There are salesmen: people with the above average knowledge of why people buy; and there are closers, people that are masters at finding their clients choices between something, and something else until the client finds a reason and rational to pop on a purchase. Today I bought two sports coats at the Men's Wearhouse and really didn't care for them. Loved going in to Halberstadts and meeting Seth, he actually gave a crap about what I was up to, what I liked, and my concerns. When I was trying on things he was taking my info I fed him and finding me solutions. I ended up buying 2 sports coats from him, and 3 shirts; spent $100.00 more then men's warehouse. I was kind of dreading purchasing a suit that I wouldn't wear very often, but after spending some time in the suit this weekend I am inspired to wear it more often. I purchased the suit separates, which allowed me to get the correct size coat and the exact size pants that I needed. The 100% wool fabric feels nice and was amazingly comfortable. I needed some tailoring, which was done quickly and accurately. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. They made sure that everything fit properly and that I had everything I needed for the wedding.

I have been a fan of Jos. A. Pants are too tight on my but (especially when sitting) and jacket is bulging out when I button it (my weight is exactly the same as when I purchased it). Its like a waste of the $1,000 I spent on them. Although friendly enough, very poor job of staff advising on the fit. I sense they are just trying to sell regardless of whether it fits or not. (For ordinary fashion that attitude might not matter, but for suits you expect staff to advise.) I don't live in DSM (not there so often) so hard to go back there to get it fixed, if that is even possible. I definitely wont be going back there.
