Their online drops are legendary--beautiful, meaningful designs rooted in Hawaiian culture--but blink and you'll miss them. I've lost out more times than I can count, so stepping into their charming little yellow cottages on Monsarrat Avenue felt like a dream come true. The shop is small but thoughtfully curated, with just one of each size available--so every piece feels extra special. There are a few parking spots right out front (a gift in itself on Monsarrat!), and the whole experience feels intimate and intentional. From the hand-printed fabrics to the cultural storytelling woven into every design, Kealopiko is more than a clothing brand--it's a celebration of place, language, and identity. Super adorbs and totally worth the visit.

I saw the reviews of others saying that the service isn't super friendly. I get it. I live with some pretty angry Hawaiians and I get that it's hard to be happy all the time living here and working in an area filled with tourists. The few times I've been here, service has been a mixed bag. But they all get the job done. They'll usually try to give you a new item (instead of the display items) if they have any in stock. I think they are card only. Ofc the most difficult thing about kealopiko is how exclusive it is. They make their clothes in small batches and hand print the material. It's good quality items and honestly less expensive than some other locally owned stores, so I like shopping here. It's just sometimes hard to get your hands on things. I'll definitely be back. I try to follow them on Instagram so that I can head to the store when they do a drop. It was definitely easier when I lived in town.

The bandana matches the clothing so I can see this being popular with dog owners. They sell their matcha tins indoors as well as keep it Kaimuki merchandise so if you ever wanted to come by and pick it up you can find a selection here. They have limited outdoor seating to chill with open-air vibes. I especially love to come here and visit Frankie the shop mascot. He is so friendly and loves people

I was assisted to try on a few dresses. The dresses feel soft and are flattering. What I love the most is the dress I chose has pockets. I was able to find a matching shirt for my husband and a dress my for 5 year old. The price seems a lot, but its not. It's made in Hawaii. Made in house. So the QUALITY and WORKMANSHIP is what you are getting from it. Many people ask where I get my clothes. A lot of my favorite pieces are from this place. The quality is worth the money spent. There is only a few places you can get an outfit that will look good, last long and makes you feel good in it. This place is will always be my go to. A lot of the clothing pieces travel well and are versatile. You can look beach ready and dress it up with the right accessories and shoes. Last purchase I made was for a dress item that was too long. They provided alterations so I got the dress and a week later picked it up. It was perfect! Overall, ladies you can't go wrong here. The have flattering tops, pants and dresses. They have some pieces for the family. They even have jewelry to accessorize. They even do alterations.

It's always nicely layered with the ube and matcha and the workers here are usually nice and friendly. However today when I got the ube matcha, the girl working wasn't the friendliest for whatever reason. She wasn't very welcoming, nor have an overall positive vibe. I get everyone maybe has bad days, but she was saying "have a good day" in a friendly manner to other customers when they left. When she gave me my drink, she set it on the counter, turned the iPad around, and started doing something else without saying anything. I said thank you and she said "you're welcome" in a dead tone. A "thank you for coming" would've been better for a $9 matcha, that I think wasn't made very well. It was lacking in presentation in comparison to other times I've been. If you see the picture, that was from a time I had previously come. I forgot to take a picture today, but it was mixed and just very much lacking in presentation and taste (mostly tasted like the ube). I'm not gonna rate this business poorly because usually I love their matcha and their shop is cute, but the service today did not impress me. This was for 12/28/24 the employee with blonde hair.
