Great service! Helped me complete an in progress transaction when others said they couldn't. Holly was quick, efficient and accurate!

Went to get my truck smog have been going here for years. These guys are true professionals that will get you in and out as fast as possible. Most times no need to even make an appointment. Highly recommend. read more

I got the dreaded letter to get my car smog tested when I renewed my registration. I had bought a new car a couple years ago, so I had avoided the smog test for a few years, until now. It was a busy time of the year for me, and I was looking for a place that was quick and easy to make an afternoon appointment at since I do not have a flexible schedule. I highly recommend this location! They are efficient and reliable. read more

Excellent service. Took care of my smog, out of state paperwork, all good and fast! Would recommend

Moved here from Hawai'i and we didn't have to do a smog test for our cars there. I recently went to the DMV spent almost 2 hours to renew my registration to find out I needed a smog test. We have used AAA Smog several times. They switched owners but they still offer the same great customer service as before. All the employees are knowledgeable. Corinna helped over the phone and with registration. The manager Sam helped as well. I was also helped by another female staff member who helped me with my smog I didn't catch her name. She was polite and had to explain to me that I had to drive 50 miles more to be qualified for the smog test. There was an extra fee for this. You have to pay for the smog and registration separately. You have to pay extra to get your registration here but to me it's worth it. You get it right away and don't have to wait for it in the mail. read more

Came in today after 10am I enjoy this location because I can always get in and out without any issues. The service is always impeccable, literally second to none. I came here to get my registration done, yes I held out down to the wire . But it's always worth it, you get the paperwork done no problem and get your stickers all in one go. I've been coming here for years and I refuse to go anywhere else. They take all forms of payment, cash, card and checks. The value of time and effort you save is immense. The group that works here no matter when you show up are all business and they really do care for the customer. read more

No I don't recommend this place, I tried leaving a negative review, it didn't fit their narrative so their business manager "Holly W" asked me to leave a "suggested review" and somehow deleted my first review because it was offensive or rude, it's like damn your business was offensive to me. Failed me on some bull and they know it, for a hose that wasn't broke (verified by another shop) then done charged me for a retest and then tried finding additional stuff wrong on my return visit only for me to call them out on that with "paperwork" proof. Told them take my truck back now and pass it so I can get on up outta this place. paid, bailed and left. Look at my other reviews, I don't leave reviews for nothing, treat me right good review treat me like shit, people gone get learned bout y'all. Instead owning up and admit y'all failed, but nope y'all throw shade and wanna hate because I'm honest af, prices gone up and values gone down. I won't be back. read more

I'm so happy someone told me about the smog and registration process because when I returned to California, it was so easy to talk to the people there. I forgot their names, but everyone was professional and knew exactly what to do for my car. Joyful because it's close to our neighborhood, definitely worth it! I got the smog check done first, then the registration, even though it wasn't on the same day. It was such a smooth experience! read more

Highly recommend!!! Outstanding, helpful customer service!!! Matt and his team are very friendly and positive (even on Mother's day - they were trying to close early and still welcomed customers with a smile). So convenient! Smog only took 10 minutes or so, and you can also get your tags right there - no need to wait for DMV to send them to you. Pay cash to save five bucks on a credit card fee. read more

Quick service but disappointed. Been coming here for years, but now its $75 for a smog check! Won't be back.

Stopped by today for a smog check. Was in and out of there in less than 20 mins. Only paid a flat rate of $60 to include certificate. Best part was that I reached out via YELP and they were quick to respond and provide quote and availability. Definitely a good smog check center for anyone requiring it in the future. read more

Fast service, got my smog check done in less than 20 mins. Staff was helpful and polite.

