Every person I had the pleasure of talking to on his staff were super friendly, super helpful, and just overall awesome! Dr. Senese himself was personable, knowledgable, and very helpful. He explained to me everything he saw on my x-ray and helped me to understand what was going on. He listened to and addressed all of my concerns, and came up with a great game plan to help treat me. So far, so good. It is also important for me to note how much I appreciate that he is in his own practice, and not a giant group. The giant groups are miserable to deal with, from trying to get them on the phone to make an appointment, to the wait in the office for said appointment. This didn't happen here. You don't go through menus to talk to someone. The woman that answers the phone can help you with everything you need, short of actually talking to the doctor. The wait time in the office was only a few minutes, and I was early to my appointment. He was on time had I not been early. I was seen by the doctor within 5 minutes of having my vitals taken and issues written down by the nurse. Based on this first visit, I would recommend Dr. Senese to anyone!

If you have a situation where it is necessary to work with you over a time, he readily does that! His goal is in making certain that he provides the very best medicine to each of his patients, and individuality IS important to this doctor! Dr. Goode's entire team are sincerely concerned about making each patient visit pleasant, professional and accurate. We have heard a couple of people complaining about their long wait in seeing Dr. Goode. My response to those impatient people is, "Dr. Goode is WORTH the wait!!" If you know ahead of time that there is a possibility that you may have a long wait, then you won't be disappointed. Personally, I appreciate being able to wait to be seen by the very best!! One reason that doctors run late is because they are taking necessary time to treat patients with the utmost of care. I don't mind waiting, because there may come a time that I am the person who in need of, and is receiving, the extra time during an appointment. If you don't like waits (waits at times - not always waits) and time is more important to you than expertise and treatment, perhaps you should seek a faster paced doctor who stays on time, but doesn't always take necessary time. My husband and I will only see Dr. Joel Goode, and Dr. Goode's team, for our shoulder needs! ALWAYS!! Not only does Dr. Goode take care of patients in and around the Tucson area, he an other colleagues travel the globe, offering medicine and surgeries to suppressed areas. He showed me the xray, and made drawings on paper to show me exactly what was happening with my foot. He gave me four options for treatment, from less involved to more involved. I think I will go ahead and get surgery from him, I trust him and feel he knows his stuff. He is a slim man with some gray in his wavy hair, probably in his 50s. He mentioned his wife and kids as examples of foot situations, which I like to hear, to know he is a real person with a family.. He is a runner, like me, and had good advice for what kind of running is good and not so good for my condition, what kind of shoes, what kind of exercise I can do during my recovery. Oh, one more thing: he recommended orthotics but he did not try to upsell me any, he sent me to Summit Hut to get mine. Isn't that genuine? The staff management was average. I did not like being asked my SSN and the SSN of my wife and dependents on the form... The physicians assistant Diane was very good and patiently explained the forms, costs and so forth. "I know all about that; it's what I do; you don't have to tell me about it." Then he started to talk to me about how awesome he was. A short time later, he asked me about my hip replacement. I have never had a hip replacement. He brushed that off real quick, you know because he is so awesome. Very quickly, he told me he could not do the surgery because my BMI was too high and told me to come back when I lost weight. He is rude and caustic. Maybe he is a good surgeon, but I am betting it's hard to get past his personality and god complex to get to the surgery part.

Dr. Thompson essentially took one look at it and knew what the problem was. He gave me a few minimally-invasive things to try for a couple of months (hey, what's a couple of months when you've been suffering for years!?!). Based on the results from those interventions, he was able to confirm the diagnosis and we quickly arranged the surgery. Sure it hurt, but wow, was it worth it! You can barely see the scars and the process overall was remarkably pleasant. Most of the staff have been consistently kind and professional. I'm so grateful for Dr. Thompson and the team at Tucson Shoulder Elbow and Hand! Anybody know a good piano teacher? :-)
