No I don't recommend this place, I tried leaving a negative review, it didn't fit their narrative so their business manager "Holly W" asked me to leave a "suggested review" and somehow deleted my first review because it was offensive or rude, it's like damn your business was offensive to me. Failed me on some bull and they know it, for a hose that wasn't broke (verified by another shop) then done charged me for a retest and then tried finding additional stuff wrong on my return visit only for me to call them out on that with "paperwork" proof. Told them take my truck back now and pass it so I can get on up outta this place. paid, bailed and left. Moved here from Hawai'i and we didn't have to do a smog test for our cars there. I recently went to the DMV spent almost 2 hours to renew my registration to find out I needed a smog test. We have used AAA Smog several times. They switched owners but they still offer the same great customer service as before. All the employees are knowledgeable. Corinna helped over the phone and with registration. The manager Sam helped as well. I was also helped by another female staff member who helped me with my smog I didn't catch her name. She was polite and had to explain to me that I had to drive 50 miles more to be qualified for the smog test. There was an extra fee for this. You have to pay for the smog and registration separately. You have to pay extra to get your registration here but to me it's worth it. You get it right away and don't have to wait for it in the mail. read more

Came in today after 10am I enjoy this location because I can always get in and out without any issues. The service is always impeccable, literally second to none. I came here to get my registration done, yes I held out down to the wire . But it's always worth it, you get the paperwork done no problem and get your stickers all in one go. These guys used to be the cheapest in town. I was recommending them all over the place two years ago. I came there with my truck, and had just done some work on it so they had to give me a free retest after the sensors were able to obtain information again. Like most places, at the time, they allowed a free retest. (Not anymore) Two years later, I'm back again, and I had recently done work on my truck again, but drove it a little bit this time but it's still needed to be driven a little bit further apparently. He told me I need to drive some more, and I asked him if there was a fee for retest and he said yes, and I was blown away because I've been a longtime customer for these guys and They never have charged me for a retest. And any place I've ever been to in my life doesnt charge a fee to retest. Never heard of that. Honestly though, I'm not bothered by the 20 extra dollars that he wanted to charge me for it. I'm more bothered by the way that they reacted because I was upset about it and was hit off guard. I was used to no fee for retest and a cheaper rate that they test at. Things have changed apparently, but I was caught off guard. And explained that. They weren't very nice people. Especially the young girl that works there, she has the most condescending, unprofessional, racist ridden, worst attitude I've ever Seen with customer service, aside from the other guy that works the whole place, he also seemed condescending and was trying to act like I was the one with the big problem when he reacted to me being upset about the fee. I barely said anything and he was like you need to calm down Over and over, which actually put me into an aggrevated state of mind leaving the place. No one was yelling. But I will add, that when he got in my truck to test it, He did not pull the break lever and drove it. And then the second time when I did the retest he was driving it all erratically tires slipping etc when he pulled around the building to test it... i said to the girl "do you hear that?" and she pretends like she didn't hear the tires on the asphalt. So then I tell her that I am not really liking my experience this time around, and she just looks at me and says "maybe you shouldn't return then" ... I was blown away. I don't know man, all I can say is, is they blew it with me and I will never return again with pleasure and highly DO NOT recommend them. Their company went downhill and the people that work there are not nice people or polite. I called the smog station on magnolia. He said $70 out the door. I know where I will go next time. I highly DO NOT recommend these guys. Shame on them and their nasty condescending racist fueled attitude. In the end he didn't charge me for the retest, of which I was thankful, but the feeling I got after I left it just was horrible. These people are horrible. And that girl, I can taste racism from here to China. She must've had a tough life. Very sad. Or maybe more of an entitled life. That nose was very high in the air. Anyway, they rewarded themselves this review. I hope the owner has a talk with them about being more professional when people get upset about their policy changes that are a surprise. They have nothing posted about no free retest anywhere and if I had known, it was like that, I would not have gone there in the first place. Great experience with my vehicle! I call yesterday to ensure they could smog my vehicle without complication. They actually spent time listening to my vehicle concerns and questions as my vehicle is a diesel and exempt. For my diesel friends, they will understand exempt, however my previous "Smog" inspection at a different location failled to understand the difference as well as looking up the information. I made an appointment online for 12/24 @ 4pm. I showed up and the center was closed. I called the center multiple times and then spoke with Matt who told me to come in on 12/26 and that they closed early due to the holiday. Why was I able to make an appointment online if they were going to close early? I came back on 12/27 and had my smog check and inquired about my title transfer. The girl I spoke with told me to come back on Monday 12/30 because they were closed on the weekend and because they were already closing so she could help me with the title transfer. I called on 12/30 to confirm when the center closes and the girl I spoke with told me 4:30pm. I inquired about whether they were open or not on 12/31 and what their hours would be if they were open and she told me they would be open till 4:30pm on 12/31. I come on 12/31 and they closed early yet again! I checked online, Yelp, their website, the front door.... NO WHERE does it show them closing before 5pm on 12/25 or 12/31. I understand it's the holidays but people work. It's hard to make time for annoyances like car paperwork. If you're going to close early update your website, your Yelp account, google maps, and INFORM YOUR STAFF so they don't communicate the wrong information to customers! I spoke to the manager and all he could do was apologize and attempt to have me come back AGAIN in the new year! I am pregnant and working and went out of my way just to try and work with these people and this is the service they provide. They prioritize themselves over their customers and are very unprofessional. If I could leave zero stars I would because they're undeserving. read more

Got a DMV smog notice and saw good reviews of this place and gave it a try. They were able to get me in without any appointment and had the car finished in about 10-15 mins at a cost of $53. Staff were friendly across the board. I'm sure there are cheaper options but if you need a smog done promptly this place will get it done! read more
