The food, service and atmosphere were good. Our one surprise was that smoking was allowed at the bar.

Food is definitely lacking in Indiana area. This will be one of the best stakes for miles around.

Nice laidback place with reasonably priced but very tasty food. The owner greets every customer and makes you feel st home.

There was a live band (the reason we sought out this place) and they charge a $5/pp cover charge. Their menu is basic bar food - mozzarella sticks, burgers, poppers, fries, etc. (no wings). The burgers looked REALLY good and everyone was ordering them but we weren't hungry enough to get one. We arrived around 7:15PM and stayed until last call. We each had 4-5 beers in that time (since we had to drive out of there on back country roads) and we split an order of mozzarella sticks and our total bill was only $30! Amazing! Note: they do allow smoking, almost everyone in there was smoking, and the ventilation system didn't do much to help the air flow. At one point my eyes were burning pretty bad - but it's a dive bar and I was not expecting it to be non-smoking. It's a cool little joint and I'm glad we went!

Smoking allowed inside, a true relic. When you only have 1 option, it's truly your best bet.

Figured I should fix that. It's a great dining option, and I'm sure if I was a bar-going person it would be an amazing bar option in Bloomington if you want to stay away from the downtown/student/club like vibes. The office lounge is located on the East side of town, and has all the 'dive bar' feels with great food and people, good service and reasonable prices. The steak special lunch is a nice piece of sirloin, French fries, and a piece of Texas Toast for less than a basic meal at McDonalds. And it's good. This week I tried the sirloin burger for the first time, also with fries, and everything was great. The tenderloin is also a favorite (it's Indiana, of course it is) and I hear great things about other meals. Service is always quick, though it can get pretty crowded at lunch so keep that in mind. Plenty of parking if you're creative in the lot. All in all, a great option for anyone looking for a great bar-level food menu and good prices.

If you're feeling salty or in a mood, this is your spot! I LOVE their pork tenderloins & their steak nights are a steal. Greek immigrant Nick Hrisomalos started Nick's. Nick's "Sink the Biz" fries have Nick's spices sprinkled on them along with Romano cheese and a great garlic mayo to dip them in! The Stromboli is incredible! Lots of flavor, great bread, meat, cheese yum!!! Oh, and the bread and butter pickles on the side are delicious too! The inside is really cool! Lots of booths always a plus, I U memorabilia, TV's playing sports, a bar, all in a very warm and inviting down home college hang out. I took home one of their great glass mugs. Took a keychain home also on the at out. Just nice friendly staff in a great college town. Oh, I will say I don't like mushrooms but on the way out we saw a plate of breaded mushrooms and my goodness they were huge and looked good. I might've tried one. Ha

I had fun, had a beer and collected a Nick's Hut glass jar/glass. Fast forward nine years and my son and daughter-in-law had their "Welcome Party" the evening before their wedding on Friday, June 19, 2026. This was after their wedding rehearsal and dinner elsewhere. We had a great time on the second floor that was totally reserved for our big group. They had more food, beer and other beverages as well. Kind of cool to attend events before my son started college and years later.

The menu has plenty of options, but we had to go for their signature tenderloin. We were excited to dig in. They offered an extra bun plus lettuce and tomato for an additional charge. If you're planning to split the sandwich, I highly recommend getting that second bun -- we were able to make two full sandwiches out of it. Just note that fries aren't included; they're an extra charge as well. We ordered some, but they arrived lukewarm, which was disappointing. The sandwich itself was tasty, though definitely heavier on breading than meat. Overall, it was a good experience and worth trying once, but we probably wouldn't return unless we happened to be passing through Edinburgh again.

It was so flat, barely any meat under the breading. I was thinking it would be a little thicker, nope. I split this with my other half. Just a side note which was not a big deal to me, good business process for them. To get another bun and the side fixings like lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion was an extra charge. We got fries they were warm, not hot. It was about 45 minutes before closing. They close early on Sunday it was 2pm. I think the fries were left over and under a heat lamp. I heard later from friends done places have thicker cuts of pork tenderloin. Needless to say, I will not be back. The place was very clean hence only 1 other couple was there. The staff was very nice. You can tell it's a small town Diner. They were out of onion rings, and mozzarella sticks.
