This review concerns billing for a MRI review call with Dr Norris on June 4, 2025 and subsequent…read moreinteractions with the TOI Business Office. Because travel to simply discuss the results of the MRI would require 100 miles of driving, I was granted a phone visit. In the course of the phone call, no mention of a co-payment ever occurred. From previous experience with other medical providers, it was reasonable for me to assume that TOI would not again bill me to simply provide me with the results of testing that I paid dearly for, but if they did again require a co-payment, they would notify me at the time of service which is customary of all businesses, including those of a medical nature. In December, 2025, I received a surprise letter from a collections agency demanding the past due payment of $40 for the June 4 visit. That letter was the first notification of any kind of an amount due that I had received. I immediately called TOI and was transferred to a representative from the TOI Business Office who falsely claimed that TOI had mailed billing statements in June, July, and August. She told me the dates of the statements and confirmed my address. I questioned why it was that the collections agency could successfully mail a single demand letter and I would receive it, yet three TOI statements somehow got lost in the mail. She insisted that they were mailed. I paid the $40 to the the representative during that phone call and demanded evidence that TOI had mailed statements. Soon, I received three printed statments in a single envelope from the TOI Business Office in Dallas. The representative had simply printed them from her computer, and highlighted the dates on the three printouts as if that was somehow proof that they had actually been mailed. During the call with the representative, she also stated that the statements were available on my patient portal. It then took a call to TOI for me to setup a password for that portal, and I verified that yes, there were PDF copies of statements there. Yet, I had received no notifications by email, text, phone, mail, or otherwise that the payment was due. Who logs onto some patient portal just to check to see if there might be some payment due? That is not how billing has ever worked in the United States, and I have things to do other than recreationally check patient portals for bills. For the poor business practices of TOI, I give them one star. First off, TOI should have discussed any amounts due at the time the medical service was provided way back on June 4th. After failing at that, TOI had endless opportunities to notify me by mail, phone call, text, or email, and I would gladly have paid the amount due. Finally, one would think that a representative from the billing department of the Business Office could be trained to understand that a PDF file viewed on a computer is not evidence that a statement had been mailed. If it had been mailed, I surely would have received at least one of the three allegedly mailed statements, and I would have taken prompt action to pay it, just as I did once I received a demand letter from a collection agency that was truly mailed. If you enjoy being treated as a deadbeat by TOI and a collection agency for not paying bills you weren't notified were due, then ignore my one star review.

I was referred here by my PC after breaking both my ankles. I came as a walk in to their evening…read morewalk in hours. I was lucky to see Dr Eric Anctil who is a premier ankle specialist/surgeon. He performed surgery and managed my recovery. Who knew an ankle is such a remarkable limb chock full of bones, nerves, tendons and muscles? I had the best experience during the entire process ....... He and his entire staff are amazing people who have answers for those of us who have never had any injuries and for those who have endured many. Every case is unique and they have seen it all. Swapping stories in the waiting room with fellow patients, athletes and caregivers is also very interesting! So if you have need of an ankle/foot specialist look no further than Dr Anctil at Tucson Orthopaedic Institute.

Rude staff. Rude doctor. LISTEN TO THE REST THE REVIEWS - find a different doctor…read more I constantly had issues with, Laura (the manager) and I should have just found another PC - but I just thought "yeah they're rude, but I can deal with that because I can make appointments relatively fast". A mistake that's now cost me health, money and a lot of time. They didn't submit the proper documentation to my insurance on time - even though I called and asked multiple times - each time I was met with a rude tone, as if "we're not stupid - don't ask us again". Well, my insurance confirmed that the office ignored multiple phone calls and faxes trying to get it covered. They lied and wouldn't even try to help resolve the issue - then calling the company that she works for - they couldn't care less. They "looked into" my issues and found no problems. They wouldn't talk to my insurance or care to look at the evidence - they said "we talked with Dr Gallo's staff and everything was done properly". No, it wasn't and that's why I'm not liable for THEIR referrals - because they wouldn't submit it within the timeframe needed and lied about it. We choose professionals to do things like that because it's a complex deal understanding the processes and policies involved. They don't act professional and it's as if they enjoyed my issues - both Dr Gallo and Laura. I'm going to sue them because it's cost me months of treatment, a financial loss and countless hours of my life - not to mention the stress it's put on me. Run away - don't walk - this office is only interested in your money.

They never even inquired if I was okay.... wow!!! (Patient for more than 5 years) The staff are horribly rude, Renee has been nice and personable at most visits, but she can be rude paticularly when you ask her to work with other practitioners, except those that are her friends of course. She set up a referral with an equally as expensive doc, her friend, who was rude and incensitive! When I decided to go to another doc for a 2nd opinion, her office wouldn't share all of my medical information even though I'd signed the releases, but she shared all my info with her friend. The final straw was when I asked to pick up a copy of my full file and her admin told me nobody at the office could do this until Monday. Im like its just making copies and the staff becomes upset and says, "Ms. I'm working the front desk so I don't have time to do this and I don't deal with medical records..." I stayed with her for years because she really used to be great! She would spend time with patients, her staff were funny and warm. She, ironically now, helped stabilize my asthma and for that I am still grateful. But later when she opened her own practice and she and her staff became rude, inattentive and incensitive, I stayed because I really didn't have any health problems, she was close and i could get in quickly despite the snide comments about my health condition made in front of UA interns! But NO MORE! Im getting a new doctor who will provide asthma medications to asthmatics! She gets 2 stars because they get you in quickly and I know there's a good doctor inside her, though I have not seen the good one since she opened her own practice. Do yourself a favor, look at the google reviews and find another doctor.
