to converse with Deputies, Navigater, and gals at front desk.. hb because they talked slowly and clearly... HOORAY ADDENDUM. Events above that happened this morning were relative to Banner Ortho' and Sports Med. at INA RD. facility; not Ajo Way office. Sorry about that..My PC screen blocked out correct Facility. All the rest remains the same. hb
