This location is AWFUl! Never in my life has a store made me feel so bad. I purchased a pair of pants that after wearing around my house stretched so badly that I wanted to go down a size. Athleta has a wear and be happy policy. LOL Banana basically investigated my pants and tried telling me because I wore them around my house. I was debating between sizes. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong!! Shouldn't I be happy with my purchase. I think she's the manager, she is rude, unkind. That policy being unhappy with your purchase must be how banana operates. Their clothes aren't cheap. I should be happy. And I'm sorry your pants stretched out so badly in 10 mins for me to figure out sizing that exchanging them was such a big deal. Then because I sure rewards I owed money. Just such poor customer service. No wonder I typically always shop at Nordstrom. They care about their customers. Horrible! Wouldn't go back to this store again. read more

I usually do not visit Banana Republic because the sales people are uppity. I decided to browse this store for the first time to kill some time. Surprisingly the sales people here were very nice and helpful. I found a shirt I liked on sale and a nice lady helped me pick out the right size. The clothes here are good quality. I will be back when I'm in the area. read more

Very helpful staff. The store is as great as every other Banana Republic but this one was ridiculously hot inside. When you're selling $100 sundresses in an outdoor shopping mall in the nations hottest state, why would you want to skimp on the A/C? Let you customers cool off while they shop and before they try on your clothes and wipe their sweat all over the inside of them. read more

OK we all know about the merchandise. Looks expensive, is expensive and everyone likes it.... My problem was with the customer service this time. I have to admit, I have gone to this shop before and it was just fine, but this one time, no. There was a sign at the door which said 40% off one men's item, not specification on anything else. (for father's day) So I went and picked up a shirt and proceeded to pay. I waited and then when it was my turn walked up. Then I was told that the item I picked is not included in the promo being it is new. I then said that I didn't want it. The cashier then said something, not sure if to the person next to her or to her headset, and then said they will honor it. During the whole transaction the person made no eye contact, when she talked I didn't know if it was to me or to the headset. No greeting, no thank you nothing. I was the one who said thank. It looked like they were doing ME a favor by selling me the shirt!!! TSA agents are more friendly and courteous. read more

Yikes..... this store is a mess and not because of the merchandise. I went to look for a Christmas present for my dad and knew he liked a specific pair of pants. I made direct eye contact with multiple sales associates and NOT ONE said anything to me at all or even showed a small dash of kindness. After feeling too intimidated to approach one of the scowling associates, I waited in line for one of the associates at the register. When asking about the pant, they told me that this pant was no longer carried in the store. This can be completely understandable because the pants that my dad owns are very old and probably are an older style. When I asked if there was anything that compared they didn't offer any suggestions. The associate pulled on of the managers over and she scoffed at me and told me that they didn't sell it and that she had nothing to suggest to me. It honestly baffled me that a store leader wouldn't even TRY to sell anything slightly similar to this pant and make a sale, especially during the holiday season. I proceeded to find a pant and pray that they were similar enough to his reliable pair. The associate who checked me out made almost no eye contact with me and gave off a very negative attitude that I was making a purchase and trying to make small talk. She then offered to wrap up and box my gift and I said "yes, I would love that." You could literally see her smile drop from her face and she glared at me while wrapping the pair of pants in tissue paper and for some reason didn't box it up after offering it? As a Gap Inc. employee, it is extremely upsetting to see one of the brands run their store in this manner. I am aware of how any Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and/or Athleta store is to be run and this clearly was the opposite of the experience corporate advises their stores to run. I hope my dad enjoys the pair of pants and doesn't need to return them because I can only imagine how rude and coldhearted the associates will be come December 26th. Next time, I'll just drive to Scottsdale and hope it is a better experience. Otherwise, I wouldn't be too sad to see this location go. read more

I'm usually an Express guy, thought i'd try out banana republic while i was in Gilbert getting some of that "Frost" Gelato...walked in, the Service was just amazing, i believe the associates name was Brody or Brandon, forgot the name (sorry) the guy had good style & was very helpful. Although I am a big fan of the clothes I will do everything in my power not to return this location. I've been there twice in the last week, both times I barely got a "hello." Horrible customer service. I was in the store for 40 minutes and not once did anyone offer to help. So I called the Chandler location and had them hold it which is where I will go for now on!! read more

For all you seasoned yelpers out there, I opened an account just to give this specific BR store a review....though I'm sure I'll be back to provide more reviews as my Dad taught me to give credit where credit is due. I recently moved to the area and needed some assistance with a handbag I purchased at BR well over 5 years ago. This bag went with me everywhere and worked with almost anything. Recently, the sealant on the side of the shoulder strap began to tear and crack. I visited another BR while living in a different state and the only help I received was "get it fixed at a leather repair shop." No attempt whatsoever to make it right. After visiting numerous leather repair shops, they sent me back to BR as there was nothing they could do. Again, I love this bag and quickly drove myself to my nearest BR ready for a throw down. The initial salesperson was helpful, but not very encouraging. She gave me the usual "this looks like normal wear and tear," but asked to take my beloved bag and show it to her manager-Brody. Days passed and I was I sure that there was nothing they would do, however, the salesperson called me back to assure me that the manager would look into it, but I needed to wait as he was out of town. Well, Monday arrived and I received a call from Brody. He was personable and had already gone the extra mile by calling customer service. He told me that he would be unable to replace the bag (I figured that), but was willing to send me a VERY generous gift card to use towards the purchase of another bag...WIN! And, this was no wimpy gift card, but enough to purchase almost any bag in their store. In fact, I've already spotted a ringer for my bag that should be in the store soon. No arguments, no hassle, no brush off. I've read reviews regarding BR's return policy, so I was doubtful I would get any help at this point, but BR has changed how I look at their product...Thanks, Brody! read more

The service here used to be so bad that you could walk around pick up several items and never be spoken to, the last 6 months it is an entirely different atmosphere and a pleasure to shop there. Decent selection although they do not carry 38\30 anymore so I can't buy slacks or jeans anymore. read more
