We made the HUGE mistake of ordering a rental suit for prom at Men's Warehouse online. The suit was…read moresupposed to arrive at least 7 days before the event. After multiple calls inquiring when it was supposed to arrive at our house when that date came and went, they finally sent a new suit 3 days before prom. They said the original suit never shipped and just sitting in the warehouse ready for pickup. Well, the suit we ordered was supposed to be slim fit - when it arrived, the suit that was sent to us was hideous. And yes, we ordered many suits from The Black Tux before so we know the sizes and fit well. I knew better than to switch suit companies but we did.... I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do to get us a new suit in time that fit. I called the local Men's Warehouse in Kalamazoo after my son was completely panicking. All I can say is what lifesavers they are! They had me bring the suit in that day and completely refit my son into something he was happy with. The employees that worked there were awesome! We should have gone there in the first place instead of trying our luck online. And be warned - we learned directly from the staff, even though the suits online say slim fit and you select that option, some suits are not offered in slim fit. So misleading! Don't make the same mistake we did - just go directly to the store and they will take great care of you.

This quiet little suit shop is a city gem... It's glory deserves to be shouted about on top of…read moremountains, but this is Michigan, and we don't have mountains, so I'm going to Yelp about them. I tagged along on a last minute trip to acquire a suit for a wedding. I suggested we hit some designer surplus stores to see if we could find a last minute bargain--- my guy had something different in mind. He said "If I'm going to buy a suit, I want it to fit, and want it to really feel like it's made for me." Mind you, the wedding is (soon to be "was") in two days, a tall order for something of good quality... As you can tell, my partner in crime is quite the "planner." Luckily, he'd done some research and found Suits U online and thought it would be a good place to start. Honestly, I was expecting everything to be out of the budget. Fancy suits, custom tailoring, many belts bound of fine of Italian leather and such... All of the above felt out of reach. I was pleasantly surprised. The salesman/tailor offered exceptional service. He started off with a very nice suit, was it expensive? Yes. Was it ridiculously expensive? No. Quite simply, he offered something that was a great deal. I it was a $700ish "I feel like James Bond" quality suit that was 50% off --- a higher end, but not unreasonable, choice for someone in their late 20s who's ready to have a multi-purpose suit for many years to come. Still, my dude needed to be somewhere in the middle budget wise. The salesperson was happy to adjust. The next suit nailed it. $175 for a suit that fit even the most lanky of James Bonds! My dude said he could tell the quality wasn't as good in some aspect, but I'd be damned if he didn't still look like 1 million dollars. Overall, the suit was still well made... Just not "$700, well made." The tailor made minor adjustments for an extra-custom fit in a flash, wrote up the order, told us he'd make sure we'd have our suit by the wedding, and we were off! Boom. Very nice and professional gentleman. Extra deals I was into: - Quality dress shirts at an affordable $25 when purchased w/suit - Italian leather belts 50% off, quoted to last a lifetime I was surprised at the location of Suits U, it was right next to our favorite sushi place and we'd never even noticed it before. The sign is very basic, perhaps a redesigned sign would help draw some much deserved attention to this place!

HIGH RECOMMENDATION! We are so grateful we came across Suits U Menswear when looking for a suit…read more With only a month before the wedding, NAME met us with grace and professionalism. We learned a great deal about shoes, belts, shirts, and suits during our experience, and he was always very kind! Our personalized visits gave my husband a unique suit tailored to him perfectly, and he received so many compliments on our wedding day. We can't wait for another excuse to go back! The price is matched with great quality, a custom experience, and everything you love about a locally owned business with years of experience.

Best damn men's store in western Michigan in every way…read more I found myself with a wardrobe emergency in Kalamazoo. With the family wedding to attend the next day, I discovered I brought the wrong suitcase across the state and wasn't really up for a 4 hour return trip. If I could only get black socks I could kinda fake it with khaki pants, a short sleeved light blue shirt, and black shoes. I figured I would go to a Walmart in the morning for black socks. My wife asked the pre-wedding barbecue table where to go for socks in K'zoo. Every local man said, nearly in unison: Libins. I figured I *had* to try it. I walked in and said at the very least I needed black socks, preferably over the calf. But if possible, also a jacket, dress shirt, tie and fancy suspenders. I didn't have high expectations. I'm the kind of guy who can't buy anything off the rack. My saleswoman said she was thinking a blue blazer to go with the khakis, which is just what I had in mind. The first one was a bit too tight. I told her I wouldn't mind a pattern. The next one fit perfectly, including the sleeve and jacket length, and I loved it even more than the jacket I left behind in Monroe. It took her a minute, but no longer, to find a matching shirt in my size. She pulled out four ties and I picked one. It wasn't one I would have bought on sight because I *had* to have it, but it was definitely one I would have bought on the road when I needed a tie because it was in the neighborhood of what I like. Suspenders that made the outfit pop took another 30 seconds. Black over the calf socks took a minute because she forgot the over the calf part at first. A couple of minutes to hear stories from the other customers about the current macaw and the crusty old predecessor, and a few minutes to ring me up. Out the door with a fantastic wedding wardrobe in about 10 minutes. When I told other guests at the wedding I got all of "this" in 10 minutes at Libins that morning, the locals all said of course I did. They reveled me with their stories of going to Libins with their father as a boy, or that they got the very suit they had on there, including the groom and his father. I can't say enough about the selection, the helpful staff, the huge bird greeter, and the strong sense of tradition that fills the place.
