This place is hidden behind a taco shop - took me about 5 minutes to realize I was in the Roberto's 24-hr drive thru line -BUT- it was certainly worth it once I followed the little blue flags. This place is everything you want from a smog test station: quick, cheap, honest. I walked in with no appointment and was given a great price. The technician was quick and courteous and I was on my way. TIP: You can go on their website for a coupon. No need to print you can bring it up on your smart phone but you probably won't need to because they give you a good price anyway. Also, keep your eyes peeled when looking for the shop. I chose Bancroft Smog Test Only because its near my house and had some positive reviews online. Called at 8:15 and he said "Come on in!". Got there at 8:20. Driving off his lot at 8:45 - all done! The guy is really nice and very fast. No fuss, no muss. As Quay A. mentioned, it's a little tricky to find. Just look for the Smog Test Only sign behind the Mexican joint and keep driving down the alley. They shop is one garage on the left. Surprisingly, I'm now loyal to this smog place. read more

Didn't even have to make an appointment - just cruised in around 4 pm on a weekday and no wait. Just turn like you are going to Loreto's Mexican and keep going back down the alley. The older gentleman was very polite over the phone and gave a very generous price. He had a great sense of humor as well. Wow I am impressed.. The smog check station is really amazing I was literally here about 5 to 10 minutes. I brought my truck down as I had to renew my registration and it required to get smogged every two years even though it's a 07. I am so happy I found this place on Yelp I drove up with me and my son and I was expecting to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes not even there was no wait whatsoever hmmmm how is this even possible. Well this person is a pro they smog your car truck van whatever it may be then and there since he knows what he's doing it makes it easy for the customer now I see why they have so many great reviews. What was even really cool is how you check in on Yelp and you saved $10 off your smog certificate and it was really cool cuz I didn't even tell him I checked in and he already gave me the $10 off I thought that customer service was really good and they appreciate there customer. So literally after 10 minutes The Smog Check Pro finished my smog ran my credit card and Wallah I was back in my truck driving home. I usually put off getting my truck smogged because of difficulty but this was as simple it can get. Pros- Fast Professional Thoroughly inspected Honest Test only station No problems Cons- None Great job I will see you next time I have to smog in near me work vehicles trucks and vans. I came along this smog check place when eating at my favorite taco shop in this area. The smog shop is located in back of Loretos taco shop so to get to this place you must go thru the taco shops drive thru, its kinda weird but its back there.
