This was an okay Kohls location. Most Kohl's stores are relatively similar, and this one is no different. There was a decent selection of clearance items, and I was surprised to find that there was quite a bit of Christmas clearance left (when I was there in March). The store itself was pretty clean. Everything was organized relatively well, but there were a couple items out-of-place - that's pretty standard in retail, though. It was easy enough to find what I was looking for, and the bathrooms were spotless. Everything I was hoping to find was in-stock, and everything was easily priced and wrung up correctly at the register (including my clearance purchases). My only complaint was the check-out time. It was horrendously bad. I easily waited over 15 minutes. It wasn't a complete lack of employees, though. They opened up 2 extra registers once the line kept growing, but when the new lanes would be opened, the employees would privately ask the last people in the current lines if they wanted to move to the new lane, so it ended up not helping those who had been in the line the longest. The employee was nice enough once I finally did get to check-out, though, and she wrapped up my glasses and everything in paper to help protect them for the ride home. It doesn't seem like this check-out problem is a regular occurance, so I'll still be okay coming back to this store in the future. read more

They had a very hard time trying to get the gift as being marked off from the list though, and after well over 30 minutes, we finally got the thing taken care of. Late night for me. Picked up this mess of a package today through online order. I came from another town to get it! It was tightly wrapped and taped in a Kohl's sack to disguise the beaten up box. Yes I want the item inside, and it appears to be new, but I went through the store to shop for other things and they had many more of the same in much better shape. This is shameful, Kohl's Ankeny! How can you even find anything here? Everything is a mess & all over the place. Asked a cashier to check the price for me since there was just a sku on it & she rang it up instead then never checked the price. Everything is pretty much always on sale. This location isn't much different than any of the rest. They do seem to always have what I like on stock (whether it be a size or color I'm looking for) if I can't find it at any of the others in the area. Between Kohl's cash, seeming constant % off coupons (especially if you have their credit card), and regular sales you really can't go wrong shopping here. Well, I have been shopping at Kohls since high school and this one is pretty much the same as others. They are well-stocked with all products and the staff members are helpful. Visited this store last weekend. The women's bathroom needs someone to pay attention to it's issues. There were about six stalls and three had no way of locking the doors as the locks were broken, the feminine hygene dispenser had an "out of order" sign on it, there was NO soap and the water didn't work in two basins. When we went to try on clothes later, I've never seen a filthier floor im the dressing rooms with HUGE dust balls everywhere. Didn't want to remove my shoes as it was very dirty. Does anyone know how to wetmop the floors each night? Our Kohl's allover Minnesota are extremely clean. The Manager at this store must not be paying attention. read more