Service was fast! Received a quote within 5 minutes. Did not schedule an appointment, just walked in and they were able to see me right away. Waited around 5 minutes and the entire process was completed and they contact DMV on your behalf if you need a smog. They also offer registration services at their location as well. read more

I bought an out-of-state truck and didn't know the full out-of-state title transfer process. I brought in all my paperwork, and Matt was able to guide me in what else was needed. Went down the street to obtain the weigh station certificate with no issues. Matt's team smogged and inspected the truck without issue. All the necessary paperwork was put together, and I walked out with plates and tags. Thanks to the team at AAA Smog Center for an easy, friendly process! read more

Quick, stress free, and friendly. I moved from Hawaii and unfamiliar with all the requirements needed to get the registration for California. I called twice to double check what I needed. Both times the phone was answered in a timely manner and with great customer service. I attempted to call the DMV numerous times and could never reach a real person. I tried to do my own research with no clear cut answer. Thanks to Yelp I found this one-stop-shop. ITEMS YOU NEED if YOUR TRANSFERRING OUT OF STATE and you need to register your car in San Diego. You need: 1. Your Title if you own your vehicle. The registration if you have a lien on your vehicle. 2. Smog Test (Mention the Yelp check-in for $15 off) 3. Vin Verification 4. Drivers license Other Information you need to know: 1. When you bought your car. 2. How much it cost when you bought the car. Excellent customer service: I was quickly greeted by a young gentleman. There was no line! Then Holly assisted my husband and I with the paperwork to get my registration, smog and vin verification. All we had to do was sign the paper. You get your stickers and license plate right away. The same gentlemen who greeted me did the smog check. Matt quickly put on the license plates and stickers. Everything was done in less than 20 minutes. My mother-in-law recently got her registration and she went to three different places to get the smog test, vin verification, and to the DMV. She waited in line over 3 hours at the DMV. She has to put on her own license plate and stickers. Yelp peeps by pass all the frustration, waiting in line, lost time and head over to this one-stop-shop. Covid-19: review 6 Avoid the crowds at the DMV. read more

Checked reviews for AAA Smog and they did not disappoint! Fast, easy, excellent and efficient service. They quoted me an excellent price for a star certified smog and that was what I paid. These guys used to be the cheapest in town. I was recommending them all over the place two years ago. I came there with my truck, and had just done some work on it so they had to give me a free retest after the sensors were able to obtain information again. Like most places, at the time, they allowed a free retest. (Not anymore) Two years later, I'm back again, and I had recently done work on my truck again, but drove it a little bit this time but it's still needed to be driven a little bit further apparently. He told me I need to drive some more, and I asked him if there was a fee for retest and he said yes, and I was blown away because I've been a longtime customer for these guys and They never have charged me for a retest. And any place I've ever been to in my life doesnt charge a fee to retest. Never heard of that. Honestly though, I'm not bothered by the 20 extra dollars that he wanted to charge me for it. I'm more bothered by the way that they reacted because I was upset about it and was hit off guard. I was used to no fee for retest and a cheaper rate that they test at. Things have changed apparently, but I was caught off guard. And explained that. They weren't very nice people. Especially the young girl that works there, she has the most condescending, unprofessional, racist ridden, worst attitude I've ever Seen with customer service, aside from the other guy that works the whole place, he also seemed condescending and was trying to act like I was the one with the big problem when he reacted to me being upset about the fee. I barely said anything and he was like you need to calm down Over and over, which actually put me into an aggrevated state of mind leaving the place. No one was yelling. But I will add, that when he got in my truck to test it, He did not pull the break lever and drove it. And then the second time when I did the retest he was driving it all erratically tires slipping etc when he pulled around the building to test it... i said to the girl "do you hear that?" and she pretends like she didn't hear the tires on the asphalt. So then I tell her that I am not really liking my experience this time around, and she just looks at me and says "maybe you shouldn't return then" ... I was blown away. I don't know man, all I can say is, is they blew it with me and I will never return again with pleasure and highly DO NOT recommend them. Their company went downhill and the people that work there are not nice people or polite. I called the smog station on magnolia. He said $70 out the door. I know where I will go next time. I highly DO NOT recommend these guys. Shame on them and their nasty condescending racist fueled attitude. In the end he didn't charge me for the retest, of which I was thankful, but the feeling I got after I left it just was horrible. These people are horrible. And that girl, I can taste racism from here to China. She must've had a tough life. Very sad. Or maybe more of an entitled life. That nose was very high in the air. Anyway, they rewarded themselves this review. I hope the owner has a talk with them about being more professional when people get upset about their policy changes that are a surprise. They have nothing posted about no free retest anywhere and if I had known, it was like that, I would not have gone there in the first place. Especially after the quote I got down the street, but I continued to stay loyal to the people that I thought we were gonna treat me better. read more

