Dr. Nguyen was able to see me on short notice while I was traveling, and I'm so grateful she did. She performed a thorough examination, accurately identified the source of my pain, and carefully explained all of my treatment options, including what to realistically expect if I chose an injection. I was very nervous, but her calm demeanor, confidence, and precise technique immediately put me at ease. I felt about 70% better immediately after the injection, and within a few weeks my pain had improved by about 90%. Combined with the stretching exercises she recommended, I'm now essentially pain-free. What impressed me most was that Dr. Nguyen genuinely cared about helping me recover. She took the time to educate me, answered all my questions, and recommended what was best for my condition without any pressure. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and highly skilled podiatrist.

He has been practicing here for 35yrs and is outstanding in every way. I did not find his staff abrasive one bit. They were welcoming, helpful and pleasent. Dr. Shapiro has a fantastic bedside manor with a great wit. He did a simple procedure for my ingrown toe nail and explained what and how it would be done and any, if at all, side affects to watch for. We are winter travelers and I researched on the net for a podiatrist and happened to find Dr. Shaprio. He was a jackpot find and I highly reccomend him and his office.

I suspected it was…read moreprobably plantar fasciitis but unfortunately had let it get to the point where all I could do was kind of hobble around. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly, within a few days with Dr. Carrie Hess. Upon arriving the staff were quick to help me check in and were very friendly as I waited for the doctor. Doctor Hess pretty immediately let me know it was most likely plantar fasciitis because of the area where I was experiencing the pain. She did offer to take x-rays to confirm it wasn't anything else but they can't really see much on the x-ray besides a bone spur, which was actually kind of interesting to find out. She suggested a steroid shot and we were able to do it that day pretty quickly. It wasn't too painful but there was a little pinch. I was a little surprised she didn't give me more in terms of a treatment plan, but I think that she may have just expected that I kind of knew what to do after. She did say, if the pain reoccurs to return but I wasn't really sure what to do to prevent this from happening again. Luckily, I haven't had much pain. The morning after was the first time in months I'd woken up and not had to hobble around my house in pain. Thank you!

He had an old xray machine in his office hallway so I didn't have to go out for xrays and come back for another visit, and he didn't charge much for the xray. He showed me the xray, and made drawings on paper to show me exactly what was happening with my foot. He gave me four options for treatment, from less involved to more involved. I think I will go ahead and get surgery from him, I trust him and feel he knows his stuff. He is a slim man with some gray in his wavy hair, probably in his 50s. He mentioned his wife and kids as examples of foot situations, which I like to hear, to know he is a real person with a family.. He is a runner, like me, and had good advice for what kind of running is good and not so good for my condition, what kind of shoes, what kind of exercise I can do during my recovery. Oh, one more thing: he recommended orthotics but he did not try to upsell me any, he sent me to Summit Hut to get mine. Isn't that genuine? The staff management was average. I did not like being asked my SSN and the SSN of my wife and dependents on the form... The physicians assistant Diane was very good and patiently explained the forms, costs and so forth.
