Stayed away for awhile due to the pandemic but am going back and feel comfortable doing so. You have to wear a mask and they take your temperature when you come in. You have to wash your hands before being seen and they spray down the tables and equipment before you use it. I still see Andy and still really appreciate his help. I see him for my back and knees. I have ongoing low back pain but developed tightness in my upper back that was restricting my breathing and he gave me some new exercises for that that has really helped me to be able to breathe more freely. Andy tailors the exercises to my needs and I have found them to be extremely helpful. He has a wide variety of tools and techniques to adapt to your needs. The dry needling is helpful when my muscles are really tight. If I need to be taped, he will do so. He will show you how to tape yourself as well. I sometimes get heat or ice-with a tens unit (electrical stimulation). If one thing doesn't help, there will be an alternative. The front staff are always friendly and helpful. A bonus is the deer that come down in front of the business to drink water and feed on the tree. read more

I had two appointments with Jim at Agility. I could not get him to listen to me. I came in with a consult for spinal and thoracic pt and got only exercises for my legs and balance. I asked him at least five times about exercises for my spine and he ignored me. After exercising for a week he wanted me to use my session to do my exercises., i refused so he ran to the computer where he mostly stayed for the rest of the session. On the way out the admin gave me a printout of my new exercises. You guessed it: two new exercises leg and balance. Don't waste your time. this is pt at its worst read more

I suffered a serious spinal cord injury and saw the Agility Team for 8 months of PT. The outcome was outstanding! The professionals at Agility quickly and safely transitioned me from using a walker to a cane and then to unassisted walking. I'm halfway through my program here, but I strongly feel that Andy has given me so much help and so much hope that I must leave a review for Agility. I was referred here by my primary care physician, and I got so lucky. Here's a bulleted list of just some of the reasons I love Agility: * They have been super upfront about costs and so helpful/patient with my questions about insurance/payments. * Their treatment program for me is well-rounded: they work on my body in its current state without judgement and have empowered me to continue healing by showing me new stretches, exercises, and ways I can take home with me to work on my body in the future for when my program ends. (Everything they have taught me I can do at home.) * The entire staff has been so pleasant, welcoming, non-judgmental, and so helpful. * The space is neat and clean, and they are always so timely and prompt. I have never had to wait for my appointment. Angels and miracle workers work here. Last month, I attempted to lift a very heavy 95 pound object and popped my L3 right out of alignment. It sounded like a champagne cork when the injury occurred. It was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever done in my life and a bad lesson learned. After it happened and for days afterwards, I could hardly breathe and was in a lot of pain. I could hardly walk let alone (try to) bend over. My therapist, Lauren, is a gifted "healer." It's like she can see into my body and knows every spot that's affected just by her touch. Not only does she inspire me to work harder at the exercises, she offers encouragement when I need it the most and she is very empathetic. She truly cares about her patients and it shows. I had given up hope that I would ever get better again but I am... slowly but surely. I am making progress and feel like I am on the road to recovery. I'm so glad I found this place. I would highly recommend this PT clinic. I've been to other clinics in the past 25 years for knee problems and hip replacement post surgery PT. Agility PT is, by far, the best PT clinic I have ever been to. I'm also thankful it is on the west side of Tucson just up the street from where I live. Very convenient. I'm a competitive golfer. This was my first visit. I went in with excruciating back pain and have been barely able to walk for the last two weeks after my last tournament.. They were able to get me in with 30 minute's notice. Andy was amazing! Very attentive, and quickly and professionally diagnosed the source of my pain. After an hour of stretching, massage, and dry needling, the pain was gone. I will be gladly following his 2 to 3 times a week regimen. I have been visiting Agility Spine and Sport on and off for the last two years, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I've worked primarily with Jacob LaShot, and he really knows what he's doing, but the whole clinic is full of knowledgeable professionals. I am an elite-level triathlete who has incurred a variety of different injuries over the last two years including: back and neck pain after bicycle-car collision, rotator cuff injury from swimming, knee and IT band injuries from overtraining, pulled achilles tendon, labrum impingement due to overtight hips, etc etc. I trust Jake and his colleagues very much as they have brought me through two Ironman races in one piece and helped rid me of chronic injuries extending back almost a decade. They have been much more effective at healing me than any assistance I've received from my primary care physician or ortho specialists in town. So do yourself a favor and schedule a visit. read more