Title transfer, registration renewal, and smog certificate. This place is great They were really helpful when my car wouldn't pass smog. And while you do pay for their services in regards to dmv renewals, etc., you don't spend hours in the DMV. In my opinion they are well worth the cost. read more

This is my go-to place for smog checks. I have been going there for a couple of years now. Their prices are reasonable. They only take walk-ins, but I have never had to wait longer than 30 minutes. Great experience with my vehicle! I call yesterday to ensure they could smog my vehicle without complication. They actually spent time listening to my vehicle concerns and questions as my vehicle is a diesel and exempt. For my diesel friends, they will understand exempt, however my previous "Smog" inspection at a different location failled to understand the difference as well as looking up the information. These professionals understood there was a difference and verified by recognizing items not on my vehicle. I appreciate not having to argue and explain my smog exceptions. Nice group to work with as well. read more

Gone in Sixty (x20) Seconds. Stopped in around 7:30am on a Saturday morning and there was one customer in the lobby waiting for his smog test to finish. I needed to get my vehicle smogged for renewing next year's DMV registration stickers. The gal behind the counter greeted and waved me over to get the process started. I thought I would have some time to edit photos and knock out a couple of reviews, but the smog test was completed rather quickly as the guy backed my car into the parking spot and handed me the keys. I remembered to show the yelp check-in coupon and tapped a few keys on their e-tablet to complete the transaction. Another item checked off the Honeydew List. read more

Amazing service, kind communication, and QUICK. I called to ask a few questions ahead of time and he happily answered. They took me in with open arms right at their last appointment time (30 minutes before closing). I felt like I was in the lobby for 5-10 minutes. Workers help with a smile on their face and a good attitude. 10/10 would recommend. I'm not going anywhere else. read more

Most professional and knowledgeable staff of technicians I could encounter. I'd been to 3 or 4 other mechanics shops over the last 4 or 5 weeks and was told absurd and incorrect information about the glitch in my car. The technician Tommy went above and beyond to treat me with respect and explain what my exact problem was, I left there today, fully smogged, tagged and registered. Thank you Smogs n tags. I highly recommend you to everyone. read more

I made an appointment online for 12/24 @ 4pm. I showed up and the center was closed. I called the center multiple times and then spoke with Matt who told me to come in on 12/26 and that they closed early due to the holiday. Why was I able to make an appointment online if they were going to close early? I came back on 12/27 and had my smog check and inquired about my title transfer. The girl I spoke with told me to come back on Monday 12/30 because they were closed on the weekend and because they were already closing so she could help me with the title transfer. I called on 12/30 to confirm when the center closes and the girl I spoke with told me 4:30pm. I inquired about whether they were open or not on 12/31 and what their hours would be if they were open and she told me they would be open till 4:30pm on 12/31. I come on 12/31 and they closed early yet again! I checked online, Yelp, their website, the front door.... NO WHERE does it show them closing before 5pm on 12/25 or 12/31. I understand it's the holidays but people work. It's hard to make time for annoyances like car paperwork. If you're going to close early update your website, your Yelp account, google maps, and INFORM YOUR STAFF so they don't communicate the wrong information to customers! I spoke to the manager and all he could do was apologize and attempt to have me come back AGAIN in the new year! I am pregnant and working and went out of my way just to try and work with these people and this is the service they provide. They prioritize themselves over their customers and are very unprofessional. If I could leave zero stars I would because they're undeserving. read more
