The food is always on point here and prepared quick. Staff is professional and their customer service is great. I mistakenly ordered from their New Hampshire Ave location and they called to cancel and prepared my food at this location, even though the mistake was mine. One of my favorite taco places in dc. Their tacos is are flavorful and fresh. The al pastor, carnitas, and Baja fish tacos are my favorite.

Since District Taco stopped serving Al Pastor during the pandemic, I have been on the hunt for a good place to get Al Pastor tacos. I was excited to find Bandit Taco in Tenley. I ordered 3 to go on a quiet Sunday afternoon with nobody in the restaurant. When I got home, I was extremely disappointed to find that they do not actually serve Al Pastor, but make their "Al pastor" tacos with Carnitas and simply add pineapple. I'm not a fan of Carnitas and very disappointed that Bandit Taco tried to pass it off as Al Pastor. They should know better! read more

I've ordered from them twice in two days because it's that good. normally i'm hesitant when a place is funky with mixing ingredients but the chefs/menu designers here know what they are doing. i had a skirt steak burrito, an adobe chicken quesadilla and a korean beef burrito. Bandit Taco is a tiny place that that you might miss when walking by, but be sure to check it out when you get a chance. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out fast. Don't miss the $2 Taco Tuesday's where they feature a rotating selection of $2 tacos. I usually do take out as there just isn't much space to eat inside. I love their large and delicious chicken and steak quesadillas and their burritos look delicious as well. I found their tacos to be very good, but a little on the small size for the normal retail price ($3.5 - $4.25). They are more traditional tacos and my tacos Tuesday ones each had two corn tortillas, radish, cilantro, and scallions. I wish they had a 3 for $10 option so you could mix or match and save a little on volume when getting a whole meal. They also have some unique options like Korean Beef and Wild mushroom tacos. I'm a big fan of Bandit Taco so please check it out sometime soon! read more

When Bandit Taco first open 2 years ago they were awesome. Now 2 years later, their food has become bland and the women in the establishment have attitude issues. Everyone was nice and friendly when they first open but now they are all about getting the orders out. You are to come in and know exactly what you want (don't add anything extra or take anything off) that's when the attitudes start. My street corn has always been hot or at least warm enough where the butter would melt by the time I got back to the office but this time it was COLD. I have tried to give Bandit Taco the benefit of just having a bad day. This is my LAST time visiting Tenleytown Bandit Taco. read more

I have been watching Guy Ferrari for a long time. And when he say the best places are the small hole in the wall he was not lying. This place was great the tacos, tacos, tacos were great. My wife wand I could not stop talking about them. My wife ate hers and one of mine. Even the corn was on point. They have 2 locations. One between 14 and 16th street. And the other on Wisconsin Avenue. I drove past it twice and finally parked my car and walked and found it. No disappointment here. Not ideal for large groups as it's a small shop with not much seating (even with outside seating), but for 1 or 2 people I'd highly recommend. I recommend the fish taco or the shrimp taco. Fantastic. I usually get three tacos to make it a filling meal, since they are on the smaller size. But these are definitely the best tacos in tenleytown. The burritos are also quite large and filling if you're feeling more hungry. They also deliver through ubereats! read more

Omg so I got Uber eats from here and wasn't really expecting much, but this is definitely a new lunch favorite for me. I got the adobo chicken quesadilla and chips with guacamole. The guacamole was just the right amount of spice and the chips were nice and salty, the quesadillas was so good, I was not expecting to Luke it so much. I will definitely be ordering again and again, I also ordered their tre leches but I haven't had a chance to eat it yet, I'll update my review with that later. Simple board menu with good choices to pick from. Served quickly and appealingly -- easy to pick up, soft shells. Really good flavors. I had the chorizo taco for $3.50 and it was savory, with good backing flavors. A Jarritos. Can't ask for a better quick snack. read more

I hardly ever leave reviews but I just had to. It was our first time eating here in D.C. and we wanted something quick so we stopped here. Customer service is NON existent, which is what upset me the most. What you're really paying for is the cilantro & slaw on top of these tacos. Meats have no flavor and GOOD street tacos never surpass $3 but most of these are almost $5. I don't mind paying as long as they're good but these were OKAY. Bad quesadillas tonight. They used to be MUCH better. Has been 2 months since my last order, and it got bad! I was a HUGE fan of both their steak and carnitas quesadillas. Tonight there was half the meat, half the cheese , and twice the peppers and onions as it used to be. i was shocked how different they were. I have been a Bandit taco customer for about a year. I have had the quesadillas about 10-12 times. Every time before they were FANTASTIC, so much so I told many friends and even served them at a party for 20 people at my home. Tried this place out yesterday. I had a Korean beef quesadilla and horchata. The quesadilla was great- lots of green pepper, cheese and onion along with a good amount of beef as well. The horchata was alright, a little more milk than I'm used to but still very good. Even though it was ready-made, it tasted fresh! So far the only thing I have had from bandit taco is steak tacos and the fish tacos. The steak tacos are actually pretty good. But the fish taco, that is the best fish taco I have ever had, and I would venture to say that it is the best fish taco in DC. Everything is fresh, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and just absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that the tacos are a little bit small, so you will need to order probably two or three of them, which to get a little pricey. But if you get the fish tacos, it's worth every penny. This is my new favorite casual Mexican place for sure. read more

I had dinner at Bandit Taco on Opening Day. This place is great and I can see it being a regular stop for me and my friends for lunch and dinner. I had a steak quesadilla and it was delicious. The cheese is a little different than your usual quesadilla. I loved it. I also had a crispy shrimp taco. You can taste the quality in all of the food. The owner is also super friendly and accommodating. This place will be a real neighborhood gem. read more

The tacos are very good but very small! Even getting three tacos did not fill me up. I tried the carnitas (good) and chicken (ok). When you are paying $3.5-4 per taco, it gets expensive quick. Another good option for lunch within walking distance from my office but probably only plan to go for Tuesday Taco special in the future. Still need to try their burrito bowls so I can compare them to their competitors across and down the street on Wisconsin. Not convinced the tacos are worth the 20-30% additional cost. read more

The most delicious taco place in DC. They had the friendliest staff. Given COVID, they all were wearing masks, had hand sanitizer available as well.
