When I was trying on things he was taking my info I fed him and finding me solutions. I ended up buying 2 sports coats from him, and 3 shirts; spent $100.00 more then men's warehouse. She really took the time to get to know me and get to know what my style preferences were and understood what I needed to be able to not get overwhelmed by the options they had. She even let us go past my appointment end time because we were stuck between three options and put me back in each one to see if it could help me narrow it down and it absolutely did. I ended up buying my favorite that day and I am so, so, so excited to wear it for my wedding! When ordering the dress, staff got my color wrong and almost ordered the wrong dress. luckily I caught it. Then told me the dress wasn't out of stock 1 day after telling me there were 3 left in stock. I knew this had to be a mistake and ended up having to talk to 3 different staff members before they could find the correct dress in stock. Now it's a month before my wedding and my wedding dress is literally falling apart at the seams. This should not be happening on a $2,000 dollar dress. I called the store to see what could be done and was informed that nothing could be done and I have to pay to get it fixed myself. As the lady on the phone told me this she did not sound sorry at all and was rather quite rude about it. I am not a fan of people who call businesses just to yell. So I calmly explained the problem and asked what could be done. Imagine my surprise when they informed me they would do nothing about the $2,000 dress falling apart. It was no longer their problem. Be aware that you will be controlled by the sales team. You are not allowed to take ANY photos of any dresses unless you put money down to pay for it. You are not allowed to try on more than five dresses and you are not allowed to look for yourself through their inventory. They choose your dress. They tell you what you want. They tell you when you've found "the" dress. You're not even allowed to wear shoes in the store. Absolutely crazy. Family is not allowed to take pictures and you end up buying a dress almost without your own consent. It's almost like mind control the way they talk fast, move quick and leave no room for you to even think about what you're getting or offer your own opinions. On top of this, I was sold a dress with misaligned buttons that they refused to fix. You will be nickel and dimed here - and will even have to pay for your garment bag when you leave with your dress. Very classless, overstimulating, underwhelming experience. I did walk away with a dress but honestly, had I been given a moment to think and had I been able to see myself in pictures, I would have chosen differently. I would never recommend this place to a bride because I believe that experience should be fun and peaceful, not an opportunity to be "sold" by fast talking car salespeople that just want a tip. I purchased a couple of sweaters for my wife, as Christmas gifts. One sweater fit, the other did…read morenot. Talbots is not a store with low prices. I had the gift receipts for both, but couldn't remember which receipt, went for which sweater. So my wife took both sweaters (and gift receipts) back in to the store I purchased them from, with the intent to either replace the non-fitting sweater or receive the amount I paid for it. She was met with extremely poor customer service by a "mature employee" (probably close to my age) and was given a hard time and down right rude attitude to her, about returning the sweater. I shopped at Talbots, because at one time they were a very reputable store, apparently this is no longer true. My wife was so upset, that when she came home, she said she would no longer shop there again; and asked that I do the same. In this day and age of struggling economy, you would think a store of items priced as they are, would put forward a better customer service attitude to retain clients. Unfortunately, not only did they loose my wife's future purchases, but mine also, going forward.

My home store is either Sioux Falls, SD or Naples, FL. Both of them are super, the people that work there greet everyone when they walk in and are extremely helpful picking out items that I wouldn't even think to try on. I generally end up buying what they pick out. This is the second time this has happened to me at the Jordan Creek Mall store. Not too excited to go back to that store.