I gave this place a shot, since it accepted my insurance and was closer than the other facilities. I read what I was to bring on my first visit. To treat a patient you would think the therapist should know all about you. The FAQ says to bring all reports, tests, etc, which I did and the PT I was given never looked at. She seemed too busy, dropped them and never said a word about them. The Agility site makes claims about going over the reports and testing the client. This was never done. The PT had her tech. work with me, a good portion of the time. The tech.appeared disinterested and couldn't even keep track of my reps. On one visit I was asked to lay on my stomach. Having had spinal fusion, made it difficult to get up from that position. I called for help, no answer. I believe she walked away and lied about it. I contacted the owner who apologized and gave me another PT. Again, the PT did not look at my reports. He had me waiting about 15 min. and when I asked him if he would look said he hadn't the time and used my initial form only to treat me. I had been working out for decades so knew a lot myself. My complaint of not looking at my reports I was told would be addressed in a staff meeting. Guess not. I had serious work done and my surgeon stressed no spinal manipulations. I left that last visit in terrible pain. I guess if you have no knowledge yourself, you might think this place was wonderful. From my background I could say I was very disappointed. It is under staffed, the PTs are often looking after more than one client. I can not see how someone with extensive surgery can be given exercises to do without looking at their reports. I was given a handout and an email with videos by the 2nd PT, which I thought was good, but am very hesitant in doing them. read more

I used Agility a few years back for a chronic knee issue and they were fantastic. I saw Tim for that and he was great at assessing the root of the problem and working with me the get it right. I still continue with exercises he gave me during PT. More recently I needed PT for a broken ankle, well more like needing to learn how to walk after being immobilized for 6 weeks. Again fantastic. Painful at times but I know that the results are walking normal again. I don't know any other PT in town but I wouldn't go any where else. read more

Nikki and the staff at the Orange Grove location rock! They're super friendly, knowledgeable and make a difficult experience much better, but............ FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, RING THE GONG PEOPLE, RING THE GONG!!!!!! I opted out as I'll likely be back this year to further work on my issues, but the world fell apart because I FAILED TO RING THE GONG! Seriously, we're in the middle of a pandemic now and everything is topsy turvy. Nikki and staff seemed sad when I opted out of the Gong ritual, their sadness seemed to help spur a global pandemic of epic proportions! I've had several physical therapy experiences but this one was by far the best. Many places will only treat you for one injury/body part at a time but Kayla made the extra effort to take care of two in every one-hour visit for me, which is huge considering my busy school and work schedule! She got me back to heavy lifting and an active lifestyle in just two months. Hopefully I won't have the need to go back but if I do I know where I'm going. I have been pleased with my main therapist at Tanque Verde location and even the fill in was ok until.... Feb. 6th, for some reason he thought today was time for me to have more weight, more reps and deeper massage, for my right wrist and arem. He had me throw heavy ball at the rebounder, do wall pushes now I am in worse pain, even my left hand is hurting, have less ability to do my daily routines. . My progress had been doing very good, however, I am very concerned, feel like more damage has been created. It has been a week of ice packs at home still no relief. read more

I went to Agility Spine and Sports Physical Therapy for neck and shoulder pain. I was pleased with the therapy I received. My therapist, Nico, was knowledgeable and provided good treatment. He took the time to evaluate me and listen to my concerns. He also recommended things I could do at home to help my condition. I improved after my first treatment. The front office and other assistants are all very friendly. They are professional and give you good service. My doctor sent my first referral to another physical therapy group and they never called me. Agility called me and got me scheduled. I recommend them if you need physical therapy. read more

Cannot say enough good things about the staff here, especially Jake LaShot, the primary PT who has been working with me after a difficult foot surgery. Unfortunately complications have caused some real issues, but he (and the rest of the staff) have been so focused on helping me to regain mobility and deal with chronic pain issues. This crew KNOWS what they are doing, and you can tell they like working together and helping their patients. Although I've got a ways to go, having a crew like this to help in recovery makes things better. And a shout out to Sylvia at the front desk, what a nice, friendly professional lady who is always so helpful if changes have to be made. You guys rock! read more

The services performed were good however the billing was very misleading. I was told I would be paying full cost because my deductible was too high so I agreed to pay out of pocket. I paid and left. I thought all was good but I was wrong. I received a second bill for the same amount about a month later. I thought maybe they made a mistake so I called them. I was told that the first payment was an estimate and that I signed a paper saying I was responsible for anything my insurance didn't cover. I didn't get it. Why did they tell me I had to pay full price when I was in the office but only charge me half. I was under the impression that the cost was going to be $75 but then I find out it was $150. And they wanted to see me every week. That's $600 a month. If I knew it was $150 per visit I would have never agreed to pay and looked for a cheaper alternative. All I got was apologies with the word BUT right after and they brought up their get out of jail free disclosure. My problem is they need to be clear if your full pay tell me how much up front and let me make an informed decision. There are several choices at half the cost so I guess these tactics keep the appointment book full. read more

Stay far away from this business. They use unfair and very dishonest billing practices. Months after my last visit they sent me a bill for additional charges even though I had fully paid the co-pays at every appointment. There was never any disclosure that I may have more costs well after the completion of the service. read more
