Finally, I went to my laundry basket and counted to makes sure I didn't miss anything. I have thirty-three pieces of Duluth clothing that I wear all the time! I have two types of T's. I have polos. I have two types of cargo shorts and dress shorts. I even have a bunch of Duluth underwear! The pic I posted is a simple Henley T that is about seven years old and has been washed a bazillion times and still going strong. I've never lost a button and it's never frayed or had a ripped seam. It's great for banging around town and running errands. Their stuff is solid beyond words albeit a little pricy, but the value is there. Duluth is primarily a catalog company that of course has an online presence and that's how I make my purchases. So, what about the store? I suspect a visitor unfamiliar with the product would give it four or even five stars. It's clean and beautifully merchandized. The customer service is just fine. There is easy access to the online catalog if you need it. For me, as I'm so comfortable with the product over so many years, the store doesn't add much. However, because the product is awesome and the store is picture perfect with great service, I'm going with five stars!

I went in a little over a week ago to get a pair of shoes that were on sale…read more I didn't see any on the sales floor so I looked online and it showed they had 2 pair in my size. Great. I could find no one in ANY department to try and get service in shoes. I saw 2 people working the check out area but no other employees and I did 2 full laps around the store. So I called and left a complaint which I'm sure had great effect. That was sarcasm in case you missed it. So just now I thought I'd give them another chance. I called the store directly and my call was sent to someone in shoes. Great again. After a 5 minute wait a very helpful person took the information about the shoes (online said they still had the 2 or) and she said she would go make sure they were there and I would hold. 10 minutes later I get customer service again and I said I was holding for someone in shoes. She was talking but evidently to someone else because I couldn't understand her, but she eventually got back on the phone and asked for my name and number someone would call back. I declined her offer. They made what should have been a simple transaction for $68 into a pain in the butt purchase for $85 ( the sale is over of course) but I guess it doesn't matter because it's NO SALE period and there would have to be a very compelling reason for me to ever shop at Kohl's again. There's at least 5 other stores in the area that also have the shoes for $85, I'm going to try one now.

My wife and i picked our our clothes, tried them etc and went 5 mins past 6. At this point one of the managers by the name of " Latisha or Leticia" was extremely rude to us. She walked over and told me that if i was ready they could ring me up. I said give me just a minute my wife is picking up her top and we will be right there. Once i got to the register she had a rude and discriminatory attitude towards us. She did not ask me if i would like to sign up for their credit card to save money or did not care to help me apply the coupon i had found that i wanted to use. When it came time to pay i was transferring funds to use my card and she says " you can insert your card now the store is closed" to which i said yes its been 7 mins the store has been closed and i am purchasing $400 worth of merchandise from you. She continued her rudeness and basically just wanted us out. My wife had our daughter in our stroller and she did not even help open the door. Overall extremely rude and discriminatory attitude. Horrible experience.

Use caution when ordering from Aldo's website (per myself and a store employee)…read more I ordered a pair of boots online and didn't like them in person. No problem, we have an Aldo store here in DSM, and I packed the boots up and took them to the store for return. I had my receipt, so I thought, and the return should have been easy. Come to find out, I did not have the receipt...I had the packing slip, and the receipt itself was long gone in the garbage...because it was hidden under the shipping label on the outside of the packaging. Because I did not have the receipt, the store couldn't refund my money. They couldn't give me store credit. They could only do an immediate exchange for something else. Bah. That is just dumb. And that is also why the store employee told me to use caution when ordering from the website. (He recommend to come into the store to place orders...that way you get a printed receipt. Seems like a lot of work to me, but he was trying to be helpful.) I did find a replacement pair of boots, and they even let me use a coupon. I feel like I'm not putting into words the service that I received while I was here. Let me try again: Although I was not pleased that my only option was to do an immediate exchange, the staff was incredibly helpful. Alex especially. He clearly explained the policies to me and empathized that they were less than ideal. He carefully processed my exchange and was very pleasant. I emailed Aldo corporate about his service--that's how good it was.

Fast forward many many many years later. I went shopping for Halloween and saw a Ragstock a couple doors down. Went in and had to do a double take. Did I walk into a Ragstock? This place was well lite and so organized. So while this isn't the same type of store I remember from college, it was still pretty awesome. They had a great mix of vintage items. Their Halloween section was actually really fun and affordable. Loved the Recycled Scout shirts rack that were only $15 a shirt.
